I love this place! It's healthy and has perfect portion sizes plus there is something for the whole family. The tea is also amazing!

    Thai Coconut Chicken Bowl GF

Food: 3/5 Thai Coconut Chicken Bowl: 2.5/5 I ordered a base of sweet potatoes and rice with shrimp and chicken as the protein. The sauce and flavor was spot on. Even the protein was delicious and fresh. However, the sweet potatoes were not it. They were hard and dicey. Especially with sweet potatoes, they have to be fully cooked to be appreciated. These were still raw and seriously downgraded an otherwise delicious meal. Fortunately, I was distracted by catching up with my friend. Otherwise, I would have asked for them to remake my dish correctly. Service: 5/5 The cashier was quick and our food did not take long to make. Ambience: 5/5 Although it was quiet, the tables were clean and the dining area is trendy with water cups and takeout containers readily available. Overall, the sweet potatoes ruined the dish for me. Don't order sweet potatoes as a base for a bowl.

I've ordered here once before, but it had been some time since I was last here. I had an appointment nearby and needed to grab lunch on my way back to the office. I ordered a Moroccan Turkey sandwich with their seasonal lemonade (dragonfruit basil for $1!!). They have a pick-up station in the back of their building (west end) where your order is packaged with your name. I was able to get my items and my drink and head out. The sandwich was SO GOOD. It was turkey, avocado, roasted red pepper, red grape, cucumber, house greens, yogurt sauce, red wine vinaigrette, and multi-grain bread I would order that again and again if I worked closer to this location. The dragonfruit lemonade was also very good and was not overly sour, but instead nice and refreshing!

Years back, I had no clue what açaí was until I had my first ever Açaí Bowl at an Original ChopShop. Now I make them at home all the time. Original ChopShop is a fast-casual restaurant that has a menu that features protein bowls, salads, sandwiches, fresh juice, and breakfast items that are made from scratch. Their food not only tastes good, it makes you feel good. Original ChopShop has locations in a few states and we are lucky to have a number of them here. I recently stopped by this location and enjoyed the cleanliness and friendly staff at this restaurant. I love how comfy the seating is here. I ordered the Spicy Korean Steak Bowl and their seasonal Strawberry Ginger Lemonade. I also added an Espresso Cookie and enjoyed everything I ate. Original ChopShop is always a solid choice for me when I come here. In case you were wondering, the "chop" portion in the name ChopShop refers to how they handle their vegetables. The vegetables that they use like carrots, kale and cucumbers are chopped and then pressed into juices, placed into bowls, and packed into sandwiches and wraps.

Green Curry Tofu Bowl (with Brown Rice and Sweet Potato Hash)

Haven't been to a ChopShop in a while, but came here with my partner and his dad a few weeks ago. I absolutely love this location with all its natural lighting, the cute flowers on every table, and the nice outdoor patio. Plus, it's got tons of parking, which makes it even more stress-free! We ordered at the kiosks, which was helpful for thinking through customizations (I always get flustered when someone asks me a question that I wasn't prepared to answer), and the food came out quickly and the staff was super nice when they brought our food to us (I'm impressed how quickly they found us given that all they had was the number sign on our table). I wanted something a little more substantial so I got the Green Curry Tofu bowl with Brown Rice and Sweet Potato Hash. It had scallions, sesame seeds, cilantro, sugar snap peas, and just this really delicious green curry sauce. I was worried at first with how little sauce there was, but the sauce is so potent that just a little bit goes a long way. The tofu was well crisped, and the sweet potato hash had its own seasoning (maybe with paprika and cumin?) but it paired nicely with the green curry flavors. All in all a great experience. I'm glad I branched out from their salad, because this bowl was warm and wholesome.

I've visited this ChopShop a couple times. It's located in the Village Square at Dana Park. Parking is plentiful. This shop is bright, clean, and has a huge dining room towards the back as well as big patio. The staff here is always warm and welcoming. ChopShop is my go-to when I want a healthy fast casual option. ChopShop offers sandwiches, salads, bowls, juices, and more... I've tried a couple of different bowls from different location, and almost always end up with the green curry tofu. It comes with green onion, sesame seed, cilantro, sugar snap pea. Some days I get it with the Forbidden Rice and some days I get it with brown rice. It's delicious either way. The green curry sauce is flavorful and I can't get enough! It's so good. The juices and fruit bowls are fresh and tasty. I either get the cool down with watermelon, pineapple, apple, lime, and ginger or the slim squeeze with pear, strawberry, orange, apple, kiwi, and lemon. So refreshing! My husband got an acai bowl on our last visit and loved it. We'll be back soon!

    Original ChopShop

Original ChopShop has been my go to food spot since they opened! Every item I have ordered from the menu has been a 10/10, and the portion size is great for the price!! The workers are so kind and helpful, Joe and Ashley have really showed they care about this place and the people they are serving! This restaurant is always clean, welcoming and carries good vibes. I recommend this place to anyone that loves good quality food and homemade teas and lemonades!

