Love the chill vibes and dim lighting, can be a bit of a romantic setting or casual dinning, good for small &larger parties. We were in for our gfs bday, sweet they offer a free bday desert for her! I ordered the spicy margarita it was on point, served in a small glass tho.. . For my entree I got the burger, I'd say it was pretty average, and couldn't decide between the sweet pot fry or reg fry, server told me I could do half n half, great! For those of us whom are indecisive! I would come back and I'll try something different this time! Service was great she made sure we had everything we needed and stayed on top of drinks and any necessities .

We stopped in for a family dinner on a busy Saturday night and were impressed to be seated and greeted immediately. The service was efficient throughout the evening; our water stayed filled and appetizers arrived quickly. While the salsa and guacamole were a bit under-seasoned, the cauliflower appetizer was delicious (though the portion felt small for the price). We appreciated that the kitchen split our burger onto two plates for us. However, the cook was off--we requested medium-well, but the thick patties arrived medium with a lot of pink. Despite the minor food hiccups, the welcoming decor and beautiful patio make this a spot worth revisiting.

My husband wanted to watch the game somewhere and I wanted a great brunch, so I suggested The Vig! I've been to two other locations and enjoyed them, so I was excited to see one open in Mesa. We arrived just after 12 pm on a Saturday and though there were many diners, the restaurant was't super busy. We were greeted and seated right away. My husband requested to be seated near the bar with a great view of their TVs. We also had a great view of their beautiful patio. The space is stylish yet laid back. We ordered the following: Truffle Parmesan fries $12 Grilled chicken wings $18 Chilaquiles $18 I had the chilaquiles. Theirs comes with scrambled eggs, corn tortillas, white cheddar, braised pork, jalapeño crema, lettuce, and pico de gallo. However, I asked them to place the pork on the side. I'm not used to having a lot of lettuce in my chilaquiles, but it still was good. I've had better, though. I loved the truffle parmesan fries, who doesn't? My husband enjoyed his wings and the ambiance. Our server was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back again!

Had reservations and sat out on the beautiful and spacious patio. Emily was our waitress and was wonderful. I had the grilled shrimp tacos and my husband had the grilled salmon. There were 4 tacos served with a side of habanero salsa which was just the right amount of heat and I loved the pickled onions on the tacos. It also came with a side of well seasoned beans. The salmon was served medium rare over a bed of sautéed spinach and potatoes. The salmon was full of flavor. They also have happy hour M-F from 2-6.

Recently visited for a lunch with friends, and luckily came in for Happy Hour! We both had little ones, and I was a little concerned when we were placed in a booth, but it worked out great for us. We had a great server, and let us stay in her section while we were there for hours catching up! Their happy Hour menu was great: I highly recommend their nachos and sliders! We also ordered pecan pie for desert and WOW - the filling was not skipped on at all. It was loaded with pecans and so good.

We met some friends here for lunch that live in Queen Creek and it was the halfway point. We've been to the big in Arcadia and thought this place looked nice. We seated in the room behind the bar and there was also a party of 12 people in there as well, it was incredibly loud! We probably should have Requested to be moved since we were catching up with friends. It was very difficult to hear. I ordered the puzzle and my husband ordered the Asian chicken salad. He wasn't thrilled with the chicken salad as the chicken had the consistency of deli meat. My Pozole was OK, but it was severely lacking in protein and had very limited hominy as well. Maybe I've just gotten spoiled by what I get at Gallo Blanco or what I make at home It did have a decent level of heat though, and it was served hot. I had a glass of wine, a Pinot Grigio for $12 and husband had a beer, total bill was about $50 so it's a pricey lunch They do have a huge beautiful bar though, and this would probably be a great place for a happy hour with friends. Note that they do have some drink special specials on Sundays, which included a six dollar Margarita, which one person in our party enjoyed

I have been to the Vig one other time but a different location and it was good! I'm glad they opened one closer to me. Went here with my boyfriend for date night on a Friday. My first impression was that the space is beautiful, I love the design of it. Our waiter was friendly as well. We shared some wings which were pretty good, and I got a salad, I think it was an Autumn salad, but it was also good! I will definitely be back to try more.

