I've been coming in on and off for a year or so and the only reason I keep coming back is the man who first greeted my husband and I on our first time there. Antonio, He's the busser but seems to help out a lot. He was super helpful and got us drinks while our server came to the table. Over all I would say that about half the time I got pretty bad service (been horribly neglected) however Antonio always manages to get us what we need. Pretty simple review here. Very quick service and decent food. We got seated right away and the food came out pretty fast. I ordered the pancake deluxe and it was an absolute huge portion. I could only finish the meat eggs and one pancake. If you order this, get the small stack unless you really think you can put away three huge pancakes??. This place is all gas and no rest unless you're a VIP regular but even then you might catch the waitress talking about how rude your husband was the last time you came in behind the counter. Our first time in and once we found out we could seat ourselves we had to choose between the booth with the duct tape covering a huge rip or the wobbly table. We went with the wobbly table. Then we had the waiter running back and forth because we would start to talk and then she'd run off before we finished our sentence. She also had to come back and verify with us our order because she wasn't really paying attention when we did talk. We ordered the cinnamon toll ('microwaved), pancakes (dense) and the breakfast burrito (not sure why they called it huge. It was regular sized. Also burnt inside). Wasn't sure how the check out processes went and since there was so much chaos going on we didn't want to wait so we went to the counter to pay. It was then they finally asked how we were doing and if everything was okay. This place seems like it's one of those i'm starving and it's before 11am and breakfast specials $6. read more

This place just screams stereotypical diner, take that as you will timing of service is always unpredictable but the waitresses are always sweet and truly do try to give you their best as they possibly can. We mostly come for the unbeatable $3.75 mimosas! They get the job done haha! Food is also really good, the chicken fried steak and eggs and eggs benny are fire (usually the only things I get!) also can get crazy and loud with large families, crying babies, etc. so beware. Also potential to get over stimulated as the airflow isn't the best in the smaller venue. But as expected on weekends especially! read more

This was my second time at the Moon Valley cafe and I still really like the ambiance of this good solid neighborhood breakfast spot! This time around though my breakfast was below average. I ordered pancakes and eggs. The pancakes although still big and fluffy didn't have a great taste. I was able to find out they actually do have real maple syrup that they of course up charge you for -- and is it really real maple syrup -- if it is, it is the worst quality brand -- but you can't tell because they pour it into these super small take out containers for like ketchup. That is annoying to me and it is not nearly enough syrup for their extra large pancakes. I ordered eggs on the side, scrambled and they were cold. When I told the waitress she didn't say anything. So there is nothing out of the ordinary about this spot except it is close to my house. I might be back but there are so many other places to try at this point. read more

Anahi my waitress was excellent this morning. My first time here, my Dr's office is across the street and she recommended this place for breakfast Chorizo, eggs hash browns and coffee. Simple yet done right, satisfied not stuffed. Good prices and fun atmosphere with the staff and the kool robot buss boy, that's what kicked this little breakfast from 4 to 5 stars for me. This is basically senior citizen crappy food, but at normal prices. I was completely ripped off after purchasing the $13.25 Turkey Club crappy sandwich. It was full of limp lettuce, end pieces of tomato, no cheese, way to much mayo and half toasted bread. Oh yeah, let's not forget the cheapest, slimiyiest brand of turkey on the market. The undercooked onion rings also cost me $1.75 extra and they were limp, greasy and not worth paying extra. Pies looked terrible too and the place was a crowded mess. Also if your the dishwasher guy, stay in the back dude. Time to redevelop this property. read more

Food isn't pretty because it's totally flying out of the kitchen. But Moon Valley cafe has swift, attentive service and a wide enough menu to please everyone, who can order lunch at any time (thank goodness!) Had an awesome cup of chicken & rice soup (soup changes daily, this was a Tuesday). Then my burger and fries came out and it was perfectly cooked med-rare. Shoe string fries were a tasty side. And, then came dessert- the special called for a slice of pie. However a nearby patron had a piping hot cinnamon roll brought to his table and my server graciously allowed me to substitute!
