Okay this spot was such a vibe -- part café, part boutique market energy, and honestly just one of those places you can hang for a while. Bright open space, cute local goods everywhere, and the funniest little gift section that had us literally rolling. It feels casual but still thoughtfully curated, which I loved. Food hit too -- my absolute favorite was the coconut (açaí-inspired) bowl. The texture was divine -- creamy, refreshing, and super satisfying. My friend had the elote avo toast and it looked just as good as my friend said it tasted -- stacked, flavorful, and definitely a standout. Great brunch spot, fun browsing, chill energy -- I'd absolutely swing back when I'm in the area.

My husband and I met a friend here for breakfast and I was thoroughly impressed. I got the chicken and waffle sandwich and my husband got the California burrito. Our friend raved about the green chile burrito and we all loved the hash brown flight. The coffee was a little sweet for my preference but it had great flavor overall. I just know to order a little less sweet next time. The place was busy but efficient. It's seat yourself but there was plenty of options when we were there. It's run really well, plenty of space, and really friendly staff.

We've been here a few times and we really like that they have a variety of different foods to pick from. The service was quick on the day we went. You just walk up to order and they bring out the food to you but you grab your drinks by the counter. The crunch wrap was really good and my boyfriend is obsessed with the cheese curds so we will definitely be back!

Delicious drinks and more! Can't wait to come back to try their sandwiches & other menu items. My mom & I just popped in as we were waiting for my mom's appointment at the Aveda Institute. It's a nice cafe with clean tables, friendly staff & lots of seating. My prickly pear margarita was so refreshing & hit the spot!

I love this place. This is a must-go-to place for brunch. Freshly prepared bakery items, breakfast, lunch, or brunch items are presented in various flavors. Do not forget the drink options, from water to adult beverages and everything in between. Once you order at the counter, find a seat at the bar, patio, tables, or even grab a relaxing leather chair to sit back and enjoy yourself.

What a great place to relax and unwind. They have many homemade syrups and a wide variety of options in food and drinks. If you want a quick muffin they got you! If you want a meal or a bagel with peanut butter they have that too. A little area of merch that's fun and unique. Service was served with a smile and great personality.

This place is pretty spacious and has a lot to offer. I tried out the PB Mazapan latte and it was not my favorite. It was bitter and could not even taste the peanut butter. The cashier was friendly. I will come back again and try something else out. The inside was clean and the music that was playing was nice.

We stopped by for come coffee on Saturday and this place was busy busy. We stood in line and had enough time to look over the menu. We ordered: One Carmelita latte with vanilla cold foam One PB Mazapan latte One chai tea with strawberry cold foam The cashier was friendly. He recommended me the Carmelita latte after I told him I wanted something sweet. The Carmelita ended up being yummy. It was not too sweet and not bitter. The vanilla cold foam made it 1000x better and I'm glad I added it. The chai latte with the added strawberry cold foam was also really good. The only drink that was a let down was the PB Mazapan as it was super bitter and not at all sweet. The inside was clean and good music was being played. I cant wait to be back and try out the pastries and food - everything looked good.

We went after my nephew's graduation graduation. First time visiting despite living pretty close. I had a couple of drinks, coffee, and French toast balls. The food was good. They waiter was nice. We sat at the bar so service was pretty quick. I would go back to try something else. It has a normal coffee bar vibe. It looks like people work out of the location and just hang out to chat. It wasn't busy when we arrived, but it picked up about 10 minutes later.

This is a clean and upbeat breakfast spot that has a home feel to it. Great location and good service went a long way! They also have an area where they sell t shirts and crafts. Indoor and outdoor seating that is spacious and also comfortable. The food was great! We had the French toast bites and potatoes that are tater tot style. We also had the hard fried egg with biscuits and gravy. Recommended to try!

Very cool coffee shop in Avondale. The shop itself is super inviting with a great variety of food, coffee and other options. The folks at the counter were great and definitely steered me in the right direction to the BLVD Burrito. The burrito was tasty with a good balance of eggs, meat and potatoes. Definitely hit this place up for a good coffee, food, vibe.

