Came in last night for restaurant week 9/25/26! First time at this location. I love all the open space looking over the Main Street of downtown Gilbert. The staff were wonderfully nice and made sure we got everything we needed for each dish that came out. I tried the El Diablo burger, which was my favorite, it has a good kick to it and love the sauce. I like that it's consistent with the other locations. Love the bread for the buns too. Also tried the Double smash burger, also very delicious. I also got the Sweet potato fries, it tasted fresh and right amount of crispy and soft. Lastly I got a slice of chocolate pie and it was really good. The crust was my favorite! It wasn't sweet and nice crunch/brittleness to it. And the chocolate cream was rich. read more

The restaurant is large and airy, with large garage doors which can be opened in pleasant weather. We were greeted and seated immediately upon entry. The waitperson gave us regular menus along with the special one for Restaurant Week. Companion and I decided to order from the special one. Companion and I ordered the Double Smashburger, but with only one patty instead of two. Watching waistlines you know! Companion ordered all the regular toppings which included tomato/bacon relish, american cheese and burger sauce. For myself, I was a bit different and left off the relish and sauce, but added sauteed onions. In case you didn't know, Zinburger got its name by sauteeing onions in zinfandel wine, and they still make them that way. The burger was excellent and was fairly smothered with wonderful onions. As part of the meal, we were also served french fries. Companion and I prefer our fries well done and crispy, and what we were brought were anything but that. A brief mention of it to our waitperson and they were immediately replaced with crunchy, crispy fries that were perfect. The meal also comes with a piece of pie that is to be shared. We ordered Banana Creme, but were so full that we asked for a box to take home. The restaurant was spotless, and service was excellent. The burgers were nicely cooked and were served with what I can only describe as pride. The food was good when it finally arrived. We usually like this place. The service was bad. We got there were seated quickly, early lunch not many people. The server came quick to ask if we wanted water and we did. We did not see anyone for about 15 minutes and no water. Then the hostess notices nothing on our table and asked if we were helped and we said we have have been waiting for water for 15 minutes and she apologized and asked if she could get us anything and we said water and take our order. She took the order and said she'd get the waitress over. Of anything else we need, we said again for the 3rd time, water. She said okay like the first time we asked. She got us the water in a few minutes. Then we waited another 30 minutes and nothing with the food and no waitress to be seen. The hostess again came over and asked if all okay. This was perhaps third time visiting here, and the quality keeps being very good. The burgers are delicious indeed, but this time I had wedge salad with seared tuna. It was pretty tasty although the tuna was obviously precooked. The service was again excellent, and the ambiance is relaxed, with modern decor. Hubby & I had dinner here tonight. I can't believe we haven't been here before. We were greeted by multiple staff when we walked in. Everyone was welcoming & friendly. We were seated right away & our server came over promptly. Hubby got his favorite draft beer, I got the red Zinrita. Both of which were good. We ordered the pretzels & cheese. Hubby got the burger of the week which was the Chuck Norris & onion rings. I got the double smashed burger & fries. The pretzels & cheese were excellent! She-who-must-be-obeyed and I enjoyed a leisurely drink a couple weeks ago and decided we'd invite visiting friends as part of a progressive dining experience. Zinburger was our choice for our main course as during previous visit the burgers looked more than yummy. We ordered a Zinburger, Double Smash Burger, Samburger and Classic Diner Burger. All agreed that our respective burgers were wonderful. I ordered a strawberry-cream soda to accompany my meal and highly recommend this non-alcoholic drink. Came here on Sunday morning with a friend. I like the decor and environment inside. We started with some frozen lemonade, strawberry smash and Peach Vanilla. Very good start. They actually came with bits of strawberries and a slice of peach. Then I ordered the Zinburger, my friend had a vegetarian burger, and we shared truffle fries. I think the fries were my favorite. Arrived on time for our reservation to be told that the table wasn't available yet. Finally seated we waited for our server for probably 10 minutes. She finally came and said she would bring us waters. This took at least another 10 minutes. She took our food and drink orders at that time, one drink came fairly quickly but the others were about ten minutes more. Then came various reasons for our food order (for 4 people) taking so long-large parties ahead of us . We've been to this location before when there are large groups already seated and it's never been a problem. By the time our food came out we'd been waiting an hour and 15 minutes, so we took it to go. My husband's burger was pretty raw. Met up with a girlfriend for dinner on a Saturday night and I have mixed thoughts. I had only been to Zinburger once prior many years ago and wanted to give it another go. I went with the diner burger with a gf bun & fries & also got a frozen cocktail that was delicious! The food overall was pretty good 4/5 but the time it took to get our food and my friends to-go order was ridiculous. The server and manager came over to apologize for the wait many times but it was clear the kitchen was very backed up and they may have had a lack of servers/cooks. After my initial experience, Jennifer from management reached out to me personally, apologized for what happened, and invited my wife and me back with a gift card. We went back today, and it was a completely different experience. From the moment we walked in, the service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. Our food came out quickly, everything tasted great, and the staff made us feel welcomed throughout our visit. It honestly felt like night and day compared to our first visit. (People came in after us and got served zucchini bites before our drinks ever arrived. Our food came out in a reasonable time and it was good. I ordered the tuna lettuce bites and they were tasty. You get enough tuna for 4 lettuce wraps. None of the burgers or sandwiches come with fries or side, you need to order that separately ...lame!! Burger was good. Everything else is pretty much the same, but consistency is good. I tried the tuna with lettuce cups, and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Speaking from someone who has grown up in Hawaii and has had fish quite often, I will be stealing this idea for my at home poke concoctions. The happiest meal deal with a double smash burger, fries, and a 12 oz beer was the perfect amount for my boyfriend and quite the deal for $16! I love the giant paintings of cows, and the rope lighting fixtures. There's a long bar with TVs if you don't want to miss your sports. I really wanted to love this place. It's on the main strip and they have outside seating with patio lights. It was very airy and comfortable. The servers were amazing very attentive. Serena was our server and she was so nice and was super helpful. It was my husband's birthday and they even gave him a free snickers shake. I ordered a root beer but after a couple sips, I wanted to change it to a Sprite and they were very accommodating. In terms of service and ambience I would give them five stars. Here is what we had. Onion rings- crunchy, cooked to perfection, but was lacking flavor. Diner burger- it was a good size because it wasn't too big and wasn't too small, but it too lacked flavor. I did like that they slightly over cook the cheese in the burger. It gave it some texture. Sambuger- the burger came with bacon, cheese, pickles and was a good size. The burgers do not come with fries. You can add them for $2.95. Snickers shake- this made the meal worth it. The shake was delicious! They had chocolate chips and peanuts inside the shake and on top of the whip cream. I think this is a limited time so run here and try this snicker shake. I think with just a little bit of seasoning this place would be great. It had a lot of people here, so maybe it was just a one off. I would come back again. I am disappointed that on a special day like today, I am writing a one-star review for a restaurant that I've tried before in Scottsdale and enjoyed and I recommended to my family today. We were celebrating a holiday today and my nephew's 18th birthday so we decided to stop by Zin Burger. We were a family of 15 people, adults and kids and we arrived at around 4:00pm on a Sunday. When we asked for a table, the waitress said she wanted to check with the Manager (because of the size of the group). That was ok. When she came back she said that the manager said ok, but proceeded to give us attitude by saying that we should have made reservations because "15 people are a lot for one server". She also was setting the table aggressively and said to two men in our group that "it's the law" to make reservations for large groups! We decided based on this experience to leave before she finished setting the table and we let her know that it was because "we were too many for one server and because we didn't appreciate her attitude". We walked over to Culinary Dropout and we had the most welcoming experience we could have received. Needless to say, we will not be returning to Zin. read more

