It had been years since I've been here so I wanted to give it another try as it's right down the street from my work. I was reminded why I don't dine here more frequently, they put the 'meh' in Mediterranean. Starting with the ambiance, this place is looking old and weathered. Their store front is not very inviting. Once inside, you navigate through their dining area to the counter to order. The counter area looks more like an advertisement for other establishments...stickers, ads, coupons, notes and all sorts of motley items. The man who I think was doing three jobs in one (host, order taker, bathroom attendant) took my order and walked away. No friendly hello or enthusiasm of any kind. Once I took my seat I watched several people use their store just for the bathroom in the back...the back where there's no door separating the dining area vs. kitchen vs. warehouse vs. bathroom. People were standing in a line to use the restroom a foot from where my food was being made. I ordered a simple gyro sandwich with rice. The sandwich was pretty straight-forward: gyro slices, onions, tomatoes and tzatziki. When it arrive, there was no sign of tomatoes or onion...just different shades of brown drowning in too much tzatziki. I eventually found several onions and one tiny tomato underneath all the meat. Underneath...what a poor presentation. The rice was okay...nothing special. There was nothing here that would draw me back. Having several other Mediterranean food options within miles that I do enjoy has relegated this place to 'in emergency break glass' status. read more

This place is located on West side of Alma School between Ray and Chandler. It's pretty small inside and people are very friendly. Prides are similar to other Greek places. Overall the portions are good sized but you should get extra sauce such as tzatziki because there isn't any in the pita as served. The combo platter is a good option to get a variety of appetizers. Gyro were as expected. I think the chicken shawarma could have had more spice and taste to it. read more

This place is a hidden gem tucked away in a strip mall in Chandler. I've visited this area before and apparently never noticed this Greek spot. Definitely a small space. Not for big parties. We went during lunch time and it was busy. Staff was super friendly and seemed to treat everyone like they are family. We ordered the combo meat platter and the chicken platter. They come with a protein, pita, tzatziki sauce, rice and a Greek salad. We also ordered their lemon chicken rice soup and it was superb. However, I wished they would've warned how piping hot it was. No amount of blowing on my soup spoon made it cool enough for me to eat, so upon my first taste of the soup, I burned my lip and tongue. Although it is very delicious, please be aware that it is ridiculously hot. Platters were full and tasty! Great spot, and I will definitely be back. As I'm writing this review I'm sitting in this restaurant amazed with how tasty, clean, and fast the shop is! I walked in here off of a recommendation from my friend for good shawarma and he raved about the chicken shawarma. I walked in and looked at all the wide array of menu items they had, but ultimately got the chicken shawarma on pita, since I'd be craving that haha. I met Fred the store owner and he was extremely helpful and told me everything about the food and menu! I waited a couple minutes and my food came out hot and fresh. The chicken was hot and the cucumbers, tomatoes and tzatziki sauce were fresh, cool and crisp! It was the perfect balance of savory and refreshing! After I finished my meal Fred came back in to check up on how I was doing and how the food was. We had a nice conversation and got to talk about him and his wife owning the shop for 16+ years and how they've been serving the whole community for that long. I can't recommend this spot enough! While I was there, I saw a large catered business lunch pick up, a few work lunch groups, regulars and a steady pick up of Uber eats. The owners might not overwhelm you with friendly customer service, but they are busy working on orders, serving tables, cleaning tables, and handling the volume of orders. The menu is fairly priced and served on real plates. They have a nice selection of drinks with ice teas and red cream soda. We had the chicken Shawarma and Philly steak sandwich combos. Each combo arrived with a bountiful salad. The pitas were soft and warm. The chicken Shawarma could use a bit more tzatziki (available for $1) but had a generous portion of chicken. We ordered the Chicken Shawarma and Chicken Kebab platters (both come with rice, pita, Tzatziki and salad, and the Chicken Kebab also comes with grilled vegetables). Sorry for the unappealing photo but that's the chicken kebab pita. And holy smokes was it delicious!! The flavors bursted in my mouth and the chicken was so juicy and cooked perfectly.
