We went back... my first review was when they had recently opened and we were half impressed. Thought we'd wait to let them get more settled. Our friends dined earlier in the week and had a good dinner so we reserved a table and went on over. Excellent! Our server, Franceska, was a sweetheart. She had a lot of tables to juggle, but with her team members and owner, Federico, stopping by to answer my husband's questions about their special wine nights, we felt like we had found a gem in our neighborhood. Mr. Venturini shared how his wife, Viola, was a chef and they are from Gualdo Tadino, Italy. The wine dinner we missed happened to be a winery we visited on our trip the other year. Our experiences in Italy with their pasta and style of recipes has been hard to find back in the states. How exciting to find it here now. We shared a fresh and flavorful Farmer's Market Salad and the my husband had the Shrimp and Linguini Diavolo. The shrimp was sweet and moist and enough for me to steal a few from him. (Only fair since my branzino was so incredible that I think he ate half of the 8 oz filet.) I ordered mine with the Fettuccini Alfredo subbed in instead of the pesto offered. And although soooo full, we still ordered a chocolate lava cake to go with the balance of Cabernet my husband had yet to finish. (Cabernet Sauvignon Erastos) Husband LOVED the dessert and raved about it. A nice touch of hospitality from Federico allowed us to savor the limoncello, an apéritif we grew to love as a special celebration. ( I generally don't drink anything but a little wine and I really enjoy the experience of tiny sips of a good limoncello. )

Grilled shrimp and Calamari

This was a palette cleanse from the worst Italian I ate the day before. Just what the doctor ordered. Seeing the old style open kitchen with the brick oven made me feel homesick for NYC. This place has an amazing variety of wine and spirits and the menu has just as many choices. Started out with fried shrimp and calamari with zucchini chips with a sweet garlic sauce. I do not have the words how yummy this was. The main course was brick oven pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella, ham, sausage, artichoke, olives and mushrooms. The crust was crisp all the way through and the toppings covered the pizza. Again, it was unreal great and you can tell this is true Italian fresh food from the spices to that brick oven perfection. On the side we got a mushroom dish with garlic in wine sauce and I never saw so many varieties of mushrooms and all so good. Finally, for desert, we got a chocolate, strawberry and pistachio spumoni ice cream covered in a dark chocolate shell with sprinkles. You feel like fireworks going off with every bite. Check out the photo I will add for the desert menu. This is a place you can go each time order something different and know it's going to be excellent. It is a little on the pricey side and although we ate in Glendale, they have locations across the valley. If you want some of the best Italian food in the valley, this is a must stop. I forgot to mention the staff and our server were outstanding

Great appetizer spot! We got the goat cheese and charred octopus. The goat cheese was definitely the star of the show. Plus complementary bread and olive oil for the table. As for entrees we had the carbonara and shrimp gnocchi. The carbonara was a bit overpowered by the added spiced sausage, so if you're looking for a tradition carbonara flavor I would pass on this. The gnocchi was good, but it is notable that the shrimp were boiled not sautéed. The pesto was also very creamy and lacked a strong basil flavor. Drinks wise we got espresso martinis and they were a touch disappointing. The espresso was definitely burnt, so flavor was a little off. Overall this was a good Italian spot with lots of options on their menu. Next time I'd definitely try their pizza or calzones.

Alexis is the best, she is so personable, attentive and very positive. She offered some of her favorites. Federico, the owner stopped by our table a couple of times to see how we were doing, very much appreciated and love visiting with him. They make their own pasta and sauce and it is noticeable. Ambiance is Superb Drinks and Wine List-Great Calamari-Excellent Bread was very tasty and freshly baked Bolognese with Wagyu beef and homemade noodles-Fantastic Calzone was over the top tasty and big Chicken Parmesan was the only dish we questioned, Chicken was over breaded and dry. Gelato-Yummy As we departed the young lady at the reception area gave us a tour of the other side of the restaurant, she was so sweet and very knowledgeable, she didn't have to give us a tour but what a nice touch. Customer Service is above and beyond, a compliment to Ownership and Management. We will return to try more entrees and their pizza.

Shame on me! As a Yelper I should have shouted out at the top of my lungs about this place! I'm not sure how much longer until the secret is out! The married owners are from Italy and have brought with them their amazing food! As incredible as the food is the owners are even better! Look for special events every month! Get here before the secret is revealed! You'll thank me later!!!

Pizzicata has been on my radar since they opened up their cave creek location. Their recently opened Glendale location is very nice. Our server Jackie was fantastic. She recommended a pinsa pizza, which we loved. We shared the pizzicata, not overly complicated in flavor but highly recommended. I ordered the parpadelle when I learned most ingredients were made in house. It was delicious . Would come back.

So far so good! Bottega was excellent and now Pizzicata is perfection too. Food was on point, my daughter's clams linguini was so delicious, the pasta tasted home made. I'll be ordering it for myself on our next visit. My son really enjoyed the Gucci pizza, he left no crumbs. The service was speedy and pleasant. Prices are comparable to Bottega. We were celebrating our daughter's bday so she received a complimentary little cannoli desert w candle. We will be back soon and frequently.

Strawberry Nutella Pizza

Really good restaurant, the service was good, ambience is nice, food delicious! I'm a bread lover and their bread is to die for! I love the pizza crust too. I'll be coming back BUT just one little thing I'll be asking for is extra Nutella on my pizza (that part was disappointing). I went there just for the Nutella pizza, usually when I order dessert pizza in other places they add a lot of Nutella (as they should). Overall it's pretty good!!

I consider this poor service now that it's happened twice and I felt the first time we were lied to and it was never addressed. Food can be great but if customer service is bad, it makes the overall experience poor. Very disappointing - as we love the restaurant and we live right in this neighborhood and love supporting our local businesses.
