    # 11 Chicken Shawarma Platter with rice, hummus and garlic sauce
    Katie S.

We are repeat customers here and for good reason... it's amazing! We have only dined in once and all other times did take out. In my book if your take out is amazing after a several mile drive that speaks volumes! Every time we get home with the food it's still hot and fresh. Their Greek fries may be the best I have ever had. My kids agree! Loaded with sauce and feta. Oh man! So good! The platter is generous and we share that with the fries to have a plentiful meal, even having leftovers! The staff is friendly every time. This place is usually packed when we come for our food which is a great sign. We will keep this one on rotation.

Pro-tip: Don't get the fries. You get way more meat getting a mix combo than the chicken kebab plate. Highlights: The restaurant interior is really cute and the customer service is great. My husband really liked the gyro meat - it was well portioned and flavorful. They have a very large menu and I would be interested in ordering something atypical that you get at other Greek counter Service chains. Lowlights: Really disappointed in their fries - they aren't crispy or satisfying. The regular pita is rock hard or you have to pay extra for their homemade one. The chicken shawarma was so greasy which I didn't even think was possible for chicken shawarma. For the plate meals, you only get two sides.

My family has been coming here for many years and the food has always been great, aside from a few take out mishaps. I definitely recommend dining in here, for that reason. I really like the chicken shawarma but decided to try the ghallaba today which was very solid, but surprisingly a little sweet.

Our neighbors recently introduced us to Phoenicia Cafe, and it has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants!! The space itself is small, but there is a variety of seating inside, as well as a few small tables outside. Service has been excellent both times we have dined in. We started with the hummus and pita for an appetizer - it's so yummy!! We usually end up taking some home with us. The small portion is definitely enough for 2-4 people. For this trip, we dined in on a Saturday evening. My husband and I split the Greek fries - gyro meat, fries, onions, tomatoes, feta, and tzatziki. They are AMAZING. We love them. It was plenty of enough food for us to split. We did, of course, buy some baklava for us to take home too!! I'm not sure if I'll try something new on the menu next time we come in, or if I'll stick with the Greek fries because of how much I love them!!

Visited this place last year... and completely forgot about the name. The service is amazing! Ambience is fun and food is just outstanding. We got done from the gym and wanted to have protein rich food. Given this is closer to the gym , we recalled how amazing the last experience was and visited it again! They now have fresh juices made in house which is PERFECT! The Lebene and hummus are just spot on and so was the speciality dish - Quizi. The meat of the lamb shank was perfect tender and juicy and fell off the bone leaving a mother watering moment! The lebene and lamb stole the show! Don't forget to try their speciality grape soda for that flavor enhancement! The juice took us by surprise and was perfect for after gym meal! I will def look forward to visiting here more!

Phoenicia derived from: The name Phoenicia comes from the Greek word phoinix, which may have referred to the color purple-red or to the Phoenicians' production of a highly valued purple dye. I walked in and was promptly greeted, to-go, go to the counter. If you're eating there, just pick up a table. Everyone was happy, excited, and most importantly, welcoming! Great start! When you walk in, it's a small spot, clean with about 15 tables. Sylvia and her husband run Phoenicia Cafe small little spot for 20 years! Did you know that? They are nailing the Mediterranean flavor profile! They just added a Pita machine to make them fresh! Using a Mediterranean spice, I believe it is called Za'arta (I could be worng) on one Pita sample, and the other one was Pita with cheesy deliciousness on top. I went with the beef shawarma and did not disappoint in any way, shape, or form! In-house made beef, marinated just right, house made hummus, house made Pita bread, lettuce, tomato's, onions, and tahini. Bite by bite, each one oozing a blend of flavors that will make your taste buds go bonkers! I wish I had ordered more Pita bread to pick up all the extra that busted out of the Pita! Check in on their Yelp page to see if they have a deal (may be expired, 50% off second item you buy) and if it is expired, who gives to 2 bleeps! They are well worth every dollar spent!! I unfortunately did not try the Baklava... next time! , Sas efcharistó (thank you in Greek) Paul

This place is super tasty! It's our first time eating here, but we will definitely be back. The staff was very friendly, proactive, and interactive. They helped us pick menus items and were patient with our many questions. We ordered to go. The wait was a little long since they made everything fresh, so bear that in mind if you plan to do take out.

Kind of. You can order at the counter or they come to you. It's sort of is both. Either way they really take care of you!

It's an interesting place. You walk into what is basically a gift shop with a bakery counter. There are lots of cool things in there and I need to remember to look here when I need to buy a gift. The pastries all look amazing. The dining room has tables with bistro chairs, and large chalkboards near the kitchen with the least wines, cocktails, and seasonal items. There is also a lot of wine. Our server was great--she was there often enough without being there too much. She made sure we had everything we needed. We ordered: *Fries with feta dressing *Gyro pita *Greek salad *Chicken de Medici pita *Monte Cristo *Spanakofillo *Tortellini Gianni If you've been to Greece, you know there is no lettuce in Greek salad, and there is none in Romeo's Greek salad, and it is fabulous! This a counter service restaurant, so once we paid we were fortunate to grab a table with only two available inside. Our food arrived about 10 minutes later. My Greek salad was fabulous, fresh tasting, crunch of the cucumbers, brine of the Kalamata olives and the Feta salty funk. The gyro portion on my salad was generous. My friend enjoyed her Kafta kabobs, flavorful and delicious. We enjoyed dining at both the Mesa and Chandler locations. Looking forward to returning. Highly recommended!

Everything looked soooo appetizing on the menu and since I was going to meal prep this week, the Al Sham Chicken Combo caught my eye. For $15, you get little cute pieces of chicken shawarma with 2 dips! I was in love with the red sauce and wish the garlic sauce was more garlic-y but it was good either way! The kofta was great as well but would definitely come back more for their shawarmas but it's definitely the best bang for your buck I also got some baba ganoush on the side to dip my fries in but unfortunately, I thought the baba ganoush was too lemony/there was too much sumac added so it wasn't as enjoyable. Most baba ganoush I've tasted in my hometown also had a smokey flavor to it from the eggplant so it really couldn't compare.

It is a restaurant with a mini market which makes it feel so authentic. However, upon my first visit I didn't really look around the market but I did purchase a zero calorie Salaam cola which tasted exactly like Coca Cola. I ordered chicken shawarma plate and for appetizers I got the falafels. I started with the falafels and they were surprisingly not dry at all. I was not sure what kind of sauce it was served with but it paired well with it. The plate portion size is no joke...Everything on the plate had a huge portion size: the salad, hummus, rice, and meat...all of them...Every bite with the yogurt sauce was flavorful. And then I tried a bite with hummus, rice, chicken and the sauce...wombo combo flavors. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish all of it so I had to take a to go box home. On my next visit I ordered the beef shawarma plate and I was not disappointed at all. After finishing with an empty plate, I walked around the mini market. I noticed there was allot of Middle Eastern food, candies, and drinks. I really enjoyed my Salaam cola on my first visit but they did not have the zero calorie version in stock...I did research on the brand and I found that they created the cola to provide aid to countries like (free)Palestine and Yemen which I deeply support. Besides the food, I also saw keffiyehs on display which I liked as well. Overall, I rate this place a strong 10/10. I will come back to try other entrees and desserts like their baklava cheesecake.
