    Kilt Lifter Stroganoff

Wow. I've driven by here so many times, it usually looks kinda empty during the day so I didn't know what to expect. Absolutely fantastic. The beef stroganoff with a dark beer gravy on it.... to die for. The Tuscan chicken was very good as well, huge chunks of garlic in it (which we like) and largely portioned. Even the kids fish and chips was pretty big and tasty. The garlic bread wasn't too bad either, but personally not my favorite. I think it needed more cheese for me. Not a huge brunch menu which is why we initially had come, but will definitely be back for more lunch/dinner. Service was quick and friendly, and the price was slightly above average (~$20 for the beef stroganoff). But they give you a lot which is always nice.

Came here during lunch with my friend, he got the Cubano and I got the lunch wings with mashed potato, with a Cajun dry rub I believe. My friend enjoyed his Cubano, said it was probably one of his top Cubano he's had. The thicker steak type fries were good too. My wings when they initially came out, I was a bit disappointed by their size, I'm use to slightly bigger and plumper wings. I couldn't really taste the smokiness in them, but I will say the dry rub was pretty good. Their mashed potatoes actually caught me by surprise, by how good they were plain with no gravy. I thoroughly enjoyed them! Our server was nice she interacted with us a bit, but I will say I think we only saw her a total of two times, not including the initial greet. We didn't mind since we were catching up with each other. But my friend didn't care for his lemonade at all, and basically forced himself to finish it, instead of getting a chance to switch it to something else. All around a good experience, I believe this was my third time coming in, don't think I've ever been disappointed in anything really. So atleast they're consistent with everything.

Stopped by here for a quick lunch. The place wasn't really crowded during lunch. The server was good and fast got us the menu and water right away. I tried the elotes Mac and cheese with fried chicken and it was really good , however the fried chicken was slightly overcooked but it was still good. My friend got a burger and she felt , her patty was dry. The server noticed this and offered to get another one. However we had to leave , and she wrote off the burger and charged us for the other dishes.

Great vibe nice patio. They have tons of options for drinks and food. The cocktails are a great price and they have tons of beer and cider on top. The owner brought us out some appetizers as it was our first time here they were all super sweet would definitely come back here again Yum.

Sat at the bar, the bartender is lovely, friendly & attentive. The full pound of wings (10) was split with dry rub & sauce, as suggested by my bartender. The wings are large, the dry rub was a good flavor, the wings in sauce were really good tasting but were a little cold compared to the dry rub temperature. A slight kick on the dry rub but not too spicy, the wings in sauce were like BBQ tender & fell off the bone. Typical bar ambiance with plenty of TV's, outdoor seating with garage doors.

Fun sports bar environment. We came on a Monday which is kid's eat free night. We recieved a complimentary flat bread appetizer for our first visit that had a delicious dipping oil. The burgers were good. They forgot to remove pickles off my burger and the kitchen ended up pulling them off so I gave part of my burger to my husband that still tasted like pickles. The server forgot to put in the kids meal so her meal came out after we were done eating. The kids meal was good but we ended up taking most of it home due to the delayed timing. Next time we hope to try tge sweet potato fries that were out.

We haven't been to this location is over 10'years. We had the best service, our waiter (wish I got his name) asked if we were new and we said it's been a long time. The manager came out to thank us for coming back and gave us a free bread dish. I have to be Gluten free, so I was happy to see they had a GF menu. I ended up with a Brie/Bacon burger. The best burger I had had in a LONG time. Perfectly cooked, the fig spread on this burger was so damn good. Amazing service, amazing food. Great choices at the bar, I had their cider on tap and it was amazing. Very clean location. The manager even came out to say hi and thank us for coming out. Also, great place to watch any game, so many TVs. Great Highly recommend this location.

    Nachos with chicken.
    Rashmi G.

My husband , son, and I dined here on a Saturday for a late lunch. Very casual vibes; we were seated closer to the bar but there was ample seating available. Our sever came by soon after to grab our drink and food orders. I got the Nachos with chicken, my husband got the Union Cottage Pie, and my son wanted chicken tenders with fries. It did take a bit for the food to come out, but it arrived hot which was good. The nachos had a good amount of toppings but there wasn't a lot of seasoning on the chicken so overall, a bit bland. My husband liked the cottage pie, it was definitely red-wine forward, but he was ok with that. My son's chicken tenders were fine too. We didn't get any drinks but they had a selection of beers on tap and other drinks as well. Prices for food weren't bad, maybe a bit on the higher side.

Update: I've been to this place many times, but I've never had a server as amazing as Micah! All of the servers here are great, but she's truly exceptional. My favorite item will always be the Cubano sandwich--it's packed with flavor and never disappoints. Micah deserves 10 stars on her own!