    California Breakfast Burrito

My partner and I tried New Penny Cafe for the first time recently. Overall it was positive experience and I would like to try them again at some point. This is a counter service restaurant . So if you get "table anxiety" you may want to go when it's less busy on a weekday, or have a member of your party grab a table while the other orders. Luckily we were able to snag a shaded table on the patio. For food we ordered the California Breakfast Burrito, Breakfast Tacos from the $5 menu, and a side of Hashbrowns. The burrito was decent, but it doesn't come with any salsa unless you ask for some on the side. The Breakfast Tacos were extremely dry. There are bottles of hot sauces on the tables which helped, but neither of us were a fan of the tacos. The Hashbrowns were pretty standard, but tasty. They have a really interesting selection of coffee drinks on their menu. We didn't end up ordering anything because we'd already had our morning coffees, but there were several which caught our eye for next time.

My favorite brunch cafe in the valley. Lots of good regular menu options & I also enjoy the rotating pastries. Great drinks too.

Do they have drink specials for Sunday brunch?

I believe so. Seems like they offered a drink special of the day. We felt like their drink prices were very reasonable. Much cheaper than other places.

From out of state. We stopped by for your highly recommended drip house bled coffee. It was amazing. What coffee do you serve and can it be purchased/shipped?

We get our beans from Union Coffee Co. and unfortunately they do not deliver or ship their coffee. But we do sell our beans by the pound :)

Is there places i am able to sit and do work with my laptop for a couple hours?

Yes! I've seen people in there working several times. Not only are there tables and chairs, but there are also some cozy chairs on the "lounge" side.

Do you guys take reservation for a party of 18? Was looking to do a birthday breakfast/lunch on a Friday?

Im not sure if they do, but they are super responsive on Insta. Im sure if you message them there, they'll tell you!

That's okay, we'll partake of their boozy drinks when we visit again. Food: parmesan truffle fries were aah-mazing. I even told Esmerelda they should add a pizza with the garlic aioli. The buffalo mozzarella had a bit of a kick to the sauce; we could have used more toasted bread to dip into it. We ordered the heaven and bianca pizzas. The crust was thinner than normal, which I was happy about, and the flavors of both were delicious. Dessert: despite not finishing the appetizers & pizza (no worries, we thoroughly enjoyed the leftovers!), we opted for a gelato flight. It was divine, and hefty samples. You wouldn't think 4 oz was much, but of gelato, it was plenty. We selected chocolate, strawberry, salted caramel, and mango. If you haven't tried Roma 23, I highly recommend it. Based on the photos online, it looked like the perfect place for our group to gather. I confirmed my reservation through both the email and text reminders. On the day of our reservation, another partner agency happened to be in town and wanted to join us. Since the website wouldn't let me modify the reservation, I called four times after they opened to see if I could add a few more people. Unfortunately, no one ever answered the phone. We decided to arrive early and ask in person. The Service When we arrived, the restaurant was absolutely packed. The hostess told us we were welcome to walk through the bar to see if we could find a table ourselves, but that they were extremely busy and likely wouldn't have anything available. After looking around, we came back and asked if the patio was an option since the misters made it surprisingly comfortable despite the Arizona heat. We were told the patio was for reservations only. When I reminded the hostess that we had a reservation, the explanation suddenly changed to, "We're on an event menu tonight." She handed me the menu while I stood at the host stand, walked away, and never really explained what that meant for our reservation or whether we would actually be seated. When she returned, instead of offering a wait time or another solution, she suggested we try Thirsty Lion down the sidewalk instead. At that point, it became clear that our reservation wasn't going to be honored. Parting Thoughts I completely understand that restaurants get busy, especially during major events. What disappointed me wasn't the crowd--it was having a confirmed reservation, receiving multiple confirmation requests, making several unanswered phone calls beforehand, and ultimately being left without a table or a meaningful explanation.