Clean and contemporary in downtown Gilbert with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, Zinburger didn't disappoint tonight. My buddy said it was one of his favorite restaurants, and although I met some other friends a long time ago at the Scottsdale location, I can't remember trying the food. We sat at a high top indoors and I was glad I wore jeans because the AC was kickin'. We were seated immediately by a smiling, friendly hostess, but were not even offered water in the first 8 minutes. We placed an order for drinks, an appetizer and three different burgers. It took another 8 minutes to get drinks, so I was pretty thirsty by the time they got to the table. After another 15 minutes all the food came out together. The fried pickles - not on the menu - were over salted. The burgers were plated well, cooked properly and delicious, but a fourth one I ordered to go was very salty. I ordered fries lightly salted and they were lightly salted - much appreciation for the simple things - and I think this might be the key phrase to use here if you're sensitive to salt like me. Our server was attentive, refilled our drinks, and offered desert but we were too full. If you offered a kids size shake, 8oz or less, I would've got one, but 16oz is too big. In a service business, when you have 6 or 7 employees hanging out talking and customers without water for nearly 10 minutes after sitting down, that's room for improvement, a simple training could easily solve that. It's Arizona - offer water immediately. Send the appetizer first and watch the salt! The only other thing I can say is that I saw two GMs on the floor and neither visited our table. read more

I wasn't a huge fan of the ponzu sauce as it tasted a little too sour for my liking. We order the zucchini fries and truffle fries. Zucchini fries had a nice batter on them. The truffle fries were similar to regular fries. We got the diner burger and they split it in half as we were sharing. Buns were soft and the burger came out perfect. Refills were offered regularly.
