The restaurant is small inside what seems like a neighborhood club house. The prices are definitely on the pricier side. I ordered an almond martini, it was underwhelming so stick to margaritas. The food was solid, not super generous portions. The service was friendly and consistent.

Brent thank you for a great experience!!!! Everyone here was such a kind soul and took care of us well! Came out to Arizona for a friends trip and came here for a quick Mexican lunch and it was great! Food took a bit to come out but that was totally fine because Brent made sure we got our chips and salsa. We ended up having like 5 baskets of chips so thank you for that! I ordered the Surf and Turf burrito and it was delicious. It was not too heavy and had great flavor. I personally did not use the Chipotle Mayo sauce that comes with it but I bet it would've tasted great. It is a smaller area but makes the place feel cozier and more welcoming. Overall a great experience today!

We had a really great experience here. The ambiance is very inviting and cozy! We tried so many different dishes on the menu and I have to say that the fish tacos were sooooooooooo good!!! The Birria tacos were extremely flavorful as well and so delicious!!! I got the steak fajitas and it's crazy to say but I'm happy they use THICK CUTS of steak! It's actually steak. Now, for dessert we tried all 4 desserts! They were ALL AMAZING! The churro waffles were so crispy and warm with melted gelato on top! The lemon cake was so bright and airy we enjoyed it so much! The creme brûlée was delicious with a hint of cinnamon, my only critique is that it was cold and not warm. The tres leches cheesecake cake was part cheesecake and part fluffy cake! Soooooo good! Honestly everything we had was so enjoyable. The only mishap in our experience and service was that the ceviche tasted like water and had NO FLAVOR. Also, our server was really great just a bit distracted and we had to keep asking for water refills. Such a great place to eat!

Street tacos and rice

Our server was great, the actual food service was slow. The food was ok. I got the taco plate and did 3 different meats-asada, pollo, and barria. The rice had a funky flavor. Cute little place, but better Mexican options out there-just nothing in that area.

Absolutely love this place! The food is amazing! The servers are great and always quick to take care of your needs. It's nice inside and has bar seating. I love coming here for fish tacos and dessert with the wife! Everything I've tried has been pretty much amazing! Worth coming too!!

If you really need a cool down, we recommend the wine slushies. We loved the strawberry sangria slushy but the frase (rose') slushy was good too. The shareable food options and specials were great. We enjoyed a charcuterie board and a flatbread. Others had sandwiches. No disappointment. We are excited we found a neighborhood space we can frequent and meet up with friends, new and old. Everyone else chooses the barstools and hightop tables or the patio. We were only outside once, when my ankle was broken and it was tough to get around. But, I digress. Maybe the cozying adds to the delight of our foodie experience at Sip. We don't drink but they make a lovely Shirley Temple that compliments all that chef-made goodness. Her menu is always shifting and we love the creativity. One of the mainstays, though, is the meatball appetizer. The beef is tender and flavorful and the homemade marinara as complimented by a perfect cheese pull. We'll get that and one other item - a charcuterie board, bread and/or veggies and a dip, or some other interesting app. Sometimes we get a salad, but order dressing on the side because we like it light. As lovely as Sip is, I don't know if people are impractical or enamored enough to drive a half hour up a mountain to enjoy that tiny establishment. So, it feels like a happy place to be around locals. Estrella is growing but not so much that we've ever felt crowded out at Sip. It's homey and warm and a relaxing place to feel at home, on our special couch. Please don't sit at our couch. lol

The bartender was friendly and attentive, and took our order quickly. By the time we arrived they had already sold out of the bone marrow small plate and the tomahawk steak. Totally understandable for the last seating of the night, but those were two of the dishes we were really looking forward to trying. The main reason for 1 less star. It's a cool little spot for drinks and a gourmet bite. The kitchen, bar, and seating area are fairly compact. Even though the kitchen is ventilated, you can still feel a bit of the heat and smoke coming off the grill. We ordered the grilled romaine salad (they do charge a small upcharge if you split plates), along with the bao buns and the wagyu meatballs. Everything was well presented, tasty. Overall, a great option for the west side if you're looking for elevated bar bites and good drinks. My tip: grab an earlier reservation if you can, so you have a better chance at the popular dishes before they sell out.

We seated ourselves at a booth since it wasn't quite busy and that just means more room for our food and drinks to spread out *teehee* The cocktails were amazing my cousin ordered the espresso martini which she loved they make the espresso fresh. I went with a gin cocktail that had coconut flavors something I would never consider with gin but if you read my reviews you know gin is my preferred spirit. It was so good! For two people we ordered three types of empanadas we probably could have gotten away with two flavors and maybe a lighter tapa or desert but really wanted to try the cheese and guava empanada and didn't want that to be a main option in case we didn't like it. Needless to say we really liked all three: picadillo, arroz con pollo and guava and cheese - the picadillo was the favorite however both for the inside flavor and the accompanying dip. Pricing is not bad I'd say the serving and size of the three empanadas for $14 is a great price.

Since then they have removed the plantain chips and still offer mashed plantains...and a very small serving. I ordered a cuban sandwich which was good but I guess I expected it to look more appealing on a plate such as with garnish. Since it was the middle of June it was already hot outside at a cool 105 degrees temperature. We were surprised to see the restaurant had the front door propped completely open letting the hot air into the restaurant. Since this is a small restaurant you really couldn't escape the heat. The heat unfortunately caused us to leave after a short while.
