Old Favorite. As you walk into The Haymaker you can't help but admire the decor. The decor is very patriotic and respectful of our American values. On this visit we decided to get our food togo. I couldn't decide what entrée to choose so with a recommendation, I choose the chicken strip basket, B.L A.T sandwich, and fried zucchini. The chicken/zucchini were absolutely delicious and flaky. Both were light, crunchy, cooked perfectly, and served hot with the best homemade sauce and seasoned french fries. My dinner companion had the B.LA T, and ribbies and commented that both entrées were awesome. The entrée portions at Haymaker are large, enough for two. You will not be hungry after your meal. Haymaker is definitely on our list of restaurants to visit again. We will definitely be back, during happy hour (4-7 pm) when the craft beers are 1/2 price. read more

The food is overpriced for being of average quality and taste. Servers were rude and showed no interest in customer satisfaction. The atmosphere was stale and does not feel clean and as a paying customer I did not appreciate gnats flying around my food. Absolutely will not come back and will share my experience with all of my friends and business contacts. read more

Came here with a few friends one night just to see what this place is all about. The location was nice and well kept and well furnished. Very spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food came out at decent speed. Everyone enjoyed their food. I ordered their grilled cheese with onion rings. The cheese was quite burnt in one part inside of my sandwich, but still quite tasty. Their onion rings were very tasty, they reminded me of Burger King Onion Rings. Just bigger and a little more juicier. Okay time for the serious stuff. The Loo. At time of visit, it needed to be picked up, paper towels pieces could be found all over the floor. Water was also on the floor fortunately I didn't slip lol. The loo was quite retro too, but it's okay. And the paper towel roll was not inside the paper towel housing, it was just rolling all around the floor, not very good, people would be scared to use it. The power level of the throne was only slightly more powerful then a common modern house throne. Not bad. Overall a decent loo. Overall good experience, decent food, excellent service and average loo. Don't see why we wouldn't come back. read more

I've been coming to this location for years. The food is always great and I've always had an amazing experience, but I never felt the need to leave a review until today. Ashley M. was our server and she was the best. She was so nice, so attentive and so helpful the entire time. Even watching her interact with other tables I noticed how helpful she was. Great experience overall! read more

I'm impressed with this place, to me for what it is it leans towards a solid 4 or even 5 star location- The food was better then I thought it would be, considerably. This place deserves better than a 3.5 star. The eggs Benedict was really delicious & entrees are inexpensive- more like one dollar sign, not two. How many places can you go and get great food for under $10? There's only a few & this is one. The place is doing a great job, it's a good size location with chill ambiance, TVs, booths and good service. What else can you ask for, really?! I would definitely come back here, or recommend this place to someone who's looking for a tasty low priced diner. Is this place the best of the best, not exactly- although seriously my eggs Benedict was really delicious. For the price I think this place is hard to beat. If you like a good value I think you found your spot. I haven't fully explored their menu although what my friends ordered also looked good- but my Benedict looked better. Happy eating!! read more

We wanted to try something new and Haymaker was nearby and not super busy. Our first impression, none of the staff was wearing masks and they were not required. I know that's a make or break for some but we still chose to dine in. The service was great and we had our order taken pretty quickly. I had the cowboy platter which had eggs, bacon, potatoes O'Brien and toast. Hubs had the biscuits gravy and eggs. The food was done really well and we really liked the breakfast potatoes. There was a lot of food and the prices were really fair. We will definitely be back in the future to try out their lunch selections as well. read more

I have passed by Haymaker's many times on the way to medical appointments and always wanted to stop. I saw a local flavors coupon for them so that was all the incentive I needed. The decor honors America and veterans. And they serve delicious comfort food and barbecue. The service was friendly and our waiter was knowledgeable. I tried the chicken fried steak which was bomb, my wife had the "adult grilled cheese" filled with several different cheeses, fresh tomatoes, and bacon. Really goodness! Lucian had the pulled pork sandwich which he enjoyed as well. Please support our local businesses. read more

