Wow. I've driven by here so many times, it usually looks kinda empty during the day so I didn't know what to expect. Absolutely fantastic. The beef stroganoff with a dark beer gravy on it.... to die for. The Tuscan chicken was very good as well, huge chunks of garlic in it (which we like) and largely portioned. Even the kids fish and chips was pretty big and tasty. The garlic bread wasn't too bad either, but personally not my favorite. I think it needed more cheese for me. Not a huge brunch menu which is why we initially had come, but will definitely be back for more lunch/dinner. Service was quick and friendly, and the price was slightly above average (~$20 for the beef stroganoff). But they give you a lot which is always nice. read more

Fun sports bar environment. We came on a Monday which is kid's eat free night. We recieved a complimentary flat bread appetizer for our first visit that had a delicious dipping oil. The burgers were good. They forgot to remove pickles off my burger and the kitchen ended up pulling them off so I gave part of my burger to my husband that still tasted like pickles. The server forgot to put in the kids meal so her meal came out after we were done eating. The kids meal was good but we ended up taking most of it home due to the delayed timing. Stopped by here for a quick lunch. The place wasn't really crowded during lunch. The server was good and fast got us the menu and water right away. I tried the elotes Mac and cheese with fried chicken and it was really good , however the fried chicken was slightly overcooked but it was still good. My friend got a burger and she felt , her patty was dry. The server noticed this and offered to get another one. Came here during lunch with my friend, he got the Cubano and I got the lunch wings with mashed potato, with a Cajun dry rub I believe. My friend enjoyed his Cubano, said it was probably one of his top Cubano he's had. The thicker steak type fries were good too. My wings when they initially came out, I was a bit disappointed by their size, I'm use to slightly bigger and plumper wings. I couldn't really taste the smokiness in them, but I will say the dry rub was pretty good. Their mashed potatoes actually caught me by surprise, by how good they were plain with no gravy. I thoroughly enjoyed them! Our server was nice she interacted with us a bit, but I will say I think we only saw her a total of two times, not including the initial greet. We didn't mind since we were catching up with each other. But my friend didn't care for his lemonade at all, and basically forced himself to finish it, instead of getting a chance to switch it to something else. All around a good experience, I believe this was my third time coming in, don't think I've ever been disappointed in anything really. So atleast they're consistent with everything. read more

Sat at the bar, the bartender is lovely, friendly & attentive. The full pound of wings (10) was split with dry rub & sauce, as suggested by my bartender. The wings are large, the dry rub was a good flavor, the wings in sauce were really good tasting but were a little cold compared to the dry rub temperature. Three of us went for dinner on Tuesday, May 26th. It was a two dollar off sandwich day. The three of us each ordered a sandwich. I had the Cubano, my friends ordered a Philly cheesesteak and a club sandwich. I can honestly say this was the best Cubano I've ever eaten. It was delicious. We haven't been to this location is over 10'years. We had the best service, our waiter (wish I got his name) asked if we were new and we said it's been a long time. The manager came out to thank us for coming back and gave us a free bread dish. I have to be Gluten free, so I was happy to see they had a GF menu. I ended up with a Brie/Bacon burger. The best burger I had had in a LONG time. Perfectly cooked, the fig spread on this burger was so damn good. Amazing service, amazing food. My husband , son, and I dined here on a Saturday for a late lunch. Very casual vibes; we were seated closer to the bar but there was ample seating available. Our sever came by soon after to grab our drink and food orders. I got the Nachos with chicken, my husband got the Union Cottage Pie, and my son wanted chicken tenders with fries. It did take a bit for the food to come out, but it arrived hot which was good. The nachos had a good amount of toppings but there wasn't a lot of seasoning on the chicken so overall, a bit bland. My husband liked the cottage pie, it was definitely red-wine forward, but he was ok with that. My son's chicken tenders were fine too. We didn't get any drinks but they had a selection of beers on tap and other drinks as well. Prices for food weren't bad, maybe a bit on the higher side. read more

Alright East valley! Let's talk Union Grill and Tap. My house hold has always forgotten this location is near our home though we go to the hub every few months. Today I ordered the smoked wings (well done) and sweet potato waffle fries. I'm just say it. I have a new comfort food. These wings were falling off the bone and scrumptiously delicious. Although the cleanliness could have used some work, the drinks were well crafted and the food was mostly tasty. Although we came on a weekday, they were packed. Despite coming at the very end of happy hour, our server helped us place two rounds of drinks. Besides discounted drinks and appetizers, there were also daily specials. We happened to stumble upon trivia night and the top 3 teams won gift cards. Our server gave great recommendations and consistently checked on us. The food notably took a long time to come out so it's best to place items in big rounds. Strangely every dishware was sticky. *Poutine Fries: crispy fries smothered in savory cheese and gravy. Wished there was a heavier application of garlic aioli as only a handful of fries had any. The bacon was my least favorite part as it was overly crispy and there was a sour aftertaste. *Sweet Potato Waffle Fries: simple but tasty. These could have used another minute in the fryer because I prefer a crispier bite. *Brussel Sprouts: the sprouts were limp and needed a longer cook to create a crust. I chose the honey maple flavoring and I enjoyed the sweet and acidic taste. However, the poor sprout texture really took away from the dish. *Kona Punch: on the sweeter side but easy to down. Heavy on the pineapple juice and honestly emanated a maraschino cherry on the beach. *Dessert Mule: one of my favorite renditions of the mule. The prickly pear flavoring was subtle with mild sour sweetness. There was a good pour of vodka and ginger beer. This review was 3.5 stars but given the fun trivia night and extensive drink menu, I rounded it up. The food was a bit overpriced for the quality and size but it wasn't the worst for a taproom. Our server was amazing and his great service made up for the slower kitchen. Overall, the vibes and drinks were worthwhile. read more

Poor service, mediocre food. Went there to meet up with a group, was seated as far from our group as possible, had to flag down another server to get our drinks refilled. And had yo hunt down our server to get our bill so we could finish eating and rejoin our group. Ticket had a default 25% gratuity and would only allow a 20% as a Minimum, honestly server deserved no tip. Will not be going back. Hopefully our group will find find a place with decent food and service. read more

Yum! Came in here over the weekend and watched some football and enjoyed good food. This place is also owned by The Hub and offer the same delicious smoked fall off the bone wings. The wings were so good and the burger as well. My boyfriend and I are equally obsessed with the French fries too! There are TONS of beer on tap and lots is tv. We noticed the Union Grill and Tap about two years ago while getting food at a nearby Pho place and thought we'd have to try it one day. Today was that day. We ae very happy we did! The ambience was typical for a gastropub bar and grill, with multiple big-screen TVs and both high top and low table seating. The noise level was relatively high, but we have been inside noisier places. We were seated immediately, and the waitress Tricia was right there to help get us started, showing us how to download the current beer on tap list and recommending a delicious local amber ale. Service was top notch and speedy without being rushed. The food was excellent. We started with beers and a pretzel basket that held enough that we took some home. We were also brought a complimentary delicious flat bread because it was our first time visiting. I had the pork schnitzel, and my wife had the Kilt Lifter stroganoff. Both were outstanding, with the Dijon sauce served over the schnitzel being a highlight. The servings were so large we again took some of each home for later. We asked about desert and Trisha told us what was available. We had the "one pound brownie" which was quite amazing and decadent, and again, took half home with us. The Union is apparently owned by the same folks who own the Hub chain, but the service and quality of food here surpassed the Hub. Highly recommended! read more
