Well, I went here this morning about 1030 and I found out that 10 o'clock is probably a better hour on a Sunday all the church goers show up about 1015 to 1030 place gets packed pretty fast. I sat at a table and realized that the bar would be a better quicker easier spot to eat and that way I wouldn't take a full table.. took a while to get coffee and ice water but they were pretty busy so I was OK waiting ended up having two pancakes couple bacon couple eggs, coffee great breakfast great service give it a try you'll love it read more

It's always a pleasure to dine at a family-owned restaurant. The space is clean, with well-spaced tables that make for a comfortable experience. The service was friendly and efficient, and the ambiance has the welcoming charm you'd expect from a cozy, family-run café. Our meals were well prepared and served in generous portions. I'll give 1-star. Wild Berry Diner on Main Street in Mesa, AZ Service was not great but okay. Server delivered food and never returned for cold tea or water refill, nor to ask how the food was. The diner itself was dirty - 3 tables weren't cleaned off in the 40 minutes we were there. There were flies and food on the floor. Won't be going back again. We arrived for breakfast and the place was packed. Even so, we were seated within a few minutes. Menus were brought for us to peruse. For a starter we both had a large glass of cranberry juice. $3. Emphasis should be on the word large, as in most places you would get a small glass for the same price. Companion ordered the "Fresh Start", which is a big bowl of oatmeal which comes with cranberries, raisins, walnuts, brown sugar, and milk ($6). Companion was unable to finish it all. For myself, I had the Hawaiian omelet which had ham, bacon, pineapple, and mozzarella cheese. While I must admit I have never before had an omelet with these ingredients, it was delicious and big. I could not finish it all. The coffee was bottomless and the service was excellent. Unlike many other places that serve breakfast, we were made to feel truly at home, with friendly people all around. We will be going back again and again, possibly for lunch next time. This is a new favorite place to eat for us. Sanitation was good and food came out quickly. 5 stars. read more

Been wanting to try this place for some time. Running pre Xmas errands in the area, so stopped by for late breakfast. Wife ordered a senior special, eggs,sausage, and 1/2 a waffle. Waffle crispy, eggs perfect, and delicious fat sausages. I had the chicken fried steak. Came with eggs, hash browns, and a pancake. Eggs were a little overdone. CFS was good, hash browns needed help. i go there occasionally for lunch as they are not open after 2pm. i ordered the spinach pie (it has a greek name and i cant remember how it is spelled). first they were "sold out" for over 2 months before they got the ingrediants. i had to order the turkey dinner with stuffing, mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce. everything except the cranberry sauce was extremely salty! read more

7/18/24 - I cannot say it was a pleasant enough experience for us to take the drive again from So. Phoenix. I knew how far away it was, but had been here before years ago and remember it being very good. Not so this second visit; maybe they have new owners/cooks. I will say that for the price, the portions are very large. Plus it has a cozy country feel to it. But we will not return for a third visit. Longer version: I specifically remember their cinnamon rolls were spectacular. This time, however, it was more dense than I remember, as well as a bit flat -- plus we were finished with our meals before it was ever delivered to our table. We kept trying to catch our server's attention but were unable to do so until we had already packed our meals away in the take-home boxes we brought . I guess when she saw the empty table she figured it was time to return to our table -- at which time we asked about the cinnamon roll. It was not overly crowded but there also did not seem to be too many wait staff in attendance. The biscuits looked like they came from a tube, and were a bit too dry for my tastes. I ordered the Hawaiian omelet and it was a bit lacking in flavor. Maybe I am simply used to Hawaiian pizzas (ha ha!) but I think the omelet needed a bit more flavor to it. read more

