    Prosciutto Wrapped Jalapenos

It's a typical sports bar with fantastic food. A new spin on the typical bar food with the prosciutto wrapped jalapeño peppers. The staff was expedient, friendly, and kind. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was laid-back, with a traditional bar at the table and booth seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]TVs were available all around so you could catch up on your favorite team in your favorite sport.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]if you're not a Chicago fan, I recommend not going on game days. Moon Saloon seriously exceeded expectations. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming--greeted immediately and told to sit wherever we liked. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is roomy with a cool bullring bar and TVs absolutely everywhere--perfect for catching every game from every angle.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We popped in during happy hour (Mon-Fri, 3-6pm) and wow, what a score. Started with a $5 Green Tea Shot and no exaggeration--it was the best I've ever had. So good, I had to get a second. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak Sliders with tater tots and holy flavor bomb--these were superb. Juicy, cheesy, served with au jus, and the tots? Perfectly crisp and seasoned with just a hint of spice. Had to ask what they used--it was that good. We also tried the cheeseburger sliders with onion rings. Solid, but the Philly ones stole the show. The rings were crispy perfection and the dipping sauce? Chef's kiss. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is your classic sports bar with friendly staff, great food, good vibes, and a steady hum of happy patrons.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Bonus: the kitchen stays open until 1:45am. Karaoke Thursdays and $5 Fireball Fridays? Count me in. Already planning my next visit.

    Fried chicken sandwich and fries.

After reading the reviews, I was looking forward to having lunch here. The fried chicken sandwich and the french fries sounded terrific. When they came, I thought, oh, cool, sweet potato fries, nope, not sweet potato fries. I think the fries must have been cooked in old oil because they were all dark. They were semi soft and flavorless. The chicken sandwich looked wonderful but it had no flavor as well. Thank goodness it came with ranch dressing. It was the only thing that saved lunch. I was very disappointed. The only positive comment is the lettuce and tomato and onion on the sandwich was fresh.

Southwest burger: pepperjack + guacamole + fried jalapeno + chipotle mayo

Among the chains and other assorted bars along P83, it's refreshing to see a an unpretentious kinda dive in The Moon Saloon. TVs line the walls, country music blasts on the speakers, and standard pub grub is on the menu. I came in after work on a Wednesday for a burger and a beer. The Southwest burger called to me: pepper jack + guac + fried jalapeno + chipotle mayo. Unfortunately, it sounded better in concept: the patty didn't have much seasoning and the fried jalapenos were missing. It wasn't a bad burger, but nothing out of the ordinary. The hand cut fries on the side were crisp, but too salty. Still, not a bad place to unwind

We've driven by so many time and never stopped? I'm now asking myself why. We've been to all other spots near it. I Assumed it was more of a bar than restaurant because from out front it looks so small compared to all the places around it and well it says saloon Ha. Yeah, yeah o should've done by Yelp research. I'll be better; scouts honor. We had a hard time finding somewhere to park. Area is packed, but we finally found one and went inside. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was actually so nice onside. Full bar, booths as well as high tops. Sears were comfy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waitress came over quickly, was so friendly and took our drink order. I was instantly bummed when I was told they carry no sour beers on tap or canned. Next I asked about ciders which is my close second. I was then told they only offer Angry Orchard in a bottle so I settled. Bummer. We ordered a different beer on tap as well and she gave us some time to look over the menu. I knew fairly quick I'd have the Chicago dog. I had been craving one and hadn't had one in forever. I opted for side salad instead of fries. I'm glad I did and I'll explain later. My husband ordered an Italian beef with fries. Our drinks came out soon with some ice water as well. They were fairly busy but we still had our food pretty quick. Everything looked delicious except the fries. At first I thought they were sweet potato fries but nope they just were maybe cooked in old oil? I dont know, but they weren't very good according to my husband. I agree as I tried one. The sandwich, hot dog and salad were delicious. Lettuce crispy, toppings good and my Chicago dog so many toppings. Yum. I asked for another angry orchard and she unfortunately came back to let me know it was the last one. Our server stated not many people order it so they don't carry a huge stock. That stinks for those of us who hate typically beer or expensive mixed drinks. I wish they'd at least add a sour or something on tap because I'd really like to come here more often. I'd come again.

    Pretzel bites and Margarita pizza
    Kyaa S.

Went here the first time with my mom and it was pretty good! The pretzel bites were my favorite! The cheese dip made it as well!! Would absolutely go back just for them! Margarita pizza was nice and fresh as well! Waitress was very nice! I will say our food took a little long which we kinda had a time crunch so was a little frustrating to see people next to us get their food faster then us especially when we did order a appetizer... But overall would go back!

Good food and great service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Chill place to watch a game.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will be back before the end of football season.

Come to Peoria every year for the last seven years. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is AWESOME. Food drinks atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Kelsey is so friendly such a spark fire. Made our experience so amazing. Pizza is ligit . [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great spot for happy hour or watch games.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thank you Kelsey. We will return

Bone-in Wings, Fresh Baked Pretzel Bites, Fries

Went to Moon Weds afternoon (04/23) after checking their menu on line. Haven't been in years and was looking for something different than usual. Thought it was cool they offer 1/2 portion nachos so I went there to try. I wasn't disappointed, for the price, taste was good, size perfect, and that green salsa was pretty awesome. It all was fresh/quality. Wednesdays the wings are 1/2 off and during HH, apps are $2 off so I also ordered wings, pretzel bites, and side of fries. Wings were alright and price best seen in long time, pretzels and grainy mustard were real good, and the fries were fresh. We sat at the bar and service was no different. Daytime bartender was great! She was friendly, knew the menu, and kept busy. I liked everything but I'd come back here just for the fries, not many places in this area do fresh cut.

