I want to start off by saying it has been at least 2 years since I have been to this location for various reasons (the food quality was ridiculous, the service was terrible and when I brought to the managers attention at that time, he clearly did not care). We decided to give this location another chance, and of all days, it was on a busy Mother's Day! But, so glad we gave it another shot. We observed a young man full of energy and very actively involved in helping out from left to right, up and down that restaurant. It was obvious to us he was the manager (Joshua) because he was so actively involved. He was very personable and stopped by our table (and others) to ensure we had everything we needed. He introduced other sauces that enhanced our meals and I have to say, his positive energy really improved the vibe and ambiance in this restaurant 100% over our last experience. We visited this location the evening of May 6 for a late dinner. Food was great but the women's bathroom looked a little run down. I have to give a 2 star rating due to the unsafe baby changing table. It's a big deal to get our family out to dinner with a baby. The changing table was over extended when opened which allows baby to easily roll off. Very unsafe. read more

Pita Jungle has been a staple and go to for me for many years. I will go to other Mediterranean focused spots and I always come back here as the food is always delicious and the service phenomenal! The food is consistently great no matter the location and this one was no different. I realized I hadn't had a gyro in forever so I decided to go for it in a bowl! Wow! First, it came out looking so beautiful! The presentation was on point and it made me not want to eat it, but I did! Every bite of the meat mixed with the tzaki was amazing. The rice was soft and fluffy and had a nice hint of spice! My friend and I really enjoyed ourselves here! We were able to sit and chat with the fresh air behind us for over two hours and there was no side eye or push for us to leave. The staff were so kind and welcoming! We love love love pita jungle! It is a casual restaurant with delicious Mediterranean food. The patio looks cute as well and has misters but we've never ate on the patio as weather has not permitted yet! I typically get one of the chicken bowls or gyro wrap with roasted potatoes. My husband swears by the chicken masala and will only get that every time! The kids meals also have a nice variety to choose from. read more

My wife and I went to Pita Jungle for the first time on Friday night for their Happy Hour. Our server was Katie (hope spelling is correct.) It's a really a nice location with ample seating inside and outside. Our server was just extremely helpful in having our drink and tapas selection. The tapas selections we made were fantastic and we found it helpful to get a taste of their cuisine as their regular menu has a very large selection. We were very impressed overall. She was super attentive, had a great attitude, and a smile that could probably convince you to order dessert even if you're full (I resisted) I had the gyro, and it was chef's kiss--perfectly seasoned and wrapped like it knew it had a job to do. I also got the garlic potatoes on the side, because.... saying no to garlic is just bad life choices. They were flavorful, and disappeared from my plate faster than I care to admit. The wife and I went to lunch today...sat outside at the bar enjoying the ambiance and beautiful weather...had a wonderful meal and the service was excellent. This place is located on the SE corner of Gilbert and Chandler Heights Rd. It is one of the few places open after 9pm in the area. There must be something about sriracha and Greek food because they have their own sriracha and have take out packets (see photo). They also have a takeout counter accessible from the outside or inside (see photo). Half price bottles of wine on Wed (see photo). The gyro and chicken shawarma wraps were both very good. Came here for a weekday dinner with a group of nine. Someone from our party either made a reservation or called ahead, so when we arrived, we were seated immediately. The staff was super friendly. I ordered the following: Spicy margarita Cilantro jalapeño hummus Tuna melt The spicy marg was delicious and had a nice kick. I've had the cilantro japaleño hummus from another Pita Jungle and loved it, so I had to get it again. It's creamy and full of cilantro and jalapeño flavor, which I love. For my entree, I chose the tuna melt, which was a seasonal item. It came recommended by our server and one person from our party. The pita it came with was stuffed with chunks of tuna. It was tasty and filling. Pita Jungle was busy that evening, and they seemed understaffed. Though our server was great, she had other tables and maybe even the bar. I love Mediterranean food & since just moving to the area & noticing one nearby I decided to give them a try. Hummus trio - regular hummus Cilantro jalapeño - chickpeas, tahini, fresh cilantro, fresh jalapeno, fresh garlic, evoo, lemon juice. What's not to like about hummus & give me 3 options in one & I'm in heaven. Portobello mushroom pita was pretty good as well. Quite pleased to see Pita Jungle at the Steelyard! This area needed a PJ - a perfect addition, and the vibe is casual, neighborhood friendly. It's not a very big space, but plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options. Granted it is a chain, the menu is geared to be healthy, fresh and reasonably priced. Gotta love that! Zero guilt:) Yelp tip: They offer a daily happy hour from 3pm - 5pm on some popular restaurant light bites. Both the fire roasted Chilpotle Chicken pizza and the Basil & Spinnach pizza included ($5.75) and oh sooo tasty! The bar service is attentive and made sure each item was made to satisfaction. They aim to please and extra sides of sauce or pitaš are complimentary. PJ even has their own line of hot sauces which you can try and also buy to enjoy at home. Waaay better than a lot of hot sauces on the market with healthier ingredients too. Needless to say, I'm a fan. Especially a fan of the Seared Tuna over hummus plate. Today we were lucky enough to have Adan as our waiter. Pita Jungle is one of mine and my boyfriend's favorite places to eat, although, it's a treat to dine in anywhere due to health problems of mine. Without any of that context Adan gave us above and beyond care and service. From the start of our dining experience we were thoroughly entertained by his charisma and energy. He was on top of everything, incredibly attentive, paid attention to any needs we may have had before we even knew ourselves we had any, and overall, was a complete joy to be around. His energy was so contagious it made us smile just to see when he was coming back to our table. This was already a special outing for us, but Adan made our day, and gave us a joyous memory we won't forget anytime soon. We stopped in for dinner on a Friday night and I was surprised that we were seated right away (it was very busy). The restaurant was clean and comfortable temp wise (it was so hot outside!) and the whole vibe was very feel good. We ordered drinks and the hummus trio as an appetizer, which was phenomenal. Our main meals were: Philly Chicken Pita, Chicken Tikka Masala and plain cheese pizza. It was a lot of food, came out fast and was great all around. Our servers were very attentive the entire time and did a great job making sure we had everything we needed. I don't recall their names but they were great. Just as we were wrapping up our meal, one of the servers dropped a plate and it shattered to pieces, with some of the pieces flying right into my foot, causing it to bleed instantly. I felt terrible for her, she felt really bad and was very sweet bringing me antiseptic wipes and a band aid to clean up the cut shards of the plate left on my toe. She was super sweet and apologetic and I appreciate that very much. However, I did see her go over and talk to the manager and they both looked over at me and I would have expected the manager to come over and apologize or offer to maybe pay for my meal or something like that but that didn't happen. I wasn't sweating it, it wasn't a huge deal to me but my husband was super annoyed that the manager never came over. As we were walking out, our server brought us over a couple of slices of Baklawa, which was a very kind gesture on her part. And the Baklawa was SO GOOD. Overall it was a good experience but I removed one star because of the manager (not the server - who I think did everything right). read more
