I love this place. I'm going to autos for over a decade and they never disappoint you. The inside is really very diner-like with license plates and pretty much every place you can think of decorating the walls. The staff are wonderful and very courteous. The best thing about Autos is the portions. You really do get what you pay for as all the sandwiches and breakfast especially are large. I would be absolutely shocked if anyone walked out of that place still hungry. If you're up in the Northwest Valley definitely take this place in for breakfast. The biscuits and cinnamon rolls and eggs and home fries are not to be missed. I just happen to stop in for lunch this day and was very thrilled with the grilled chicken sandwich. Otto's is easy to get too. It's close to the corner of Greenway and 35th Ave. It's easily accessible. Service is prompt and efficacious, then friendly. That tall thin waiter, I'd read about was proactive in meeting our needs. The atmosphere is reminiscent of the little luncheonettes in South Florida. The breakfast foods are delish. His Home Fries are done to a turn. They are cooked just to that perfect point. The coffee they serve is wonderful. Many of the breakfast combinations are unique. The breakfast burrito is served in a tortilla that is tender. The whole of the burrito is better than the sum of it's parts. It was so good. For the past 12 years I've driven past it. I came in to grab a bite and was sat at a table promptly. I noticed there was a questionable smell, but we will get to that later. I was greeted by david, who had quite an attitude might i say....I ordered the pancakes, which he seemed annoyed by my order, but i digress. he barely came to check on us and if he did he was fast and irritated. After his rare check ins, we noticed the smell was from him.....? noticing how awful our experience was, we asked david for the manager and he said he was the manager...? is this how you wanna run your diner, david? i would consider some new management or at least AVOID david! read more

We stopped here for breakfast, as we happened to be in the area and enjoy supporting local business. We were promptly greeted and seated by a friendly young lady who immediately took our drink orders. Shortly after, the server arrived to take our order. His demeanor was stoic which isn't an issue, but probably not the best representation for front house customer interactions. Nonetheless, he was very efficient in taking our order. Our omelette lacked visual appeal but tasted very delicious. Our hash browns were extremely undercooked and flavorless. Our pancakes were hot, fluffy and delicious. This place has great diner style food and I love to come for their omelets, they make them thin and role the goods kinda like an egg crepe. I went there with a friend on a Friday morning at 9am and ordered the biscuits and gravy and they were already out. One would think that they could whip up another batch. They had only been open a few hours and claim to be homemade restaurant. The food I did order was just ok. Please people toast your bread properly. Be weary of this place. It's close to the house so we've been here a few times but we will not be back. Ronnie's Cafe right down the road is much better. Let's start with the place itself. Extremely small and the tables are practically on top of each other. Not that big of a deal. It's also very humid and muggy inside. They must have a swamp cooler instead of A/C. They seat you and someone gets you your drink and menus. Then they leave you sitting forever. Then ONE GUY (probably the owner, Otto) takes your order when he feels like it. The most recent visit we were sat with drinks waiting on him while we watched him seat two ladies next to us, after us. He got their drinks and took their order and still didn't come back. We were waiting over 10 minutes and this is common practice here. The foods ok. They need to work on their customer service. read more

When I asked for a side of crispy bacon they got it perfect, I find most places will just burn whatever you ask to be crispy but not here. A very standard diner with all the things one would expect to see. An old fashioned cash register, typical older style tables / chairs, and a greasy feel in the air. The pancakes are bigger than your head - fair warning! You'll want to share those mammoths with someone if you order them. My fiancee had the corned beef hash which he enjoyed. I think the down side to this location would have to be the service. They seem to be very efficient with getting food on and off the table, but other than that it's not overwhelmingly personable here. It's a busy location so I can forgive the idea of wanting to flip the table quickly to handle the rush(es) for the most part, but ringing up someone's bill without talking to them is a but much. Let me be clear! I have been going to Otto's for years. The food is always great and I have never had a bad meal there. My discontent has multiple facets. My first complaint is that the serving size continues to shrink. For instance, breakfast omelets can be ordered full size or half size. Full size now is about what half size used to be. My second complaint is that even though there are prominent signs on the outside of the building that state that prime rib and eggs are served weekends and holidays, it might be as long as a couple of years that prime rib has not been available. They outsource the cooking of the prime rib and apparently they are having trouble procuring it at a reasonable price. I understand, but last weekend I mentioned that the signs ought to be removed and the server about snapped my head off and said they would just close their doors.? The restaurant is staffed by mostly one tall waiter who, while quick and efficient, is not Mr. Personality. It is really detrimental to the service. The short man is always a little more friendly and cordial, but usually just runs the register. The other staff are fine, but are relegated to bussing tables or other needs. Each time I visit this establishment, I find more reasons to increase the duration between visits. read more

Well I've been a few times now and I am please with the service and price and the food. The omelette come in two sizes. A whole omelette which is six eggs. Or a half omelette which is 3 eggs. When you order a omelette it comes with hash browns and a choice of toast or biscuits and gravy. They have a large selection of omelette's. So for myself I get a whole omelette with Swiss cheese and bacon with hash browns well done and biscuits and gravy and glass of water. read more

They replied with an eyes tolled back, no, but the whole time we were there, it was as if we were imposing on their time. I believe the owner, waited on us. When I ordered it, the server said they were all out and wouldn't have any until Saturday. It was a Tuesday or Wednesday when we went. I checked the menu online before we went, and biscuits and gravy were on it so I was immediately disappointed. We stayed anyway and ate and the food wasn't very impressive. Was really disappointed in this place, I'm usually a fan of small diners and like to support local business but this place leaves allot to be desired. I should have know when the place was damn near empty in the late morning. They are was over priced and nickel and dime you. The place is kinda basic on the inside and your sitting at fold up tables in some parts. I stopped in with my wife and two kids, and our total was 72 dollars... 72 dollars for lunch/breakfest for mediocre food. The food was extremely bland, worse than hospital food bland, and the coleslaw that came with my meals was brown and was not fresh. Was changered over four dollars per drink, my children got a refill on their juice and was charged another 4 dollars for the refill, the waitress never informed us of the extra charge for juice refill. My sandwich had no flavor and the fries are basic crinkle cut French fries from the store that I had to pay an extra dollar on. The wife had a jalapeño burger and it also had no flavor and we paid 2 dollars for a handful of onion rings on a burger that is already over ten bucks. We paid almost twenty dollars for basic drink for four people. I have been to many breakfast lunch places with my family and have never paid over 55 dollars, this place is a joke on what they are charging. I understand the economy is rough but that is no excuse to charge 72 dollars for the trash you are serving to your customers. We will not be coming back, you can get better food and service at a waffle house for thirty dollars cheaper read more