I ordered the piggy plater with briskit. The beans were good, mac and cheese was just run of the mill but the meat was carved the wrong way and was stringy like corned beef. The metal plater the meal was served on had some sort of paper underneath the food. When you try to cut the meat to eat you end up with soggy paper in the meat. They need another solution for something to put down before the food goes on. My wifes Arizona burger was greasy and looked and tasted like the grill needed to be cleaned. For the we paid for dinner it was just not worth it. Will not be returning. read more

If you're ready for a good burger, pop your head in here. Yes, for you non-meat folks, there are burgers for you, too. Been here a few times and I like the renovations that they made once Dillons left. That company doesn't seem to put a lot of effort into maintaining their facilities. Haymaker cleaned the place up really nicely. Lately, I've been going when it's not too busy and even with that, they always seem to be understaffed where one person is taking care of more tables than they should. In any case, food was good and got comped some burgers for the kitchen mixing up some burger patties. No one died or got sick, so it's all good. Stuff happens and going back to the understaffed statement, they were probably overwhelmed with food orders going on. With all of the special diets and food allergies that others have, things could have been worse and others would have went from zero to sue Karen with the bite Regardless of the limited staff, a pleasant experience was had by all with the yummy burgers. read more

This bar/resteraunt satisfied all my cravings! Started with a margarita on the rocks with salt for me and a rum/coke for hubby. Then I ordered the French dip with sweet potato fries as side. It was SO flavorful I didn't even need AuJus. It came toasted topped with caramelized mushrooms and onions. Delish! Hubby had the Monterey chicken Sammy with Onion rings. They tasted like Vidalia onions, yum. The sandwich had chicken, ham, bacon and avocado with lettuce, tomato and sriracha Mayo. Yum. Very good. OMG! Jareth was our server and she knocked it out of the park. We had an enormous wedge salad that put any local brewhouse wedge to shame! We split the patty melt sandwich which came with frings (1/2 onion ring and 1/2 fries), which was perfectly cooked! Then we shared donut holes for desert even though they had some great looking other deserts. It all went down very nicely. Of course a flight of bubbles and a Blantons ole fashioned helped a lil! read more

4pm Saturday. This is what $7.50 gets you for onion rings. 7 onion rings. Frozen deep fried onion rings. I ordered a cheeseburger. The waitress asked what kind of cheese I wanted. That's what I got. A burger with only cheese. Nothing on the side. No questions about what else I wanted on it. Strange. Empty ketchup bottle on our table. As we arrived and parked I noticed there were 5 employees hanging out on the side of the building sitting on milk crates drinking beers. Not sure what that was about, especially at this time. The feels like a poorly managed restaurant. Inexperienced waitress. Just lower class than we expected. Towny and not in an endearing way. Kind of in a ghetto way. Food was decent. Service and ambiance not so much. read more

This is my second time coming here within a week and the food was just as amazing this time as it was the last. I ordered the southern pork benedict again. As stated in my previous review I'm a big eater and I can get 2-3 meals out of this. My wife and I had our first ever visit to the Haymaker Thunderbird restaurant on Thursday April 1, and that is no April Fool joke. My goodness, this place is awesome!!! We were greeted warmly, and seated quickly. Briana got our drink order started almost immediately, and Miranda was our server for the remainder of our meal. Miranda was very kind, knowledgeable, and professional. I ordered the Arizona Omelette with hash browns and biscuit and gravy, and my wife ordered a Western Omelette with crunchy potatoes and plain biscuit. Instead of mushrooms, my wife was able to substitute green chilis at no charge. The plates arrived in a timely manner, and the fare was spot-on DELICIOUS!!!! It was so good, we will be back many times over we are certain. Miranda cashed us out and after paying offered to set us up with a to-go drink. She is absolutely great, her and her co-workers are certainly assets to their field. Thank you!!! read more

