Our service was very good however the food was not. We had a table of seven. My husband had the pork shank which he enjoyed but two people got the short ribs and they said that they were tasteless. I ordered the scallops (the most expensive thing on the menu) and the scallops were gritty with sand and the ravioli was undercooked and tough. We also ordered two goat cheese brulee appetizers. They were good but there was no brulee to it. All in all it was a very disappointing way to celebrate my birthday. read more

Last Saturday Jan. 31 my wife and I decided to try a restaurant out of our normal area. We heard about Pizzicata and decided to make the drive. We arrived to be greeted by the nicest young ladies. We were a little early for our reservation so we sat at the bar and our table was ready just after ordering drinks. The place was PACKED! We easily could see how hard all the servers, bartenders, and bussers were working so we immediately told our server Gregg not to worry about us as we were in no rush. The man was working his ass off. We ordered an appetizer and listened to the man singing old rat pack songs on the patio which everyone enjoyed. Gregg, our server, was so nice to all of his tables. You would have thought he owned the place with the level of care he was taking with guests. Our appetizer was amazing and when Gregg stopped by to check on us we ordered. Gregg told us the two entrees we chose were very good. THEY WERE! Normally we do not get dessert but we asked Gregg what he suggested. Tiramisu he says. It is the best. I am not a tiramisu guy but we ordered it and WOW! Best ever! And just like that I am a tiramisu guy. We noticed a man who we later found out was the owner mingling and making sure guests were taken care of. You could tell folks really liked him and it was obvious many people have been there before even though they have not been open long. It really was a very nice date night for my wife and I. The employees made it personal and the food was impeccable. Gregg really topped it off. Best professional food server around. WE WILL BE BACK! and we will be requesting Gregg. read more

I honestly didn't want to write this, but after what Pizzaicata has done to this location, it needs to be said. This place replaced Bottega Pizzeria Ristorante, which was a true neighborhood gem real Italian food, consistency, care, and pride in what came out of the kitchen. Pizzaicata took over the space, slapped a new name on it, and somehow managed to erase everything that made this location special. Let's start with the food. I ordered their pizza (Margherita-style) because if a place can't get the most basic Italian pizza right, that already tells you everything. What came out was honestly embarrassing. The crust was dry and stiff, like it had been sitting out too long or reheated poorly. No lightness, no chew, no char just bland, lifeless dough. The sauce tasted overly sweet and artificial, like it came straight from a can with zero balance. The mozzarella? Cheap, rubbery, and barely melted evenly. Nothing about it tasted fresh or cared for. This wasn't "Italian-inspired." This wasn't "modern." This was fast-food quality pizza pretending to be something better. The portions were disappointing for the price, and the flavors were flat across the board. No depth, no seasoning, no soul. It felt rushed and careless, like the goal was to push orders out instead of actually making good food. That's especially frustrating when you remember what used to be here. Service didn't help either Staff seemed disengaged, like they were just going through the motions. No warmth, no pride, no sense that they cared whether customers enjoyed their meal or not. When you're paying restaurant prices, you expect at least a little attention and professionalism not indifference. And the atmosphere? Cold and Empty. It no longer feels like a place you want to sit, talk, and enjoy a meal. Bottega had character. Pizzaicata feels soulless and forgettable. What makes this worse is the missed opportunity. This location already had a reputation for quality Italian food. All Pizzaicata had to do was respect that standard and instead they lowered it dramatically. If you never experienced Bottega, maybe this place feels "okay." But if you did, the difference is painful. Bottom line: - Overpriced - Bland food - Poor execution - Zero authenticity - A downgrade in every possible way I gave one star because Yelp doesn't allow zero. Glendale deserved better than this. I won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for real Italian food or even decent pizza. read more

Great drinks and well prepared pasta and entrees with homemade pastas and flavorful sauces. The only disappointment was the pistachio ricotta cheesecake that was a bit dry and stale. And if you're charging $12 for a dessert, the portion size should be substantial and shareable. read more

Wanted to try the new place that was formerly Bottega. Wow! What a great surprise. Not just a pizza joint , as there are many around here. True Italian menu, everything homemade and couldn't ask for anything more. Popped in for a late lunch our first time here and so happy we did!! Amazing food ambiance and service. Reminds me of how Italian used to be done personal and with flavor. This location is new and it shows. Service was nice but not seasoned. They brought the wrong food to our table twice. Drinks took 15 minutes because the order was not processed in the system. We were never told of specials. My friend ordered a the Pollo salad and asked for no avocado and no Gorgonzola and salad came with both on it. My food was not brought out with my 2 friends dinners, because they bought the wrong order. We had to ask for red pepper and salt and pepper. We didn't get offered grated cheese for our entrees. We will miss Bottega but we're so happy to see that Pizzacata has taken over this location. We went in for lunch and had a great time. We sat at the bar, had the Wagyu meatballs, the sauce was delicious and very authentic. Also ordered one of the spicy pizzas. It was very good with quality toppings. The food is excellent. Authentic Italian. Fresh, nicely presented, and full of flavor. My friend and I each had a pinsa (pizza made with a healthier crust). My friend needs gluten free and there were several options available for her. Our husbands had sandwiches that they enjoyed very much. Our waitress, Patricia, was delightful, very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very cozy without feeling crowded. We will definitely be repeat customers. Had dinner at the Glendale location tonight. It was amazing. We were treated so well from the time we walked through the door till we paid our bill. Amanda was our server and couldn't have asked for better. The food was outstanding as was the service. Highly recommend for an excellent meal. Had dinner here last night with my girlfriend for Valentines day. I don't know if it was because we are both young women or what the case is but you guys unfortunately missed the ball. Upon walking in we were sat down quickly, the place was a vibe because it used to be Bottega and we were ready to see what this place had in store for us because of all the great things I have heard. When we sat down, our waitress didn't bother to ask my girlfriend what she wanted to drink at all only myself and rushed off to get my drink before we could tell her any more. We thankfully got water first thing but other than that we waited for almost a full hour for our appetizer. The other tables around us all got complimentary bread, which we didnt receive at all. When we finally ordered our entree's, 25 minutes had passed by when the waitress comes back and asks me what I ordered again because she might have put in the wrong thing?? Shockingly the table next to us who she sat down way after us got all the things mentioned above in a timely matter while we didn't even receive our food. They were literally finished eating and we had not yet gotten our entrees. Once we received our food my pacherri vittorio was super good I really liked it, but the Fettuccine Alfredo tasted like absolute nothing. Genuinely couldn't taste anything but a little bit of butter barely any cheese or sauce. For 20+ bucks a plate that missed our mark. The cheesy garlic bread was the only other thing we really liked. We were pretty displeased with our experience and decided to grab a to go box to leave. Which was the quickest thing all night. read more