This place was busy for a Friday at 5:30pm. We were told they had a 40 min wait. We opted for a spot at the bar and squeezed our way in. The bartender, Monica, was friendly and gave great recommendations. She was busy and it looked understaffed, but she never looked stressed and kept her cool as she juggled a lot of orders. The Happy Hour menu is what drew us in, and sold me for sure. They have lots of options and great cocktail choices for a good price. I'd go back for the Happy Hour alone. The food was pretty good and the patio was large either way heaters and comfortable seating as well. Glad I finally got to try this place.

This was our second visit here. Our first visit was based on several great recommendations from Go Gilbert. The first time, we had reservations, but I didn't leave a review because I wanted to come back for a second experience. This time, we didn't have reservations but were seated fairly quickly. We sat in the outdoor dining area, and it was lovely. The ambiance was perfect for both family dining and a casual date night. My husband order a sandwich and a salad, it was delish! I ordered the fish and chips -- the fish was delicious, though the "chips" were mostly small, broken pieces. I'm not sure if that was intentional, but it felt like we might have gotten the last few fries from the batch. Nevertheless, I really thought the fish was delicious! The location is great with plenty of parking spots. We will definitely be back!

My friend chose to come here for her birthday lunch this week. I'd read a bunch of reviews the night before and grew nervous because many were less than stellar. I'm happy to report that we had a great experience here. Elena set the tone by welcoming us warmly and there was a birthday card on the table for my friend. I love that they offer a lunch specials menu M-F with several choices for $15. It includes the entrees plus a soft drink which is a great deal. We both chose the burger. Side options are fries, sweet potato fries or a salad. My burger was really delicious and cooked to order with a generous portion of fries. Elena also brought out a complimentary birthday dessert (Butterscotch Bread Pudding) for my friend. The restaurant itself is very attractive and well-appointed with a spacious patio out front. I plan to bring my husband back so he can check out The Vig too.

    Wagyu Burger, Ribeye Cheesesteak.

First time here after several recommendations from my wife who's been here on a girls night. Warmly greeted and seated quickly. Cool, spacious interior, big comfy booth. Server went over some specials and took our drink order. Opted for the Old Fashioned and wife ordered the Strawberry Fields which consists of rum, strawberry puree, banana liquor, orgeat, and lemon juice. Old Fashioned was slightly too sweet for my tastes but I'm picky, still delicious and worth getting if you lean towards Old Fashioned's, sampled wifeys drink and it was super sweet but pretty much what you'd expect from the name, very tasty. I ordered the Wagyu burger, which was a 7oz wagyu party, bacon, Gruyère, blue cheese, caramelized onions, tomato jam, and garlic aioli. Wife went with the Ribeye Cheesteak which was exactly what the name implies. Burger was perfectly medium as I ordered and all components worked well together, juicy beef patty, salty bacon, umami cheese, smoky/funky blue cheese, a truly awesome burger with what appeared to be hand cut fries. The cheese steak was also amazing with actual shaved ribeye, cheese, peppers and onions on a crusty baguette. I was very impressed by the service the quality and the portions. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu.

We had lunch here and it's a nice spot. The restaurant is a welcome addition to Dana park with pretty interior and big patio. I had the lunch special - chicken sandwich with sweet potatoe fries and appreciate that the food is not overly salty. I loved that the lunch special includes a drink and I went with the passionfruit tea. The servers are attentive and friendly. The restaurant felt clean. Overall it's a relaxing place to enjoy lunch or dinner.

We came in with our family and three kids and sat on the patio since we were a larger group. After eating, our kids were sitting in chairs near our table, chatting and moving around a bit. They weren't being loud or disruptive, but a nearby a couple clearly seemed upset. The woman was shaking her head and saying to the waitress "this isn't okay to be doing while people are eating", pointing toward our kids. Once I realized this, I immediately called my kids back over and had them sit with us, and I even let her know that if something was bothering her, she could've told us and I would have addressed it right away. The couple chose to ignore us and left shortly after. The manager then came out and reassured us that Lucky Lou's is a family-friendly restaurant and that our kids were absolutely fine. That meant a lot to us and really showed how supportive and understanding the staff is. I also hope one day that couple realizes how hard it is to keep a 4-, 6-, and 8-year-old sitting at a table for more than 30 minutes without shoving an iPad in front of them. On top of that, the service was excellent, the atmosphere was welcoming, and I honestly had the best burger and tater tots of my life. We'll definitely be back--thank you for creating such a kid-friendly and enjoyable place for families!