Zoom in. Floor is extremely dirty.

Staff were pleasant, food was ok but lost my appetite and couldn't finish my food because the floor throughout the entire restaurant was filthy. I don't just mean a few crumbs, I mean food, mud, dirt. I was there at 9:30 am on a Saturday morning. Management, please stress the importance to your staff to clean. Zoom in n on photo.

Really fresh food. Drinks - coffee, tea, fresh lemonades, protein shakes and fresh juices Food - various salads, rice bowls, wraps and sandwiches Fast casual, order at the counter and food delivered to your table. I've been to several locations, Chandler, Tempe, this one on Val Vista Dr in Gilbert, and Queen Creek. Service and quality have been consistent with each.

    Kale Caesar

I met a friend for dinner as this was one of their favorite local places for a quick bite. This spot is located in a shopping complex that is easily accessible from the freeway and has ample parking. Inside is spacious and reminds me of a Panera Bread vibe, quiet and cozy. It was the night before a half marathon, so I was looking for a somewhat lighter option to avoid anything too heavy before bed. Everything on the menu sounded delicious and after scouring it for a solid 5 minutes I finally landed on the kale Caesar salad. The girl taking my order was very patient with me, which I appreciated not feeling rushed. I ended up taking most of it to-go and it held up well, even for lunch the next day! I'm admittedly not a huge kale fan, but it really worked well in this salad. The mix of romaine, kale, tomato, golden raisins and corn was a light and flavorful bite! I always ask for the dressing on the side as sometimes the Caesar is off to me, but their version was absolutely delicious! It was creamy, but had a brightness to it that helped cut through the heaviness of a traditional Caesar dressing. The croutons were delicious as well! I would absolutely go back the next time I'm in the greater Phoenix area and try more of the menu items!

    Breakfast burrito
    Holly M.

Okay I have to say I did not love my breakfast burrito. Usually I'm happy with most things I've tried here over time. But this time it just didn't work. I think the sweet potatoes were way over cooked and hard and burned. Burrito also had onions on ingredients but these onions were mostly raw. I assumed they'd be cooked at least. This burrito was a swing and a miss !

We sat outside the other day and it was. Beautiful. The food was delicious and service quick.

Parking: it looks to be severely limited but there is so much more parking to the east we had no problem finding a spot. Cocktails: boozy. :-) We ordered the Wake Up Call sans espresso, plus the brunch punch. I had to ask for an extra shot of cream because drinking so much bourbon & rum on an empty stomach got me a little fuzzy in the head. LOL! Never fear, the wonderful food soaked up the booze, the amount of water I downed helped, AND we walked around the area, as well as visiting the book store next door. Food: caramel roll, caprese omelet, California benedict. 100% delectable. Nothing was left on our plates. We would have licked them off if so many people weren't surrounding us, enjoying their meals. Ha ha! Staff: the ebullient gentleman welcoming us "warned" us about their fresh cinnamon rolls, saying they're large as a head, and though you could eat one alone, you may want to share. He was NOT kidding & yeah, we shared. Our server, Olivia, was so happy and chatty, she was extremely pleasant & attentive. We never felt neglected or ignored. I also loved that the porch was dog friendly, so even your furry family members can join. It's surrounded by adorable local shops, so the whole area makes for such a fun outing. The menu had so many options that it was honestly hard to choose because everything sounded so good. They also had an extensive drink selection, and I loved that they were able to turn one of the drinks into a mocktail for me. It was so refreshing and perfect especially since the Arizona heat is starting to kick in. The staff and service were incredibly sweet, attentive, and accommodating. After we finished eating, we walked around all the nearby shops to check everything out and walk off our food. It turned such a simple lunch date into a memorable little day together. Definitely a place we will be visiting again.

The location has a quaint, house-style feel with beautifully manicured grounds. The large doors were open, allowing a lovely breeze to flow through, a welcomed touch. There's also a convenient parking lot right next door, which was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant offers a variety of seating options: outside patio, high-top outdoor seating, inside bar seating, and traditional indoor dining. We arrived in that sweet spot between lunch and happy hour, so the restaurant was quiet and relaxed, exactly how we like it. Drinks My Blue Hawaiian ($15) was absolutely amazing, it really hit the spot, and I was still feeling great when we left! My husband ordered the Pizza Port Chronic ($5) and said it was a nice, refreshing change of pace. Our Server Andrew Andrew greeted us immediately, walked us through both the food and drink menus, and was genuinely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He was the highlight of our visit. Exceptional service. Appetizer Butter Board & Bread We started with the Butter Board ($14), served with toasted bread. The butter itself, whipped with ricotta, herbs, and what I believe was a honey drizzle, was absolutely delicious. My only note is that the bread edges were toasted a bit too dark for my taste, leaving a slightly burnt crust flavor and aroma. Entrées I ordered the Seared Scallops ($48), which were plated with white potatoes, purple potatoes (possibly ube), and sausage over a rich sauce. Unfortunately, the purple potatoes had a burnt taste that was off-putting, and I wasn't able to finish much of my meal. My husband, on the other hand, thoroughly enjoyed his Grilled Striped Bass ($48), beautifully plated and well-executed. Final Thoughts While my entree missed the mark this visit, Andrew's outstanding service and the overall ambience more than carried the experience. The space is gorgeous, the concept is lovely, and I can absolutely see returning when the seasonal menu refreshes. In my opinion, it's worth a second chance, we will be back.