Parking: it looks to be severely limited but there is so much more parking to the east we had no problem finding a spot. Cocktails: boozy. :-) We ordered the Wake Up Call sans espresso, plus the brunch punch. I had to ask for an extra shot of cream because drinking so much bourbon & rum on an empty stomach got me a little fuzzy in the head. LOL! Never fear, the wonderful food soaked up the booze, the amount of water I downed helped, AND we walked around the area, as well as visiting the book store next door. Food: caramel roll, caprese omelet, California benedict. 100% delectable. Nothing was left on our plates. We would have licked them off if so many people weren't surrounding us, enjoying their meals. Ha ha! Staff: the ebullient gentleman welcoming us "warned" us about their fresh cinnamon rolls, saying they're large as a head, and though you could eat one alone, you may want to share. He was NOT kidding & yeah, we shared. Our server, Olivia, was so happy and chatty, she was extremely pleasant & attentive. We never felt neglected or ignored. The only hiccup to the visit was seeing some young chickee at another table suck on a vape. Luckily, that was mere minutes before we left, otherwise, we would have snitched on her. ;-)

Apparently they switched to summer hours recently & now it closes at 1pm. It's a Women owned restaurant inside an olde cute building with 4 small rooms inside for dining. The food was good & our waitress was sweet but they really should provide a carafe of water on the table &/or provide larger water glasses. One of us almost always had an empty glass. We only saw 2 young ladies working (1 server & 1 waitress). Think with small improvements this would be a solid 4 restaurant. I knocked off 1 start for accessibility issues. There was 1 lady in my party that has a walker but luckily she was able to navigate in & out of the building without any major issues. The Parking & bathrooms are a bit of a walk & may be difficult for someone with disabilities. I only saw 1 handicapped parking space. Plus all but the handicapped space in the parking lot is just sand/gravel. There's only 1 door for customers & it's located at the very front of the building (closest to Gilbert Rd). Know that the ramp to get into the building is quite short & steep. Also, the bathrooms are shared by the buildings in the complex & located in a separate building located behind the restaurant. *The ladies bathroom was clean, had a baby changer, & AC. It has a nice sized patio that runs along the front & side of the building with shade, fans, & misters. Too hot for my group on a 100+ degree day in AZ. Think I'd enjoy sitting in that outdoor space when it's cooler.

Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. My only real criticism is that the menu felt a bit limited, especially for vegetarians. My son had ordered food from here as takeout last year. The food taste was interesting, though, I really like the cheese dip for the pretzel bites. The bites were pretty big. Lots of tables at this location, a bit warm. But our party of 14 was easily accommodated. Our daughter chose this place and it was quite loud. My husband and I are quiet people, so if we were to choose again, probably not here because of the loudness and all the TVs all over the place. But for those who like it loud, TVs and do not mind the prices on the menu, have at it. I don't remember our server's name. If she told us, I couldn't hear what she said. She was alright. Honestly, I had a hard time hearing even my son who sat next to me, and hearing my sister who sat one seat over in front of me, I couldn't hear what she was saying. Loudness is an issue for me and I do not have hearing issues. Our bill with tip came to over $700+. That was the most expensive lunch we've ever spent for our party of 14. Typically we're in the $400-500 range. But it was a special occasion. My husband and son got the 36 hr ribs. My husband really loved them. My son said it was okay. I didn't ask my brother and BIL who also got the same dish. I know my BIL was unhappy that he didn't get the side he requested and when they gave it to him (asparagus, I think), it was cold and he wasn't pleased about this. I got the hub burger and it was okay. There was a lot on the burger, but the patty itself, didn't have that much flavor. Some of the "Starters" or appetizers things were salted too much, but the burger did not taste like it had any salt. I had eaten too many starters so when my food came, I wasn't very hungry and took most of it home and ate for dinner another night. My husband and son do not like coleslaw and I ate theirs. THIS I really liked and tasted much better than KFC. I loved the sweetness and that the cabbage was shredded bigger than KFC. The pretzel bites were good. We got wings, and they were so-so. The roasted brussel sprouts were too salty. The deviled eggs were okay, but pricey for 2.5 eggs, which I do pay at Trader Joe's for organic free range pasturized eggs I could've gotten over 2 dozens. But, yes, I pay for the service and ambiance. I really thought there would be more than 5 halves for the deviled eggs. We got the nachos and they were okay. The melted cheese sauce was the best part. My mom got the fish and chips and she seemed to pick at it. She didn't want to take home, so it must not have been that good because she almost always takes a doggy bag home. My sister had the salmon and it was in a huge bowl and didn't look to be that much food. It was pricey. One of my SILs got something I didn't recognize and she said it was okay. No one I could tell was over the moon with the taste of the food and I heard the word "interesting" quite a bit. It's not that it tasted bad, but it didn't really taste good good. You know what I mean? I did bring a special order cake I got at Nothing Bundt Cakes in Gilbert. I asked Culinary Dropout if we could borrow a cake cutter. They didn't have one. Weird. This was a Red Velvet cake and this was absolutely divine. It was moist. The frosting was some sort of yummy cream cheese frosting. The cake was perfectly sized for our party of 14. The cake was the best part of our meal and it didn't come from Culinary Dropout. I would pay this much for a meal at Roy's for lunch for this sized party, but alas, all the Roy's in the valley are closed down. So sad. I'm not saying this place is bad or the food tastes bad. It's okay and pricey. If the food was great or amazing, we don't mind pricey. We have paid over $1K for meals for our big party, and happily do so when the food is equivalent to the price.
