OK.. Finally decided to give this place a try. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice cute restaurant with cool decor, and friendly staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Note to self, Friday night I guess it's karaoke night. Don't say I didn't warn you . I didn't care to listen to the music while I was eating[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Ordered fried cod fish special and chicken fried steak dinner (since they don't do breakfast). Fried fish was nice and crispy. Came with coleslaw which I thought was pretty good and fries were nothing special just crinkled fries. My chicken fried steak was decent size, nice and crispy. The mash potato and gravy was OK. Gravy could have used more seasoning, I don't ever put salt on my food but I was tempted. But mixed with fried steak balanced it out little bit. I also opted for soup of the day which was Albondiga. Soup was not quite Albondiga but it wasn't too bad. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Over the atmosphere was nice minus random people singing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food was for me just ok, lacked in flavor. I would give this place 3 and half but definitely not 4 worthy for me. I probably won't come here again.

This is my third time visiting O.S.G. and they knock it out of the park every time. Whenever I order corned beef hash, I ask for it well done and crispy. This request is rarely met with satisfaction. Today's offering was perfectly cooked, alongside perfectly cooked over easy eggs and great hash browns! The plate was covered with food and all of it delicious! This defines old school diner, with great, fast service and friendly folks!

This is my second time eating here and that makes me kinda sad because the food is always very good. I don't live right next to this place so I always forget about it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant has a home town diner kinda feel and has friendly service to match.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the country fried steak with homeboy potatoes and added some biscuits and gravy because I'm fat and it makes me happy. The steak was perfectly crisp and tasted just like what you'd get if you asked your good grandmother on your mom's side to make. The homeboy potatoes were thin slices of potato with onions and peppers, they were so good I didn't need to add ketchup on anything. The biscuits were light and fluffy and paired nicely with the sausage gravy. This restaurant is probably underrated an overlooked. I would definitely add this to your regular dining list.

The food is good and the service is great. We had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners today and he was great. Will definitely be back

Amazing all the way around. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It had a welcome home feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was comfortable and the food was excellent[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Didn't have the breakfast buffet but oh my gosh I really wanted to. It all looked delicious. I went with the green Paźole, not a topping was lacking. The waitress was polite and the owner was very friendly. The water was very refreshing and the iced tea was fresh. Everyone was very welcoming. We will be back.

Service was fast and the food came out hot and delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a cute place with a nice vibe to it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff made sure our drinks were never empty and an asked several times if we needed anything. We will definitely be back to try the Sunday breakfast buffet.

Overall I would give this place a 3/5 stars. Huevos rancheros- disappointed it wasn't the traditional salsa bandera (onion, tomato, Jalepeno) but it was good. Different twist with the rib with eggs. The chips were soggy when I got my food. I liked the red onions, it added a little kick to the food on top of what the food offers to begin with. 6/10 Eggs over medium- not too runny how I like it. Velvety, the eggs weren't burnt crispy and was delightful. Meat was umami, savory and tender. Different than what I expected, had a little kick of spice. Beans were dry and bland. Not very impressed. 3/10 Pancakes were okay. A little dry for my taste but they were fluffy. The syrup with it was tasty. 5/10. I enjoyed this restaurant but I think it was a bit pricey for everything we ordered.

We eat at hole in the walls and expensive places. But often we look at each other and choose between Dennys or VI, and are happy! Today, May 16th at VI on Signal Butte - rough start by a waitress who told both of us "I need to know your pie order. NOW." Resturant was not busy. Not at all. It was 4:15 maybe. Slow on a SUNDAY post-winter visitor rush on a late Spring day. Rushed. I pointed to my 3-6pm dinner choice of TURKEY. I showed her. "Just as it comes. She repeated it back to me as she typed in into her handheld computer. Chicken fried steak arrived. And a sausage looking oval patty shape of stuffing. Two long finger prints in it. I wondered if she picked up my loose stuffing as it's normally served here in America, or rather the chef did this to all who request it. I told my husband to look for spit in his food. My hubby? Nicest guy ever. But when he knows I didn't want and could not manage fried beef..but I had fasted 21 hours. I needed sliced fresh high protein meat. Wait another 15 min or eat the mess on my plate? "Just eat the 'steak' I picked the stuffing apart - could not eat more than a thimble. Gummy gluten salty yuck was inedible. The FINGERPRINTS! 2 Fingertips past knuckles imprinted. I left it and hope someone there stopped to think "Why?" Our Waitress tried to make up by suddendly being nice when she walked behind me with a second piece of pie ...to go home. Just 2 minutes from the ALB airport, this spot hits exactly how you need it to hit when you're either coming off a flight or heading into one: easy, classic, no-frills comfort. I went with the corned beef hash + pancakes breakfast, and it delivered that old-school diner energy. The hash was hearty and filling, eggs cooked just right, and the pancakes? Soft, golden, and exactly what you expect--nothing fancy, just solid. But let's be clear... the real reason you come here is the pie. Village Inn doesn't play about their pies, and the banana cream pie is the headline act. Light, creamy, not overly sweet, topped with whipped cream and just enough texture to make every bite feel intentional. For under $20 a pie, it feels like one of those rare "still worth it" moments in today's food scene. Yes--it's a chain.
