I thought I had published my review but, well, oops. Here I am now telling y'all that breakfast was yummy: the Canadian eggs benedict were delicious, and cooked to perfection! The hash browns were good, but I like mine quite crispy (crunchy food and eggs go so well together). Coffee and orange juice all around, and a temptation for pancakes made me taste a good chunk from the plate I thought we were 'sharing'. They were very busy, it was brunch time, with all tables occupied but still smiles were seen on the staff's faces. I hadn't been back here in a long time, but I think Cozy Corner will be on my rotation now See you next time!

I haven't been here in quite a while and it's just as good as I remember. The service is always exceptional, food is DELISH and just a cute brunch spot.

This little hole-in-the-wall Diner is by all means fittingly called the Cozy Corner Café with good reasons. Its cozy, its quaint, its comfortable, its folks are nice, its homey and by all means its tasty. We were there for breakfast and right off the bat I have to say, they put out one of the best grits in town. If you were raised in the South, you know how hard it is to get decent grits in Phoenix. Come and get them here! After getting our orange juices and Coffee, our breakfast consisted of simple dishes of a smooth and silky scrambled eggs, crispy soft hash browns and Grits and my order of perfect eggs over easy, with grits also and a side of ham. Marvelous! Simplicity is at its best, and they do just that. The place smells like breakfast, the folks are great, its clean, and great service - not to mention, great breakfast.

Me and my girlfriend love this little diner so much, any time we can't decide what to have for breakfast we just head to cozy corner. Great omelette, great country fried steak, biscuits, pancakes, burritos, the soup of the day. Everything I've had the pleasure of enjoying here has been perfect and the staff is so nice. Fair prices, delicious food, friendly staff, fun atmosphere, and great times not much more you can ask for!

Cozy Corner's version of hash "browns."

Don't order the hash browns unless you like mashed potatoes. There was not one strand of grated potato that was brown. And there was no seasoning from the kitchen. The seasoning you see in the pic is from the customer. The coloring of the picture was not altered, that's the actual color of the potatoes.

    The restaraunt!

Food is great. Service is speedy and polite. The vibe is a lil "antique-y" but it fits well. Maybe a little cramped for seating on some of the tables but overall a great breakfast spot. Love the hashbrowns and biscuits and gravy!

Tiffany, our server, was fast, efficient and very friendly Also, owner Lou and his manager are happy and welcome everyone with open arms!! I had a Denver Omlette and hashbrowns and my husband had French toast and bacon, all cooked to perfection!! We highly recommend this place and plan to return soon!! Thanks Cozy Corner Cafe for wonderful breakfast and dining experience!!

Fast service, friendly staff and good food from an extensive menu. A trifecta. You may have to wait a bit as it a small place.

Good fast service. Great ambiance, like neighborhood feel. Quiet place, decent prices. Only seems to have room for 4 at each table.

I want to start by saying our server was great, the atmosphere was nice, and our food came out quickly, which we appreciated. We had only taken a couple bites of our meals when my boys needed to use the bathroom. I took them, and intentionally left my purse at the table so it was clear we hadn't left. When we came back, our entire meal had been cleared from the table. It was incredibly frustrating, especially with hungry little kids. The manager came over and apologized and offered to remake the food, but at that point my kids were hungry, upset, and honestly I was too. I just wanted to leave. I asked if they could comp the meal because this was entirely due to their mistake. The manager then said we should still pay 50% of the bill, which was honestly shocking. Paying half for food we barely ate because it was taken by mistake felt completely unreasonable. After I pushed back, they did end up comping the meal. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What made this experience especially disappointing was the manager's lack of empathy and apology--especially as a mom trying to manage dinner with little kids. It turned what started as a pleasant dinner into a very stressful and upsetting experience.

But I can judge simply food or filet a trout or chicken and add a homemade beurre blanc sauce. I like simple red wine but relish a Camus anniversary bottle. We eat at hole in the walls and expensive places. But often we look at each other and choose between Dennys or VI, and are happy! Today, May 16th at VI on Signal Butte - rough start by a waitress who told both of us "I need to know your pie order. NOW." Resturant was not busy. Not at all. It was 4:15 maybe. Slow on a SUNDAY post-winter visitor rush on a late Spring day. Rushed. I pointed to my 3-6pm dinner choice of TURKEY. I showed her. "Just as it comes. She repeated it back to me as she typed in into her handheld computer. Chicken fried steak arrived. And a sausage looking oval patty shape of stuffing. Two long finger prints in it. I wondered if she picked up my loose stuffing as it's normally served here in America, or rather the chef did this to all who request it. I told my husband to look for spit in his food. My hubby? Nicest guy ever. But when he knows I didn't want and could not manage fried beef..but I had fasted 21 hours. I needed sliced fresh high protein meat. Wait another 15 min or eat the mess on my plate? I told her I'd eat it. Truly don't like complaining let alone confrontation with a Russian native with a sharp attitude because of a rough life. My nephew is from there so I GET the trauma. and I though I know I can usually switch my palate. But not for this plate of food. I felt sick looking at it. "Just eat the 'steak' I picked the stuffing apart - could not eat more than a thimble. Gummy gluten salty yuck was inedible. The FINGERPRINTS! 2 Fingertips past knuckles imprinted. I left it and hope someone there stopped to think "Why?" Our Waitress tried to make up by suddendly being nice when she walked behind me with a second piece of pie ...to go home. Thanked me for being agreeable or something. I nodded. I remember this saying if you l oh someone's attention the first three seconds and first three steps you'll spend the next 30 min trying to make them believe you're hiring. It's true. I was too tired this week to be extremely understanding but I'm never rude. I told my hubby let's both let this one go. And I said "But we won't return here." He nodded in agreement. Because I see people come in and sit down I see how tired they are and make quick calls to be able to turn their day around if only for a short time before they return home....to being a caregiver or to grieve a loss. Sad dinner and maybe she had a tough week too. But. But times 3 over.

Just 2 minutes from the ALB airport, this spot hits exactly how you need it to hit when you're either coming off a flight or heading into one: easy, classic, no-frills comfort. I went with the corned beef hash + pancakes breakfast, and it delivered that old-school diner energy. The hash was hearty and filling, eggs cooked just right, and the pancakes? Soft, golden, and exactly what you expect--nothing fancy, just solid. But let's be clear... the real reason you come here is the pie. Village Inn doesn't play about their pies, and the banana cream pie is the headline act. Light, creamy, not overly sweet, topped with whipped cream and just enough texture to make every bite feel intentional. For under $20 a pie, it feels like one of those rare "still worth it" moments in today's food scene. Yes--it's a chain. But this location in Albuquerque shows up like it understands the assignment: quick service, consistent quality, and that nostalgic diner comfort that doesn't try too hard. DISCOVERY SCORE: * Food: * Service: * Value: * Must-Try Factor (Banana Cream Pie): Would I come back? For the pie alone? Absolutely.
