Cool vibe! def a bit of a throwback. The eggs were cooked perfectly, but the potatoes were undercooked and the bacon was pretty limp. The kids enjoyed the shakes, which was a plus. Our booth was pretty worn down and patched with duct tape, which wasn't a great look. There's also basically no patio bummer cause the weather is perfect in march Overall it was okay, but we typ go to OverEasy next door. Visited this establishment today once again. Loved it so much the first time, I decided to return. Even from the outside, this eating spot is reminiscent of a 50's diner! Great comfy seating and plenty of booths. This is a diner and not necessarily into healthy options and that's why I gave it a 4/5. No gluten free options! I've had the Eggs Benedict Classic and they are delicious. Just the right amount of creaminess and eggs done to perfection. Another delicious breakfast here at Nana's. It's the old five and diner off of southern in the superstition mall you have two jukeboxes great music great food. Some of the food servers have been here between 10 and 15 years. If you don't know what she want. You'll never know you can get a chocolate shake or a malt afterwards. Came here on a Sunday at 11am, there wasn't a wait time to get seated and there were a decent number of people. A few things I'd note was that the food did take 30 minutes to come out, which was longer than we'd like. We also noticed that when people sat in the booth behind us, the back of the chair pushed into us since it's just a standing cushion. Once the food came out though, we ate right away and weren't disappointed with any of our dishes. As you'd expect from a diner, the house fries (warning, they're not the typical stick fries) were great. The hash browns were good too, but they would've been even better if they had a little more crunch to it. We were all so full from our meals. Now, to the part I'm most excited to review: the pancakes were SO FLUFFY!!! It literally melted in your mouth, like eating a cloud. No knife needed to cut through it because the consistency was perfect. It was probably one of the best pancakes I've had. Our server was very nice and we also loved the true retro design inside. This Diner is certainly not going to survive Before going I researched the place and found that it was the top chicken fried steak around suggesting that the steak was fresh cut and breaded and more. I asked when we arrived and was told that NO MORE. They now had to go to frozen prepared portions That said all our food was barely eatable. Frozen veggies cooked ina microwave, dried out liver and onions. And more I will say the server was polite and checked on us regularly. This is such a cute little diner. The staff is super friendly and definitely a place full of regulars. There were lots of hugs between the waitresses and customers when they were walking in. We had 3 people in our group and we all had Liver and Onions. We haven't had it in years and we were talking about our mom's making it so we heard this was the place to go and it was delish. We've been wanting to try this warm and welcoming 1950's diner across from the Superstition Springs Mall and we were both seriously disappointed in the food. The vegetables were microwaved, the mashed potatoes tasted like they were made from the box and I can't honestly describe the meatloaf. My boyfriend had the turkey dinner and it looked simply disappointed as if it was pulled out of the freezer and heated to temperature it was a sad experience when it came to the food. I'm giving this place two stars just on the service our waiter was super personal and kind but service alone isn't going to get us to return. read more

My sister and I decided to try this spot for brunch on a Saturday morning! Coming from LA, we thought this diner would be extremely busy, but it actually wasn't. There were several empty booths and the workers all greeted us warmly. We were sat down and they took our drink order extremely quick- to the point we weren't ready to order. Our food came out and my French toast was so yummy! The house potatoes were also super delicious after I added a bit of salt and some pepper. The location itself is sure and very retro. We've been here before several months ago and decided to come back. We walked in and saw our favorite waitress Val was working. If you like homemade coleslaw you HAVE to come here, my friend asked for for a small sample and ended up ordering two servings to go home after we finished our lunch. She was so impressed. After driving back from Wilcox early this morning, I checked on Yelp and found this diner serving breakfast. This place reminds me of the many Greek diners in NYC and I immediately felt at home. Valerie was an amazing waitress, brought everything I needed and was very sweet and kind to me. I had a veggie omelet with home fries and rye bread. The rye bread was really amazing and everything else was good as expected! I'll definitely come back again to this place as service was very good and welcoming and the food was pleasant. This is the first time I've been here since it used to be an old Five and Diner. The decor hasn't changed a bit, and the menu seems about the same but the foods better. I started with a strawberry shake, which was super rich and yummy. For food I had a cup of chili which was full of flavorful meat and didn't taste like it came from a can. It was a win. Then I had a tuna melt on rye. The sandwich itself was very good but if I had one complaint it's that they skimped on the tuna. I mean they really skimped on the tuna. I would eat here again because overall it was a pretty tasty lunch but I'll try a burger next time I think. read more

First time here ... the reviews online brought me in and the 50s style decor hooks you in which I love ... the food meets the standards and hits the spot..... Now the reason for why I gave this place a star is the realistic treatment of a 50s style restaurant if I was in 1950 by our waitress name Valerie .. she was rude and pushy to us ... we are not white but was very nice to the rest of the patrons which were white... I guess we got a realistic treatment to an era . I hope ownership reads this and makes chances otherwise is going to be a shame for this place and people don't get to check it out because of the service read more