Food is great, but, sorry I have to say, the acoustics stink. We were at 5 tables today, before we found one where we could understand our own conversation. Was there for a Board meeting once. Even the private room was so loud, those of us stuck on the east side of the room could not follow the meeting. Was there for another Board meeting a few years ago (before it was remodeled) & had no problem hearing! You have lost us, unless you can find a way to calm down the excessive voice echoing. I've even identified a few, easy options! read more

Haymaker is an All-American themed dining establishment. I came here for breakfast as I seen Haymaker was a new breakfast spot! The mimosa here wasn't the greatest and was only filled half way. I've only seen that happen when you are getting mimosa flights but that wasn't the case here. I ordered an omelette and it was your typical omelette. It came with a side of potatoes or hash browns and toast. Service was alright. Price is kind of high for quality of food. read more

Really wanted to love the food here as many photos and reviews were very favorable. I must say the restaurant industry is on the down slide as quality and quantity is definitely decreasing. Haymaker is also falling into that category too. As you can see my patty melt was mostly toasted bread with a smaller than expected hamburger patty, grilled onions and cheese. Even the portion of sweet potato fries was smaller than expected by comparison to other photos I have seen here on Yelp. The fried pickle appetizer was okay but kinda hard to screw up pickles deep fried in a better coating. The decor was a little offbeat like trying to be modern with a rustic feel but very plain and not cozy. Lastly maybe different music variety in the background at a lower decibel would be nice. read more

Craving fried chicken for some reason and I see they have chicken and waffles on the menu, so... The chicken was decent. The waffle was a bit dry, but some extra butter and syrup softened it up nicely. The meatloaf was very good, if also a bit dry. They need to work on some brown gravy for the meatloaf and mashed potatoes. It would be nice if they offered some other vegetable sides besides broccoli. The broccoli was a tad overcooked, but not terrible. Lots of other interesting looking items on the menu, so I look forward to reviewing them soon. read more

Omg can't wait to come back! First time eating here today and it was amazing. Very fast and nice service, AMAZING food and not too expensive. The decor is nice too. Only reason for 4 stars is because they don't have the specialty lattes yet, I tried to order a chai latte and was told they don't have the machine yet, which is totally fine. The restaurant is still fairly new. Someone had made a review saying the food is 'denny's quality'. That is not true AT ALL. Everything seems so homemade and fresh, which is not Denny's. The hash browns are crunchy and seasoned, amazing texture and taste. At Denny's, wet and bland. Crazy comment. read more

I love(d) Haymaker, especially their "Famous" Pulled Pork sandwich. I've been a regular since it opened (I do miss Dillon's). Here's why I walked out today. My brother-in-law and I walked in around 1:30pm for lunch. Wasn't busy at all, maybe 3 other tables. After sitting for 15 minutes no one came to our table. The hostess walked by and I asked her if we had a server and we'd like 2 glasses of water. She walked into the kitchen and as she walked by our table back to the front (no water), she said someone would be right out. In the next 10 minutes, 2 servers walked out of the kitchen and neither came to our table. Apparently, we must have been invisible or not important enough to have lunch at Haymakers. We walked out at 2:00pm. Just so you know, Texas Roadhouse also has a great Pulled Pork sandwich and I'll be eating theirs from now on. read more

We will probably be back. We went in for an early dinner on 10/17. The ambience leaves much to be desired in our opinion. But who really cares when the food absolutely makes up for it. Our waitress was Nikki. She was efficient, didn't stop by the table too often but also didn't abandon us. She kept our drinks refilled and our orders came correct. She asked if we needed anything else after giving us our food, we asked for extra ranch and tartar and we only had to ask once. So important to me in a server. Husband said his patty melt was outstanding. I had the fish and chips which were also sooo good. My kids had some breakfast items with included the biscuits and gravy, also pretty good and a GIGANTIC serving. Fried zucchini was delicious! I think some low volume music would help a lot in the dining area to drown out the conversations around you. read more
