Gyro Pita combo with Greek fries and garlic sauce.
Jeff B.

Wanted to try something new and Cairo's had great reviews and was close so we put on an order for pickup. I'm going to start with a gyro at any place that has them, so I opted for the combo with Greek fries and a side of the garlic sauce. My order was wrapping up right as I got there, they are right up the street from me so I expected to wait a bit. Restaurant was clean, and we were greeted quickly and warmly and told our order was almost ready. Got home and dug in, the gyro meat was what you'd expect, plentiful, in a nice pita with your typical onions, tomato and tzatziki. There was something else in this though, like an herb, maybe tarragon? But it really took the gyro to a whole new level, I really enjoyed it! The fries were plentiful and crispy, even after a quick trip home steaming in a styrofoam container, covered in seasoning, feta and lemon they were very good and the side of garlic sauce made them even more amazing. Very impressed by the portions and quality of the food. Will definitely return to try other items.

Chicken shawarma plate

Small counter-serve place with options to eat inside or take it to go. I love a good shawarma place and Cairo's Gyros did not disappoint. I got the chicken shawarma plate for lunch and it was great. The portion was pretty large and worth the value. Hummus, pita, and tzatziki sauce were so flavorful and delicious. The chicken was incredibly juicy. If I'm in the area again I will definitely come back.

Great fresh food and a great inviting environment. The food is so good. The pita bread was so warm and fluffy. We had the beef kabob plate and chicken shawarma plate. The owners are friendly and they even gave us a rice pudding for it being our first time. Lovely!! Definitely coming back here. Everything was 5

Why is mediterranean food so satisfying?? Happy to have a new gyro place nearby and we are not disappointed! Thursdays are usually a take-out night for us and finally saw this place up on doordash! Upon delivery, food was still hot and fresh (kudos to the driver). Our order consisted of gyro, Greek fries, and the chicken and kabob plate. The gyro was very good and the tzatziki sauce really balanced the fattiness of the meat. My only wish was that it was never-ending! The kabob and chicken plate was also very satisfying; the rice was perfect, chicken was not dry, and the kabob was tender! Top notch spot worth trying!

A very nice server came to take our order and bring our food. We were there talking for quite a long while, and he checked on us often, even after we had finished eating. We paid at the counter. I ordered the Greek salad with gyro meat. It normally comes with bets and olives, but I ordered it without them. My friends ordered the chicken shawarma plate, which is huge. Both were really good. This place is a solid choice for Mediterranean food. The service is great and so is the good, served in an inviting atmosphere.

The waitress never gave us or offered us any refills on drinks. She was gone most of the night. There's an upcharge for fresh bread and so I said yeah, we'll do it. She said she'd bring out the pee-packaged pita bread and the fresh bread that we paid extra for. Then she never brought out the pee-packaged stuff like she said she was going to. The bread was ok, but they only gave us 3 pieces of pita bread which were about the size of a sand dollar. This was not enough bread for 2 people with 3 dips. Also, the fries were the kind of fries you get when it looks like they haven't cleaned the grease in a while. The babaganoush was really good. But everything else was pretty mediocre. I've been here 3 or 4 times and everytime I feel as though the service is bad and the food is overpriced. It's really sad, but I want to like this place, but I can't. Also, they have a rewards program but my waitress didn't try to get me to sign up. I asked when I saw it. It's a pet peeve of mine. But- I guess she doesn't really care or offer it because she probably doesn't think people will come back. My friend who joined me tonight is Muslim and she needed a place to pray, but this place didn't have one. I was surprised to learn that tonight as well. Spend your money elsewhere.

When you enter the Gilbert Gateway Towne Center, you have to maneuver through tricky shared parking to find a space. We dined half past 6pm on Memorial Day, so thankfully parking was easier as I believe some businesses were closed for the holiday. Though parking is tight, there is no shortage of seating in this establishment. Some bench-style seating as well as chairs to accommodate whichever you prefer. What We Ordered: ~ The Great Greek Gyro (no onions) x2: My boyfriend remarked that the gyro meat tastes like it was reheated, which I also noticed it slightly tougher than a more authentic one I've had previously. Still a very solid gyro given this is a chain and fast service place with a generous portion. ~ Sides with our meals: French fries and lemon potatoes Personally, the lemon potatoes are a pass next time as very buttery and heavy. The French fries however, were fantastic! They appear to be twice fried to have an extra crunchiness. Overall, if I'm in the area and in the mood for Mediterranean, then I'd pop in to The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill. P.s. Don't forget to add your number for rewards via Toast!

It is a restaurant with a mini market which makes it feel so authentic. However, upon my first visit I didn't really look around the market but I did purchase a zero calorie Salaam cola which tasted exactly like Coca Cola. I ordered chicken shawarma plate and for appetizers I got the falafels. I started with the falafels and they were surprisingly not dry at all. I was not sure what kind of sauce it was served with but it paired well with it. The plate portion size is no joke...Everything on the plate had a huge portion size: the salad, hummus, rice, and meat...all of them...Every bite with the yogurt sauce was flavorful. And then I tried a bite with hummus, rice, chicken and the sauce...wombo combo flavors. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish all of it so I had to take a to go box home. On my next visit I ordered the beef shawarma plate and I was not disappointed at all. After finishing with an empty plate, I walked around the mini market. I noticed there was allot of Middle Eastern food, candies, and drinks. I really enjoyed my Salaam cola on my first visit but they did not have the zero calorie version in stock...I did research on the brand and I found that they created the cola to provide aid to countries like (free)Palestine and Yemen which I deeply support. Besides the food, I also saw keffiyehs on display which I liked as well. Overall, I rate this place a strong 10/10. I will come back to try other entrees and desserts like their baklava cheesecake. The dining area was clean and well maintained, with spotless tables and restrooms, which always makes a great first impression. We ordered two chicken shawarma plates: one with fries and hummus, and the other with salad and rice. Everything was seasoned perfectly. The chicken was tender, juicy, and full of flavor, the fries were crisp and well-spiced, and the hummus was smooth and delicious. We also tried the C1 combo Arabic style, which came with half chicken, half beef, and two sides. Both proteins were excellent, and the garlic sauce was a standout--we absolutely loved it. We couldn't help but notice many other customers enjoying salads, all of which looked fresh and generously topped with crisp vegetables. Portion sizes across the board were very good, leaving us satisfied with some to go. Overall, the food was excellent, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was clean and comfortable.
