I'm a real fan of Postino's and have visited both the Kierland and East locations. When we're in Gilbert, we usually dine in either the cozy dining room or on their fabulous patio, but tonight we decided to do carry out instead. We ordered two bruschetta boards with Mexican Street Corn, Salmon Pesto, Prosciutto Mascarpone, Brie Apple Fig, Burrata Bacon Arugula, and Mozzarella Tomato Basil, along with a Caprese Panini on ciabatta with chips. Everything was really good. The bruschetta boards are always fun because it's impossible to pick a favorite -- every one tastes better than the last. The ingredients were fresh, the flavors worked really well together, and the portions were great for sharing. The Caprese Panini was flavorful and paired perfectly with the chips. My wife, daughter and I went to this Postino East location and they did not disappoint. We had a great waiter, Dillon. When I joined the wine club at the Postino Grant in Tucson, they did not give me the wine carrier bag. Dillon made sure their location manager, Jordan come to our table and officially present one, very thoughtful! We ordered some bruschetta and I had the prosciutto and Brie panini with a Caesar salad to enjoy my Malbec wine. We also shared the fries and the brownie with ice cream and a delicious sauce. Downtown Gilbert has so many good places to eat. You can't go wrong with Postino! This specific review is for an event hosted at Postino. We had an intimate baby shower for about 30 people at the patio. We had a delicious display of their most popular items. 3 different kinds of paninis (my fave is the Cubano), a few charcuterie boards, chicken and beef kabobs, meatballs, dips and pita, and a their famous bruschetta board. Aqua Panna water bottles were served. For the kids, the picnic board was perfect. The boys loved the pitchers of Bell's Two Hearted IPA. Their wine selection is also great. Great service. Good food. Postino is one of our favorite brunch spots for a ladies get-together. I love that they have both indoor and outdoor seating, and the patio misters help a lot on hot Arizona days (though you may get the occasional fly if you sit outside-trade off to enjoy the patio). We usually order a few different dishes to share. Our favorites are the boards, sweet potato fries, skewers and salads--everything we've tried has been delicious. Portions are generous, so with six of us ordering, there's always plenty to go around and usually leftovers. The drinks are great too, and their $6 glass specials until 5pm are hard to beat. The service overall was okay; I feel like it could have been a little bit better. It took a while for them to take our order, as well as get the check. I have a friend who raves about their location in Scottsdale and size o was here o decoded or check out this one in Gilbert. Place looks great. It has a nice outdoor patio as well as bar seating and indoor dining. We were greeted right away macrame to a table smack dab in the middle of the room with eye site pf the bar which I thought would be great. We chose the bruschetta board with the pick four option to start. Along with some waters while we tried to decide. Our server stated that the servers all help so we may encounter others; cool even better service. Unfortunately that's not what happened. We were completely ignored the rest of our time there. Multiple servers walked by us with not even a liver of eye contact. Our server only showed up at the end after I'd already tracked down someone else trying to get the check. It took another 10 minutes to get our check and a to go box. If I'm rating just the food 5/5 . Service 1/5. I don't think I'd be back here honestly. Not this location anyway. 11/04/2025 I had a friend in town who was craving Postino, and how could I turn down a Postino bruschetta board?? Every time we go together, we always get our own board because I will devour the whole thing! She went with all sweet flavors, and I like a balance between savory and sweet. Got my favorites: -Ricotta, dates, pistachios -Smoked salmon, pesto -Prosciutto, fig, mascarpone -Brie, apple, fig Hits the spot every time with the crunch of the bread and flavor combinations. The mocktails, however, were disappointing. I've had the alcoholic Espresso Martini there when it was first added to the menu, and did not like it. I was hoping the zero proof version would be better since it's just espresso and some flavoring, but my friend could not take a second sip. They use canned espresso, not freshly brewed, so that could be a contributing factor. The waiter was nice and took it off of our bill. I tried the zero proof "The Glow Up" - tequila alternative, cucumber, mint, and ginger beer. Given the ingredients, I was not expecting this to be sour. It was still drinkable, but I wouldn't order it again. I'll just stick with the board and water, or wine when I feel like drinking alcohol. I have been going to this location for years and I have been fortunate enough to get to know this amazing staff. Vicki and Sean are so great and have a presence that is comforting and warm. Even on their busiest of days, they remember preferences and genuinely want to know the answer to "how are you?". I cannot express how much I love this location and the rest of the phenomenal staff. It didn't feel rude, just indifferent. The bartender seemed like he was just doing his job, nothing more, didn't really care we were there, happy or not. I never felt especially welcomed or taken