    Poorly coated. Really greasy.

Decided to finally give this place a try with a friend for dinner on a Thursday night. I made 6:30 reservations but didn't need to, cause it was a ghost town. Our server was super nice and attentive. We got sat outside at a table that had nothing on it. Bus person dropped off a stack of plates, napkins and utensils and we set up own table. You'd think with the high price tag$$ here that they'd bus the tables? Anyway, ordered extra dirty martini. Bartender served me just straight somewhat cool vodka in a martini glass with olives. Sent it back and asked for more olive juice and vermouth. Drink came back practically untouched. Server mentioned changing it again cause bartender was busy... again: wasn't busy. Not super impressed with charcuterie board we ordered. Basic offering... overall: meh. Prob won't be back. There are lots of other places in this little complex to try.

I had the opportunity to check this place out for lunch with some new work buddies and it was absolutely amazing! This place is very nicely decorated and has some fancy grub and cocktails in a classy and upscale style location. The server was good at recommending dishes and cocktails. We had some shishito peppers that were my favorite along with some of their bacon wrapped dates and deviled eggs. I had tried their old fashioned and also their sweet tea which were both very great drinks. For my main entree I tried their blackened fish tacos and the I must say the pickled onions on these were perfect to balance out the flavors of the tacos with the chipotle salsa. My friends had some dishes that looked very good as well. Looking forward to checking it out for date night with the wife again soon.

Saturday lunch in our neighborhood. The atmosphere is very nice, cozy and welcoming. It almost has an old 20-30s era vibe. We were greeted by the friendly bartender who quickly sat us at the bar. She gave her recommendations on cocktails and she did a great job making them, they were delicious! My only complaint they needed just a tad more alcohol. The food menu is easy and light but offering so many delicious sounding plates. We decided on two lunch meals and two appetizers. We licked our plates clean. They offer several different weekday happy hour and dinner specials as well as weekend brunch. I'll return for a brunch date very soon!

I was looking for a different dinner spot in a different area for dinner and came across Copper & Sage. I ordered the C&S Julep cocktail to start off with and the drink was extremely refreshing. We saw the pimento fried pickles appetizer and immediately had to try it. As we looked over the dinner menu, I saw the hot chicken & beignets and knew this was going to be my dinner. The hot chicken was tossed in hot sauce on top of a zesty bed of coleslaw. The beignets were fried to perfection and drizzled with an apricot pecan sauce. To say this meal was delicious would be an understatement! The food was amazing, the ambiance was beautiful and the service was quick. Amazing spot! We will for sure be back.

Finally, a good eggs benedict in the West Valley!!! They're open for breakfast/brunch at 9 am on the weekends, so I went with a couple of friends and it was good!! I will be back to try out the lunch and happy hour menus!

$9 Tito's for Happy Hour? Yes please! The food is very southern and very good. There's spice to everything but not overwhelming. I had pork belly tacos. There are 3 and packed with pork. They have a thinly sliced pepper, kimchi and a spicy sauce. So good! My friend had chicken and beignet, think chicken and waffles on steroids. The boneless chicken breast had a perfect amount of spice and was huge. 3 sizable beignet's, 2 were brought home. Another friend had a smash burger and fries and said it was very good. My hubs had tagliatelle with sausage and house made pasta. Huge serving and we brought half home. Super cool building, however the afternoon sun glaring through the front window was uncomfortable. The manager said they were getting curtains for those windows. Much needed. Great dining experience!

My brother-in-law had been wanting to try Copper and Sage for sometime, so we decided to try it. Delicious. The staff was warm and welcoming throughout our visit, and the food was very good. My brother-in-law ordered the scallops and risotto, and he raved about them. I ordered the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich, and my sister ordered a hamburger. Everything was great. The atmosphere was modern and welcoming, too. All in all, a wonderful experience.

The place is beautiful and the staff is amazing! This has been our go-to date night spot as they had some great allergy-friendly menu options, so we were pretty disappointed in the menu change. Brussels sprout appetizer is good but the flavors get overwhelming. Burger with gluten free bun was good and the bun held up til the last few bites. Short rib was good and the fries are great. We will keep an eye out for future menu changes.

Well, we walked in on a Tuesday night and were immediately sat. There were 4 of us and it was 545 pm. We were finally greeted by our server at 557(3 minutes before happy hour ended) and we are pretty sure it was only because we were visibly searching for a server and we asked someone to help us. We ordered apps, deviled eggs and shishito peppers. Both were delicious and came out quickly. We enjoyed the food, the blackened fish tacos were delicious (I will definitely have them again) and smash burgers were good as well. Again, service to pay took longer than expected but we think they only had 1 server working. Hoping this gets adjusted as the snow bird volume increases. Nicer scale food and setting. Nice to have more options in the area.

What a beautiful location We were greeted at our table quickly and drinks came pretty quick as well I ordered the Chicken Caprese and it was delicious. I wasn't hungry and I ate the whole thing! My husband ordered the shrimp and grits and said it was "fabulous" There isn't much more to say other than eat here. We will make this a regular spot. The menu is a bit limited but everyone was really happy with their food

We actually followed the owners here after frequenting their previous coffee shop, En Route. When they opened New Penny, supporting them was an easy decision. The café is thoughtfully divided into two distinct spaces: a family-friendly dining area and a lounge-style bar area geared more toward adults. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and inviting. There are house-made dishes, local merchandise, a shaded patio, and plenty of charm throughout. My wife's favorites are the Breakfast Totchos and the Acai Bowl. Personally, I am also a loyal Breakfast Totchos fan. As for drinks, the Copper Coin and the legendary Cowboy Latte are both worth ordering. What truly sets New Penny apart, however, is the people. The owners and staff have created a space that feels inclusive, welcoming, and genuinely connected to the community. Support local businesses. Better yet, support local businesses that are doing things the right way. Get to know the owners. Get to know the staff. Places like New Penny don't just serve food and coffee--they create gathering places. Whether you're meeting a friend, taking a business meeting, enjoying a date, or simply looking for a quiet place to sit by yourself, New Penny delivers. One of my favorite local businesses, and one that my family will continue to support.

A Taste of the Bayou Right Here!…read more Walking into Flavors of Louisiana feels like stepping straight into the heart of the South--where the spices are bold, the portions are generous, and every bite carries a story. From the moment I sat down, the warm hospitality made me feel like family, and the aroma of Cajun spices drifting from the kitchen let me know I was in for something special. The Food The star of the show is undeniably the seafood dishes. The crawfish étouffée was rich and velvety, with layers of flavor that only true Louisiana cooking can capture. The seasoning was spot-on--bold without being overpowering, spicy but balanced. The fried catfish was golden perfection: crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside. And don't get me started on the gumbo--hearty, smoky, and brimming with soul. Every side dish felt like comfort food elevated. The hush puppies were crisp little bites of heaven, and the dirty rice was so flavorful it could have been a meal on its own. The Experience What I loved most was the authenticity. Nothing felt watered down or rushed--it was food made with love, patience, and pride. The staff checked in often, always with a smile, and you could tell they genuinely cared that you enjoyed not just your meal, but your entire experience. Final Thoughts Flavors of Louisiana isn't just a restaurant--it's an experience. It's the kind of place you come to when you want food that warms your soul and reminds you what real flavor is supposed to taste like. If you've never had authentic Cajun or Creole cooking before, this is the perfect place to start. And if you already love Louisiana cuisine, you'll feel right at home. Authentic. Flavorful.