Oct 1, 2024 I took my daughter for her 21st birthday to breakfast at Christina's Wildberry Diner. Our first visit there. Food was great and Prices were very reasonable! I ordered the Christina's Skillet ($12) which I Loved. 2 Eggs over Medium, were cooked great, lay atop hashbrowns, spiniach, mushrooms, onions, peppers, tomatoes and cheese and came with toast. I also ordered a Large Cranberry Juice ($3) I was very happy with my meal! My daughter had an Egg plate ($12) Which was 2 Eggs, hashbrowns, toast and 6 Sausages. Both of our meals came with a Cinnamon Berry type Jam, was good but very strong on the cinnamon, a little too strong in my opinion. What a cute spot! It's right in a neighborhood in the same parking as a strip mall so you could miss it. The food is classic diner, serving breakfast and lunch. The service was quick and friendly. I got the pancakes combo with eggs and bacon. Their pancakes are legit! Quite thick and buttery. Also great price for the amount of food you get. Husband and I stopped by here on the way back home from the crazy DT Gilbert farmers market. All the brunch places were not what we wanted, we wanted good 'ol diner food so we left Gilbert's trendy hustle and bustle to find somewhere else. On the way home we discovered this gem! While this place was packed, it was for a reason! The friendliest hostess' greeted us and sat us immediately. Our server was so sweet! While they were super busy, service was still excellent. Husband got the club sandwich, he ate the whole thing and loved it! I ordered 2 eggs over easy with fruit and dry sourdough. While my meal may seem basic, it's amazing how many restaurants mess up my eggs. The fruit was not what I was expecting. Typically you get the typical honeydew and cantaloupe...no melons here!! Giant plump grapes, fresh strawberries and 2 orange slices, I was so happy! Oh and that jam...it's a berry jam that needs to be jarred and sold!! It is so good!! So to sum this up...excellent service, happy atmosphere, inviting, clean restrooms and a bill for two that only came out to $23!! We have a new favorite weekend brunch spot. Loved it!! We've always had a nice breakfast at Christina's but this morning the large bone in ham meal that I ordered was not up to par. The ham portion looked as if the middle part was missing. The photo is how the ham was served, untouched by me. The waitress did look at the ham. I notified the waitress about the ham and she said she would check the kitchen about it. After 20 minutes later the waitress returned and only said that was how the the slab was. Huh??? She didn't seem to care about the look of the ham slice. This was our first time here. We went on a Saturday morning late and they were busy. Fortunately we didn't wait long at all for a table. Barb was our waitress. She gave us exceptional service. She was very friendly and personable. My mom had the biscuits and gravy and really enjoyed them. My wife had the crunchy French toast and she also liked hers very much. AMAZING restaurant. We have been coming here for almost 2 years and they never disappoint. Food is always hot and fresh, Servers are amazing and really hustle. Unfortunately I have to disagree with a lot of these negative reviews because one would think in 2 years I would have had at least one issue. NONE! Our favorite Server is Christina, but they are all good! The owner Christina is awesome too. The only problem is I WISHED THEY WERE CLOSER TO OUR HOUSE!!! BTW, the portions are HUGE! Got got by voice command navigation. And this restaurant is why businesses get sued for having confusingly similar names. "Directions to Wildberries" got me directions to Wild Berry. I was so confused when the menu was nothing like I had seen online. But then I found what I thought I wanted and I was still confused, but whatever, the plates around us look good. Let's order! We should have left. My Crab Benedict was not in fact a Crab Benedict. It was instead a Krab Benedict. Diced sticks of Krab (you know, that cheap pressed seafood product that is fine if you're expecting it, but a terrible surprise if you're not.) I could chalk this up to "I guess I didn't read that description very carefully" but...it was also served to me not even lukewarm. It was cool. Not cold like refrigerated, but cool, like sitting out at room temp for quite some time. Which is confusing, because the service was actually pretty prompt! (Also, notably, our server was friendly and polite- no complaints about her general service.) the server did take it back to be reheated. I figured there was no way a new plate would be made and I was right. The plate originally served me was brought back warmed up with some extra hollandaise covering the spot I had eaten from. Whatever- this isn't a high end establishment no biggie- I didn't really expect a fresh plate. But I did start to feel worried about whether the food would make me sick. Good news it did not. But food temp is important and I'm a fan of food being served fresh at appropriate temps. Ultimately I ate about half my plate before deciding it wasn't worth the calories or eating for a meal I wasn't enjoying at all. Anyways, I was prepared to laugh this whole thing off as my bad with the originally voice command going wrong. But then the billing situation...the server- again she was friendly and polite, apparently closed out the wrong ticket for me. She realized her mistake and came back to ask me to pay a second time for a nearly identical amount- which felt odd- but she assure me a refund had been run on the original transaction. However- both transactions remain as debits on my account and no credit. This was just a frustrating dining experience all around. Maybe if you go here on purpose you'll enjoy it- but I did not. read more