The menu online looks promising, and it's very close to our home, so we decided to give it a try. This place is very bright and fresh looking, for lack of a better description. There's a bar, and a really great mural. There's an entire wall of banqettes, and some tables in the second room which is divided only by a half wall. There are some walls which I thought had exposed brick, but later noticed were wall boards. Either way, I love the look. We were seated right away and the nicest server came over. He really seems to love the restaurant and love the food, which is always a plus in my book. The boys each got a beer, and I got the Italian margarita. It was a sweet drink that kind of tasted like an Amaretto Sour, which makes sense since there's Amaretto in it. I liked it. They brought gigantic rolls with butter to the table. I really liked it because most places serve sourdough bread, and I don't really like sourdough bread. These large white rolls were yummy. I wasn't very hungry so I just ordered two meatballs, but I asked if I could have the meat sauce instead of the marinara that it usually comes with. Our server said there would be no problem with that, and there wasn't. Hubby got the spaghetti and meatballs, and son got eggplant parmesan. All of it was delicious and I give kudos for a really yummy meat sauce. For me, the meat sauce can make or break an Italian restaurant. They seem to do a pretty brisk take out business, and there were quite a few people by the time we left. I would love to come back and try the pizza, because pizzas that we saw coming out looked fantastic.

Always a lot of people there so it makes you want to be there. Restaurant wise they have really basic offerings. Places you can find in Mesa, and Tempe, and Scottsdale. Now.... What truly makes Downtown Gilbert special are the small shops that are hidden away from the "main strip". One of those places is Clever Koi. Hidden in the Parking lot space behind Shaq's Chicken spot is a small strip of shops. A book store, smoothie place, and my favorite Clever Koi. Our family has very different tastes when we move from one member to the next. So finding places that we all like gets tricky. Clever Koi makes that easy because we honestly have yet to run into something we don't like. Let's start with our favorite starter. The steamed buns (giggity). The pork belly is hands down phenomenal. An amazing bite that literally makes you want more and more. The lazy fries are just that, again pork belly is included, but that garlic aioli is what drives this dish. The tai salad is obviously classic. The short rib dumplings literally make you close your eyes and just say "Mmmmmm". My middle child is the hardest pallet to please at any restaurant as he only eats certain things, but the Chicken Katsu sandwich here is his second favorite chicken sandwich in all this world. The first time he ate it he spent the whole ride home raving about it. Mind you, we live in San Tan, so not a short ride. The shaking beef is always good. It has this firey kick that brings the heat upfront but does not linger. You cannot forget about the fried rice here. Rice is one of my weaknesses in life second only to pizza. Fried rice ranks right up there with my top favorite ways to eat rice and this ranks right up there with my favorite fried rice places. The main reason we come here is because of the noodles. Ramen, ramen, ramen. When you think of Ramen, I assure you this is what you are thinking of. The broth is oh so savory and reigns in the fresh veggies and proteins to meld them with the noodles for a flavor punch each time you have a mouthful. They have great drinks here as well, or so I've been told by the other adults I come here with. I always just get a sake and Sapporo so... LOL The service is always good here and we somehow always manage to miss the lunch or dinner rush which is awesome. All in all... this is by far my favorite dining spot in downtown Gilbert. Great food, great drinks, great service, great atmosphere, in the middle of a great little square. A must eat for me.

I highly recommend adding some of the homemade Fresno chile sriracha for a kick! The pork ramen was also very delicious. Be warned it's a lot of pork! My wife preferred it with the green jalapeño sriracha. The drinks were also very unique and delicious! A sideline view for me and riding the line for my wife. Oh and the best part was the dessert Bananas foster hush puppy puffs. These were so unique, seasoned with cinnamon sugar and Chinese 5 spice. It took some getting used to but the more you ate it with the Carmel toffee sauce the more I enjoyed it. All in all I can see why people love this place! It's a 5 star restaurant for a 3 star price! It's not a huge restaurant/bar, probably 50 seats or so. A good number of tables and then 15 seats or so at the bar. We sat at the bar. There's a pretty nice mural on one end too.