Well, pack your horses, folks, because the owners have officially transformed this place into a certified jewel in the desert. They are constantly running around, hyper-active for the customers. The service and drinks here are so good it's almost suspicious. The staff operates like a finely tuned, highly caffeinated machine. Here is a breakdown of the local legends making it happen: Shae, Bobby, Madi, Ally,Ali, Jonathan, Red, Nicole, Ryan, Rosa, Chris, gloria, the list goes on. The staff produce immaculate vibes, you want all that then go to a place where the staff works harder than an air conditioner in July, you get your butt to the Red Zone. It's no longer just a place to hide from the sun--it's the crown jewel of the town.

Ugh... it pains me to write this but I have to know what happened here!…read more We moved back to the area in December of last year and tried just about every sports bar in the area and settled on Redzone because of the fantastic food and amazing service... food so good, we swore by it and visited over and over throughout the winter months for brunch, football games, lunches, dinners... you name it! Fast forward to our past two experiences in mid summer and we are questioning what the hell happened?? We dropped in on a Tuesday night after work for a quick bite and a beer only to be met with a very subpar, grizzly and chewy prime rib sandwich (our go to!!!) and a salad in which we were given Dijon mustard instead of the honey we asked for. No big deal, off night... we joked the B squad must have been in to close up early on a quiet night... A couple of weeks later we drop in for a brunch outing with the kids after a swim lesson and the experience was that much worse. We ordered a simple pancakes and eggs for the kids a Benedict and sandwich for us. The place wasn't busy but it took 40+ minutes for the food to arrive only to find pancakes that were barely cooked... literally dough, potatoes that seemed to be a mix of old and new (some severely undercooked and cold) and a veggie Benedict that came out 15 minutes after the rest with a runny and very sour tasting sauce, needless to say we didn't eat each much of it and ended up having to get food elsewhere. Really not sure what to make of it, the reviews suggest a similar Jekyll and Hyde situation where it's a crap shoot as to what you're going to get... it's all well and good being scratch made but if you can't cook the food it doesn't matter. With the price of eating out these days being so high, we will be needing to take our business elsewhere which is really unfortunate as we loved this place. Two stars because the wait staff is amazing and the beer choice is on point!

I was surprised that they only had three of their own brews on tap (there went the 5th star) but there was a large selection of craft brews and our choices were very good. I got the house bratwurst with kraut and it was excellent! Tastiest brat I've had in years. The side of fries was also great - crispy with a light batter coating. There are a lot of pinball machines and signs for tournaments so it probably gets loud in the evenings. I'll certainly be back for lunch.

There's a genuine, laid-back energy here that you just can't fake, and it makes every visit feel like you're hanging out with friends rather than just grabbing a beer. A huge part of that comes from the people. Tiffany, the owner, has clearly built something special here--there's intention behind everything, and it shows. Deidra behind the bar is always attentive, on top of it, and great to talk to--she makes you feel taken care of without ever being over the top. And then there's Kyle...absolute character in the best way. The kind of bartender that brings personality to the place and makes every visit a little more memorable. The beer lineup is outstanding. Their in-house brews are dialed in, and if you know craft beer, you'll appreciate seeing things like Drekker sours on the guest tap list--hard to find and always a hit. And their Trick of the Light IPA from Throne? Absolute standout--crisp, balanced, and dangerously easy to keep going back for another. The food deserves just as much attention. The burgers are legit--juicy, flavorful, and cooked right every time. The sliders are perfect if you want to mix and match or just not commit to one thing, and the onion rings are next level--crispy, golden, and honestly some of the best you'll find anywhere. What really sets this place apart, though, is how unique it is to the area. It's not just another brewery--it's a true community spot. Places like this are rare, and they only stick around if people show up and support them. It does have OTB machines and if you sit by them people will be coming and going non stop. If you look at the reviews, it talks about how long the pizza takes - about 20 minutes because they hand make the dough. It took a long time to get service. It looked like there was one waitress and one bus boy when we got there. When she did bring us our drinks, I asked if I should order my pizza now since I was the only one ordering pizza. I didn't want my food to hold up everyone else's because it will take 20 minutes (minimum) So I did. Pizza came out in 10 minutes and no one else at my table ordered yet because she never came back. I had to look for her as my pizza was getting cold and I didn't want to eat while no one had their food. She came took my pizza and threw it under a heat lamp which kind of made the cheese stiff but with that - it was surprisingly good. Hubby ordered a cheese steak sandwich and liked it. My Daughter ordered the boneless wings and said it was really good (my husband had a couple and agreed) and her hubby had sliders and liked it. It was fun playing the Family Feud game. We did come in third. Like I said, food was good. Service wasn't great. Just not my type of place. It did look like another waitress came in close to us leaving. I did see our waitress grabbing drinks at the bar too so she may have had just too much to do.
