I am so sad to have to write this review. I used to go here about 5-6 years ago. It was a great spot near my home at the time that served a home cooked breakfast. It had a cozy atmosphere and great service. I appreciated the drive thru at the time too. So when my friend was in town, I decided to head over here thinking it would just be the same as a remember. Boy was I wrong. The exterior looks the same except they added some new signage. Upon entering the restaurant I was shocked at how everything changed. It went from a country type atmosphere to a stale almost Asian kitchen? I was nervous because I wanted biscuits and gravy and this place looked like I would have to order dumplings instead. I did see a sign inside that still said "Biscuits".... So even though we were apprehensive, I still decided to sit to eat because I remembered how good their biscuits and gravy were. If you have been here, you would know the interior walls are circular not straight, so the new tables they had connected to the walls made it so the seats were angled which made you super close to the table at one end and then far from the table closer to the wall. Not comfortable at all. We were greeted by a very nice server and I proceeded to ask her what happened to this place?! And in the kindest way she stated about 9 months ago it's under new ownership and that they will eventually be turning it into like an Asian fusion at night offering Asian food at that time. In my honest (business minded) opinion, this was the worse choice anyone could have done with this place. They are removing the exact things that people liked to come here for (food/recipes/decor/concept). If they have new ownership and want to change it to an Asian fusion restaurant, they need a new name, new branding... all of it. If the owners are reading this, you need to research the following terms: Brand Promise (and breaking it), Brand Equity and Brand Harvesting (or milking the brand). Once you understand these marketing concepts you'll understand your brand and marketing will need a complete overhaul and refresh. This place will unfortunately struggle to survive until these changes are made. Back to my review. I ordered my favorite biscuits and gravy as that's what I wanted to come here for. They have completely changed the recipe of their gravy. It was bland and almost just tasted like thickened water. I couldn't even eat one bite. Home fries/country potatoes were okay and eggs were okay. Bacon was hard in some spots where I had to pull it out of my mouth because I couldn't chew it. My friend got a breakfast sandwich and said it was just "okay nothing to run home about" and "you can't really mess up a breakfast sandwich". The (who I think was) owner came to take our plates and he saw my plate just about full and he offered for a to go container and I said no thank you I couldn't even eat it I don't like it. He said "oh..." the server came and said did you want a discount? I'm like who asks that? Of course? It should just be offered? But I responded well sure of course... so she came back and there was a $2 discount. I laughed. I 100% won't be coming back. I miss the old owners. I miss the old recipes. I miss the biscuits and gravy. I miss the old atmosphere. But unfortunately I will be making the extra drive and going to my favorite Crackers & Co. I hope the new owners take into consideration what my review has said. Either go all in on biscuits and cut the Asian fusion, hire an chef that make authentic gravy similar to how it was made before or cut out the country breakfast all together and get a full rebrand and dive into Asian fusion. We don't have very many Asian fusion places so if you do pivot, I think that's where your sweet spot would be. read more

We have been wanting to try The Biscuit House out for a while and finally did! Sunday at 11:00 we got right in! As we walked in I noticed how cute it's decorated, farm style! Pretty clean in side, we were seated and order was taken pretty quickly, it did take a little while before we got our food and my sons " burger" was made with cheese even though he asked and double checked that she got just a burger no cheese! Well his came out with cheese " cook didn't look at the no cheese on ticket!" He had to wait for his to get remade but she was so kind about it! 3 of us ordered the Hangover Burger over medium egg and fries Then a chorizo hash. The burgers were huge and cooked perfectly! Don't eat here. This place used to be great, not sure what has happened in the last year or so but the menu has changed, and the quality has changed. The one server, Natalie, was great. Very kind and hard working, but she was the only one working in the front. I initially ordered the chicken fried steak but was told 15 minutes after ordering they didn't have it but could do the same with chicken. Wife ordered barbacoa chilaquiles. My order was bland and dry, country gravy was transparent. Wives chilaquiles initially came out as a Skillet with no tortillas. Waters glasses tasted like bleach. It's a little more pricey than say if you went to Dennys, but the service I think was better than what you get at a Dennys. Their grits were spot on, and my French toast was good as well. The gravy for the Biscuits was a little bland (I prefer a "Bob Evan's" style sausage gravy, but I ate it all the same because it's BISCUITS & GRAVY!! It has the look and feel of an 80's diner, and for going on a Sunday afternoon there really wasn't a wait, so that's always a plus! Our server was attentive and quick with drink refills, so that's always nice and they take debit cards right at the table (I really like that). This is one biscuit smothered in sausage gravy, with 2 eggs any way I chose scrambled, your choice of sausage ,bacon, or ham, I chose sausage, and country potatoes or hashbrowns I chose the country potatoes. The order was out quickly. The biscuit was light and flaky, and the gravy was thick and