care of, the service felt flat. *Food & Drinks: the food menu is extremely limited, pretty much comprised of flatbread and small, overpriced, not much else. Not many food choices, and nothing really stood out as "oooh, that sounds good." If you're hungry, this isn't the place for you. What we had tasted okay, small pieces of bread with mediocre toppings, relatively bland, but that was about it. Decent, not memorable. The drinks were fine, again nothing bad, just nothing special. They did the job, not great prices, and I wasn't impressed or excited by any of it. *Ambiance: the space itself feels fine, looks nice, comfortable, but it didn't make up for the lack of energy from the service or the food. With so many vibrant, engaging places close by, this place felt a little lifeless in comparison. *Value: was pretty poor. The happy hour options and deals weren't great at all, and nothing felt like a standout value. With the prices and the experience, I kept thinking there are much better choices nearby offering far more for the same money, why wouldn't go there? *Overall: nothing was terrible, but nothing was special either. A suggestion please...I love the atmosphere, the wine selection and the really great food but was severely disappointed that they no longer have the vegan/veggie panini. As a health coach who teaches people how to cook healthier, I think as a restaurant that you could be much more inclusive to plant-based eaters. You are definitely leaving tons of money on the table. We would love more choices than a salad and a hummus plate (which are very good but are the only choices everywhere). I do like the fact that they have the sweet potato wedges, (good but not healthy if they are fried). The Greek hummus plate (that you have to take off the feta but that's fine) and one salad but everything has cheese or meat on it. An option to consider would be to bring back the veggie panini with one side of the bread having hummus and the other an avocado spread and stuff it with as many veggies as possible. And NO cheese. This would make so many people so happy! You already have most of the ingredients all over your menu so I think it would be pretty easy to have that as an option again. That was soooo good and I looked forward to having it a couple times a month. I came in once and asked the waitress if the kitchen would make that type of panini for me again since it was taken off the menu. She came back with a very snarky attitude and said no, that they didn't have the ingredients. Obviously they did but she wasn't having a good day. So we left. Now, if I want to modify a panini, I have to order one with meat and PAY FOR THE MEAT which I don't want. That's just not right. Also, you could do a couple plant based bruschettas. Maybe a fig and apple or an avocado base with tomatoes, oregano, basil, peppers and olive tapenade? Maybe a plant-based ricotta made from cashews with the sweet and spicy pepper jam? ...what in the pretentious hell has happened to Postino? Brunch here used to be delicious and affordable (ahem, please bring back the country toast...) But it's like they got caught up in being "Postino" and just overcharge for smaller plates of food. I miss the days when brunch at Postino meant 2 slices of soft, toasted bread, perfectly cooked eggs, melty cheese, and crisp bacon. Now it's a bigger price point for half the food that's not cooked with love but (ugh, I'm going to say it...) a side of conceit. So I was out in Gilbert to visit the Bookish Shop after going to Agritopia farmers market and was a little hungry, but not enough for a huge meal. I always love a girl dinner so I went to Postino so I could get a glass of wine and some bruschetta. It was super busy but I snagged a seat at the bar. I had a glass of Albariño and a glass of still rosé, both were good though they didn't totally blow me away. I have a great wine bar at home though so I may just be picky at this point. I went with the bruschetta board and got the Brie and apple, the sweet and spicy jam with goat cheese, the salami and pesto, and the chefs choice which is currently a Philly cheesesteak. I enjoyed all of them, but the salami and pesto best with the sweet and spicy jam/goat cheese one as a close second. Overall, a great choice for a lighter dinner. read more

Friendly staff, yes absolutely but there was such a lack of attention when it came to checking on our table, refilling drinks, etc. we had to flag down our waitress for the check because she just kept passing us by. Today we sat at the bar and Garrett was absolutely perfection. Fun, intuitive and thoughtful! He offered us extra bread for our mushroom fondue, made great recommendations for our food and drink choices, and grabbed a towel soaked with soda water when my friend spilled on her shirt. Apart from that, the atmosphere is lively (even on a midday Tuesday), the food is a flavorful adventure and happy hour drink pricing all day until 6! We opted for the side salad instead of the chips with the sandwich - idk what they put in their dressing, but it's SO good. We love the food here! My only complaint is service. We have been to multiple Postino locations throughout the valley (Postino East is the closest for us), but this one always misses the mark on service for us. We had an incredible evening out with Sean as our server. He made my night carding me, which is silly but at 42 with having a birthday a week ago, made my night! Service was incredible.
