Honestly if you're looking for an all day nostalgic feeling breakfast spot then you got it right here. We walked in and got seated and right away the small diner feeling was there. We ordered the country breakfast and 5 star breakfast and it was a good amount of food. The pancakes were yummy and had a good flavor as well as the French toast. I think I'd get the pancakes next time. The server was so friendly and on top of it! Overall a great experience.

Thought we would try an old timey cafe but was a little disappointed. We tried the burgers and some sandwiches. We also had a slice of lemon cake and peach pie and sadly the only thing that was super good was the peach pie. Everything else was subpar at best. The place seemed a little dirty as in chairs need cleaned better. The service needs some work. Multiple times did they mess up our order or forget some of our food. For basic food that could've been purchased anywhere else it wasn't good enough for the 85$ bill.

I gotta say that this place should have a standard portion weight and they obviously don't Your not getting near what you pay for here And it's sad cause this is a place is mostly frequented by elderly so they think they can skimp on the food portions pretty sad that they are taking advantage of consumers. This was the portion of potatoes before I even touched them literally this might be 3 bites of potatoes very thin layers and super crispy and hard parts I tried this place a while back and d coded to give it another try to see if it was just a off day with portions but nope same crappy portion Get it together and quit ripping off customers even if they are elderly and can't eat a lot it doesn't make it right!!!

A cozy little spot to have breakfast with your family! It's got a very small town feel even in the middle of Mesa. Service was polite, and the food was pretty good. The omelette could have had a bit more seasoning, but the texture was great! My husband requested over medium eggs and said he's never had a restaurant do them as perfectly as they did here.

    A bit of everything.

We ate here and it was delicious, I especially liked the Beer battered Cod. The Baked potato was delicious with lots of butter and sour cream. Desert was good to seal the end of the meal. I'll return again, Debbie and her son Matt delivered well.

Steak was tough and over cooked. Roast beef open face sandwich was just not good. The waitress was very nice.

I'd been meaning to try this location after seeing a few of my fellow Yelper friends review this place. Just like they said, this place did not disappoint! Serving up quality diner food with friendly service, classic hits, and blast from the past decor. What We Ordered: - Steak & Eggs: Under $20?! Count me in! Seasoned well and cooked perfectly to order for both the over easy eggs and medium rare steak. Breakfast perfection! - Patty Melt: My boyfriend said it was delicious, and the small bite I tried was great. You can tell they season their burger patties. Honestly, we both left very impressed as all the food was seasoned well and cooked beautifully. Who says diner food can't be done well?! Nana Dee's has set the standard for diner food!

Delicious and plentiful food, recommended by Valerie - difficult to get out of our seats to close out and get back on the road, truth be told. I had the burrito special (ginormous and the salsa on the side with hash browns was excellent); my two colleagues had Ultimate Lumberjacks that did not disappoint. Lovely, well-kept and bright American Diner experience with vibrant decor to keep your eyes busy while you have a short wait for your food. Valerie was there every step of the way to ensure our needs were met and our questions were answered. First Class experience - thank you

We arrived for breakfast and the place was packed. Even so, we were seated within a few minutes. Menus were brought for us to peruse. For a starter we both had a large glass of cranberry juice. $3. Emphasis should be on the word large, as in most places you would get a small glass for the same price. Companion ordered the "Fresh Start", which is a big bowl of oatmeal which comes with cranberries, raisins, walnuts, brown sugar, and milk ($6). Companion was unable to finish it all. For myself, I had the Hawaiian omelet which had ham, bacon, pineapple, and mozzarella cheese. While I must admit I have never before had an omelet with these ingredients, it was delicious and big. I could not finish it all. The coffee was bottomless and the service was excellent. Unlike many other places that serve breakfast, we were made to feel truly at home, with friendly people all around. We will be going back again and again, possibly for lunch next time. This is a new favorite place to eat for us. Sanitation was good and food came out quickly. 5 stars.

But I can judge simply food or filet a trout or chicken and add a homemade beurre blanc sauce. I like simple red wine but relish a Camus anniversary bottle. We eat at hole in the walls and expensive places. But often we look at each other and choose between Dennys or VI, and are happy! Today, May 16th at VI on Signal Butte - rough start by a waitress who told both of us "I need to know your pie order. NOW." Resturant was not busy. Not at all. It was 4:15 maybe. Slow on a SUNDAY post-winter visitor rush on a late Spring day. Rushed. I pointed to my 3-6pm dinner choice of TURKEY. I showed her. "Just as it comes. She repeated it back to me as she typed in into her handheld computer. Chicken fried steak arrived. And a sausage looking oval patty shape of stuffing. Two long finger prints in it. I wondered if she picked up my loose stuffing as it's normally served here in America, or rather the chef did this to all who request it. I told my husband to look for spit in his food. My hubby? Nicest guy ever. But when he knows I didn't want and could not manage fried beef..but I had fasted 21 hours. I needed sliced fresh high protein meat. Wait another 15 min or eat the mess on my plate? I told her I'd eat it. Truly don't like complaining let alone confrontation with a Russian native with a sharp attitude because of a rough life. My nephew is from there so I GET the trauma. and I though I know I can usually switch my palate. But not for this plate of food. I felt sick looking at it. "Just eat the 'steak' I picked the stuffing apart - could not eat more than a thimble. Gummy gluten salty yuck was inedible. The FINGERPRINTS! 2 Fingertips past knuckles imprinted. I left it and hope someone there stopped to think "Why?" Our Waitress tried to make up by suddendly being nice when she walked behind me with a second piece of pie ...to go home. Thanked me for being agreeable or something. I nodded. I remember this saying if you l oh someone's attention the first three seconds and first three steps you'll spend the next 30 min trying to make them believe you're hiring. It's true. I was too tired this week to be extremely understanding but I'm never rude. I told my hubby let's both let this one go. And I said "But we won't return here." He nodded in agreement. Because I see people come in and sit down I see how tired they are and make quick calls to be able to turn their day around if only for a short time before they return home....to being a caregiver or to grieve a loss. Sad dinner and maybe she had a tough week too. But. But times 3 over.