tasty, loaded with chunks of sausage. The eggs were cooked perfectly. It's hard to get scrambled eggs wrong. The country potatoes were soft and tender, fried with onions and green peppers. They were hiding under 2 large sausage patties. The sausage was seasoned perfectly, not too salty, as some tend to be. We gave this place a shot for the first time today. I will say it was not terrible. It was Saturday morning around 11 and it wasn't too busy, service was a little slower than I would've expected but it was fine. I ordered a vegetarian omelette with sausage added, I did not know the sausage would be an extra 3.50. I had a side of grits and sourdough toast. My food was not terrible. It wasn't anything I would go back for, but it was not terrible like some of the other reviews that I read. I have to say that I was really shocked when I asked if I could have a side of salsa to put on my omelette, and I was told that it would be. 3.50! That was outrageous to me. If that was probably my biggest complaints of the entire visit. My boyfriend had Stellas scramble, and he said that it was OK. Nothing remarkable, but it was OK. He ate it. He also agreed that it's probably not anything that we will go back four. I will say the ambience was wonderful, it's a very cute little place and the people who work there are very pleasant. Our server was Michelle, and I think she checked on us twice while we were there. Which is OK to me because I don't like a server nagging me. But when I did ask her for salsa, she quickly barked at me that it was 3.50. I almost felt like she might've been put out if she had to go get me salsa. It was kind of weird. We used to eat here more frequently but it had gone down hill so we stopped. We came by today to give them another chance and while the server was really nice and we were seated quickly the food was terrible!! The grits were very soupy and spilled all over the plate. The eggs were undercooked while the biscuit was nearly burnt. The portions are a good size but that isn't helpful when the food is not edible. My son even got sausage that was still raw in the middle. While the people who work here really are nice even they can't make up for how bad the food is. After driving by this place many times, my husband and I finally decided to stop in and give it a try. Upon entering, we were greeted and seated right away and got to work on reviewing the menu. I started with orange juice to drink. After reviewing the menu, I decided on two eggs cooked over medium, 2 sausage links, hashbrowns, and, of course, a biscuit. A short time after ordering our food came out. My eggs were cooked perfectly, the sausage links were tasty, and the hashbrowns were hot and crispy. I only had half of the flaky biscuit due to my being gluten sensitive, I didn't want to overdo it, but what I tasted of it it was buttery and flaky. The country decor of the place made it feel homey, and the food matched the friendly service and ambiance. We really enjoyed our trip to The Biscuit House. Arrived right at 8:00am on a Sunday morning and we're back out the door by 8:40am. Fast service, good food, and family-friendly atmosphere. Dad had a pancake which was the size of the plate, there was a strong vanilla flavor which we both noticed, but enjoyed. He also had 2 slices of bacon and 2 scrambled eggs (I'm convinced there was actually 3 eggs there). I would recommend both dishes. My only call out would be I needed to add additional hot sauce from the table because there was "something" missing from the dish. Service was out of this world! read more

I didn't realize the place was under new owner ship. I used to love this place years ago. I won't be back again. I walked in around 12:15 and the place was more than half empty. Two servers saw me waiting to be seated, said nothing. Waited about 5 mins for someone to come seat us although it wasn't busy. I was shocked when I saw my child was given a cheap plastic fork. Why are children given plastic? That's tacky. Along with the different colored straws. The menu didn't say the kids pancake was topped with sprinkles and powdered sugar. I told my waitress this and she simply took it back and dusted it off cause you could still see the sprinkle stains on it. That was uncomfortable not knowing how they handled it in the back. I got the biscuit special. My biscuit was so hard to cut I couldn't even finish the bottom half. A biscuits from Popeyes would have been better quality. The hash browns had no flavor at all just potato and oil. The waitress never came back to check on us after she brought our food. Didn't ask if we needed anything more. We had a long wait for a table and a longer wait to be served. There was no one in line ahead of us and only a few people being served. Fortunately we were not in a big hurry. Coffee was good to excellent. As you would expect of any place with "biscuit" in the name, the biscuits were good, although some jam or other preserve to complement them would have been appreciated. Terri had the low carb breakfast which she said was good. It was nice to have the option of Turkey Sausage. I did the build your own omelet with country potatoes. The omelet was mediocre at best (swimming in what looked to be water) and the country potatoes were cooked with onion, pepper and some sort of unidentifiable spice- if I had known that, I would have ordered the hash browns. They have like 5 biscuit dishes and it's mostly different renditions of biscuits and gravy. Pros: service was good Cons: Salsa was overpowered by cilantro Beans had no salt Eggs were rubbery and the texture was not appealing. "Country potatoes" are not country potatoes they have jalapeños and Anaheim chiles not crispy or fried just simmered. I was so disappointed by the potatoes. Gravy for biscuits was bland. Biscuit was alright ... This was the first time I've ever experienced bad food at a restaurant. None of it was appealing. I would definitely not return.
