So glad we found this place! Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and found tons of fun beer options on tap and a super friendly bartender. I tried a local IPA that I'd never heard of and it was fantastic. They had a few options in the cooler as well, but I was mainly impressed with the variety of taps no matter what type of beer you're thirsty for. Some taprooms tend to focus on a specified type of beer but Tap Savvy clearly is aiming to meet all interests. Definitely will be back! read more

Husband and I recently tried this little hole in the wall. Service wasn't great and not much variety for Non IPA or sour beer drinkers, so we only had one beer then left. The honey Hefeweizen was what I had and it was really good. From overhearing the bartender talk to other patrons (sounded like they were regulars), it sounded like the bartenders the daughter of the owners. So definitely a place to try for local craft beers. Went here for a happy hour with a friend. Her recommendation. It's located in an Albertsons Shopping plaza. Overall space was smaller than I would've expected but the outside makes up for it. Plenty of bar seating and High top tables. They offer friendly games like Jenga,, connect four, chess/checkers,etc. beers are sold by ounces. Either 5 oz or 10oz. I'm not a beer connoisseur do none if the menu made sense to me. The bartender was helpful in explaining the different beers and made a suggestion based on what I'm used to. My husband and I were visiting Arizona and we love going to local breweries and pubs to sample local beers. We are so happy that we were able to make time and go to Tap Savvy. We went on an early Friday night and they place wasn't too crowded yet. The staff was super sweet and patient and even the people grabbing beers there were really nice too. Maybe its an Arizona thing, but everyone was so darn nice. We LOVED the beer selection! So many local options for us to choose from. We ended up getting a flight eat to sample a few things and then we ended up ordering some beers to take home with us. Everything was great, from the relaxing atmosphere to the fun music. Small bar in a strip mall. With all the possibilities to go BIG. Their selection is just right of beer on tap. Yummy with plenty of options. Music in the background tonight was rock. It's Loud with the locals right in your ear having fun, so if you want a chill time it might be on a different night. They also have a good wine selection. And an assortment of bar food and bar snacks. We will come back on a more quiet night and have a chance to try more of the taps. So far, we're fans!!! CHEERS!! UPDATE: Stayed longer than we thought. The bar is in a nondescript strip mall and I actually missed it a few times before. The owner Phillip has taken an interesting approach to the product he chooses to stock. He has refused to carry mainstream beer. He has chosen each beer based on being limited in offering or he has great feedback on a specific beer so bought up all the supply on it. Lived in the area since 2006 off and on and this area NEVER had a tap house so we finely tried it when we were in the area one Friday night. First when we dove by I thought it was closed since it was super dark outside and shocked to see it was kind of busy inside! Took us 20 min to get a drink which seemed way to long for a local Tap house but we stayed and glad we did the beers were fresh and COLD and clean glasses and chill vibe. The inside very simple nothing crazy for decoration and clean restroom. A few decoration and maybe some TV's will help. We will be back for sure when in the area just hope faster service and maybe better greeting to get our order in fast. read more

If you just want a quick drink, then Tap Savvy is a good option. First time there to meet a friend for lunch. They lacked a welcoming customer service feel and no one came to take our order. So we went to the bar to place our order. They have a food menu, unfortunately they didn't have food on hand to make items that were on their menu. They did send out to get bread and chicken to make our order, however that delayed having lunch there. Luckily my friend and I we're not on a tight schedule, so it all worked out. I've posted the below review as somebody who is easy going, willing to spend money, and a beer connoisseur. Not only that I've worked in the service industry for years from Wendy's to high end dining, and I've worked for a craft beer bar in a mountain tourist town. I've been drinking craft beer for eight years and have traveled. I am shocked by the response i received from the owner. It's rude and the farthest thing from customer service I've experienced. Very condensing and highly unprofessional. That will be posted below as well so you can all see how this business operates. For the record we paid 75 dollars for two flights and two beers. That is insane. We went for trivia which was not a great experience. The trivia host you couldn't understand at all and she even didn't understand a lot of the questions and topics. She had zero personality. The service was poor, she was chatting to friends or colleagues at the end of the bar most the night and we waited half an hour at one point to be served a beer. If she was busy we get that but zero friendliness or customer service. (Which i now have been advised is their best employee-shocking) The beer selection was basic at best and over priced. If you are a craft beer drinker it's not great. I would not recommend this to anyone to be honest. Shocked that the rating was so high because I'm really easy going. No desire to go back here. Really awesome place and always has new and unique beers on tap and in the fridge for takeout. Owners are usually around and friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable and pours generous. New outdoor patio lets you hang out during nice weather and is even dog friendly. You can also bring your own food in and eat here. Several restaurants nearby to do take out. Oh how I love this concept. Great variety of local beers. Found some we really like. Nice couple who own it are behind the bar. Used to be a pizza joint. Long counter and four tables for four. Super friendly and nice local vibe. More than a little noisy when only half full. Music from big speaker a bit loud. Dropped a star because the chairs are horribly uncomfortable. Metal stools with no backs or metal with wood seat stools at bar. Please consider getting more comfy chairs! No food yet but can bring some in. They are working on having some paninis and such. I plan to come back for Super Bowl tomorrow as they said they'd have music off and TVs on to the game with a sound. Four TVs oomph now. No sound. Two have the menu which is strange given they haNd you one. I definite will tell others and be back for more. Love it. Ok, i have to update this to a five stars, if I can figure out how to do so. We've wanted to try this place after seeing their billboard on Indian School and 99th Ave. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the beer selection was awesome with some beers we haven't heard of or drank before so we will definitely go back in the future. I do have one complaint that others should be aware of. Most brew pubs, chain or individually owned, offer customers a beer flight which gives you an opportunity to try something and see if you would enjoy a pint of it. Having said that. The Yard House, for instance offers several different flights and their cost is $10.75 or $13.00 for a "6 pack flight" where as Tap Savvy doesn't show this cost and a 5 ounce-4 beer flight ended up costing us $19.50. Honestly. I was pretty disappointed by this. The flight was nearly as much as the other three beers we drank, which made our bill a lot higher then was expected. Again, we will most likely return but just want others to be aware of the unsuspecting cost of a beer flight. read more