I went with the Philly cheese steak and fries.. the Philly has thinly slice meat with peppers onions and melted cheese lightly toasted bun option to add mushrooms. It tasted great really tender slices of meat flavor on point. Fries I liked they're the crispy kind. Ive been in before and I always return, I haven't had one thing on their menu that I really didn't so I will keep coming back! :)

We came in with our family and three kids and sat on the patio since we were a larger group. After eating, our kids were sitting in chairs near our table, chatting and moving around a bit. They weren't being loud or disruptive, but a nearby a couple clearly seemed upset. The woman was shaking her head and saying to the waitress "this isn't okay to be doing while people are eating", pointing toward our kids. Once I realized this, I immediately called my kids back over and had them sit with us, and I even let her know that if something was bothering her, she could've told us and I would have addressed it right away. The couple chose to ignore us and left shortly after. The manager then came out and reassured us that Lucky Lou's is a family-friendly restaurant and that our kids were absolutely fine. That meant a lot to us and really showed how supportive and understanding the staff is. I also hope one day that couple realizes how hard it is to keep a 4-, 6-, and 8-year-old sitting at a table for more than 30 minutes without shoving an iPad in front of them. On top of that, the service was excellent, the atmosphere was welcoming, and I honestly had the best burger and tater tots of my life. We'll definitely be back--thank you for creating such a kid-friendly and enjoyable place for families!

We tried one of their house steam pot specialties and a seafood tower. I had ice tea and wife ordered the blood orange jenny drink; both were great and refreshing! I also ordered a loaf of their warmed sourdough and butter to share with the table. Almost like being in San Francisco! For dinner we decided to share a couple of things; the crab cakes, which comes with fried avocado and some of the best aioli for dipping. The cakes themselves are big and full of crab with just the right amount of filling to create a decadent and moist cake! We also shared the seared jumbo scallops...High Tides knows how to cook scallops to the best! So yummy and tender and perfectly cooked with that crispy outer and the soft, creamy inside. We also shared a Caesar salad and one of the things we love about this place...ask and you can get some fresh anchovy on the side to add to the salad. Wife always asks for more lemon as well to drizzle over the salad. Overall a fantastic dinner for us and everyone with us!

The restaurant and outdoor entertainment complex is huge and has a really fun, energetic vibe. According to the bartender, they have ping-pong, pickleball, and a big upstairs outdoor patio with amazing views of Tempe and the surrounding area. There's also a large parking lot, lots of outdoor seating, and even a dog park area, which makes it really easy to spend time here. The bartenders and wait staff were very friendly. Azbel was a great server. I had the bistro steak and fries and the Szechuan lettuce wraps, and both were really good. Portions were generous. During late-night happy hour my total was about $55 for a main entrée, an appetizer, a cocktail, and tip, which felt like a great deal. I was pleasantly surprised that happy hour runs every day Monday through Sunday from 3-6 PM and again from 8 PM to close. I also checked out the event venue on site, and it looks like it would be a great place for a company party, corporate event, or group gathering. I'll definitely be returning in the near future.

The Service was "electric" for us as we were celebrating a birthday at the table during lunch. It was too Hot for us to do pickleball, but they do have a fully shaded area that had people playing outside ~105 degrees. As for the food, we had the Fish & Chips with a Mahi Mahi Slaw & Fries, the Ahi Poke Tacos which come in Wonton shells. Hot Honey and Sausage Pizza was great. The Barbacoa Nachos had all the right ingredients & the Double Smash Burger had only some "fancy sauce" on the plate. The Tempura Green Bean, can't remember who ordered, but were good with the chipotle ranch sauce. With me, I'm all about the cocktails, so I treated myself to both the Froze Margarita & the Chi Chi. They call them spiked slushes, I call them "heaven sent" during the Arizona Summer. All of the food was a hit for the table and my family understood why I suggested EP for lunch! I said our Server was "electric" and that's because they made our experience very enjoyable. It was appreciated and I will return again for lunch and pickleball (in the evenings) during the hot summer!
