We live 45 minutes from this Chinese food restaurant, but anytime we're in the Chandler area. This is where we go. The staff is great. The food is amazing. You can't go wrong.

Very disappointing experience As I say ok my Yelp profile I tell it like it is Service was slow Dishes came out in random fashion We ordered fried dumplings to start then sweet/sour chicken, spicy fish filet and house fried rice Sweet/sour chicken came out after a long wait We asked about the dumplings and were told they would be coming Dumplings barely fried on one side - undercooked at best - not good Fried rice was unappetizing to say the least- no flavor at all and chicken looked boiled - two measly shrimp on the platter - terrible Spicy fish was not spicy and way too oily from the fryer Food was barely average Chili oil was bland and the container was dirty with dried drips on the outside and the lid looked like it had not been cleaned in ages - pretty bad We will definitely not be going back My wife had a bad feeling when we were seated I asked her if she wanted to leave We decided to stay - bad call - should have heeded my wife's intuition

Charles kitchen offers a pleasant, comfortable dining option if you're in the area and wanting Chinese food. The service is some of the quickest I've ever had. I ordered and then received my food within five minutes. I ordered the Mapo tofu, which had the warm tofu taste with the Beaty ground beef sauce. It also had a little spice cake that I really enjoyed. I would say the main differences between their style on other Mapo tofu dishes I've had are the emphasis on the Szechuan pepper (it really lingers to the point of the Dandan noodle sensation) as well as it's oiliness. The service and the price are great factors for coming back, but I would probably explore other dishes the next time. Spent ~$12

Craving Chinese food, we saw this place on Yelp and found it in an outdated strip mall. Decor needs updating. The place was surprisingly crowded with several orders waiting for pickup on a Sunday. We liked the fish and pork dishes we ordered, but will probably get takeout next time.

Small, cute and fun. Looks like this place is the hotspot around town, pretty busy for a Thursday night but we were able to get a table right away. Upon sitting down, before ordering had the cutest older couple sit down and start a conversation with us, as unconventional as this might be, it was welcomed as they told us how much they loved the food here. The staff was super nice, bringing utensils after figuring out quickly I cannot use chopsticks (I should learn) and keeping the drinks full. The chicken mushroom and bok choy had a wonderful flavor, especially enjoyed the mushrooms. Husband ordered the vegetable egg drop soup, perfect for a cold rainy night. Hope to be back soon!

This place is amazing my girlfriend brought me over here for my birthday lunch and this place is hidden treasure. The food is absolutely yummy for my tummy and it's only four minutes for my daughter's house so win-win for me. The service is excellent, I would highly recommend it.

My son and I were craving dumplings and came to try this place. Very quaint little restaurant in a typical strip mall. The ambiance is very humble, but we were immediately greeted with sincere joy by the staff when we walked in. The servers were very attentive and helpful when they noticed we were taking a particularly long time looking over the menu. There were so many great things to choose from that we just couldn't decide. We ended up ordering a ton of items so we could sample a large array of their menu. The dumplings are handmade and you can taste the love in them. You definitely have to try those! I was not impressed by the fried rice for its seasoning or the scallion pancakes because they were dry and too doughy. The orange chicken had a delicious sauce and flavor. The eggplant dish was so authentic and absolutely delicious reheated the next day when I was having my leftovers. Despite the couple dishes that didn't wow us, we would definitely return. The food was great, prices were decent, service was excellent for how friendly and welcomed we felt. Very authentic feel for Chinese food in this little place.

This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Phoenix. It is far from our house, but we often make the trip and we have never been disappointed. It is always fantastic, highly recommended!!

Chou's Kitchen is a gem, provides a true culinary adventure specializing authentic northern Chinese cuisine that I have enjoyed many times! I can't believe this is my first review of this fabulous restaurant. We arrived around 6:30 on a Saturday, we were warmly welcomed and fortunate to get a table immediately. The restaurant filled shortly afterwards. We shared three dishes between two, Kung Pao Chicken, Braised Tofu with Scallions and Bok Choy, and Stir fry Ear Wood Mushrooms with cabbage. Each dish was fresh, had unique flavors and textures. The Kung Pao had a nice spice level, crisp vegetables and crunchy peanuts. The Ear Wood mushrooms and cabbage with a light sauce, simple with the unique texture of the mushrooms as the star. The Braised Tofu is amazing, the meaty texture of the Tofu perfectly complement by the Bok Choy. And I am typically not a big fan of Tofu, this is the exception. The mood of the restaurant is simple, comfortable and welcoming. I have tried many of the dishes from soups, dumplings and fish in chili oil. Everything is delicious! Explore and enjoy! Highly recommended!

I love coming here for XLB and the beef rolls! The Mongolian beef is nice and tender and the orange chicken is crispy and tasty. Service is always fast and friendly. It's a typical Chinese restaurant and there are a good number of tables. The hot and sour soup did taste bland and missing a flavor. Otherwise, I enjoyed my meal very much!

Great place to get some good Chinese food! Plenty of seating for small and big parties. The service is efficient, staff was super nice. Tried a bunch of things and things that were ok: soup dumplings (dough a tad thick but soup was there) and the fried rice. But definitely loved the eggplant, pork and the spicy fish was awesome. The menu is pretty extensive and there are many more dishes I will be coming back to try!

The food was good and plentiful. There wasn't any leftovers other than rice. I do wish there were more vegetables in the orange chicken. Service wise they were unwilling to waiver or make substitutions even at a cost. Part of it was language barrier I'm thinking as I tried to order chicken fried rice as a separate menu item and that didn't get delivered, but it also didn't get charged on the bill. Very good food. Don't get me wrong. Ambience wise it's great for families and a full stomach. Not a date night restaurant atmosphere but great for dinner at home. 4+ for the food and 3 for the service.

Food & customer service here is always great. Feels like we are guest in someone's house as the kitchen is always working hard. Really enjoy that vibe! We came later than expected on a Friday so it was a super late lunch and early dinner!!! Good thing is that we didn't have any issues getting a table for 6 comfortability. We ordered up most of the family favorites which included the Beef Pies, Steamed Juicy Pork Dumplings, Pan Fied Beef Funs, Green Onion Pancakes, Both wonton and hot & Sour Beef Soup, Toothpick Lamb, & the House Special Stir Fry. We frequent this place often and these are the things we really enjoy so if you're looking for some ideas, I hope my list helps! Enjoy!

Either way, The food we received was the bomb.com! We were hanging out and watching movies on a Saturday while my lady was nursing a bit of a cold. She wanted something in the chicken noodle soup family, and after a bit of back-and-forth, we decided to look for Ramen or pho. Now that's where the start started, but that's clearly not where it ended. After a couple of different searches, we found kung fu noodle And simply picked it based on a combination of the pictures, the reviews and the fact that they have several noodle soup options that looked really appealing. Ultimately, we ended up ordering the spicy beef noodle soup, and the house special noodle soup along with their dumplings, crab Rangoon's and fried rice. Now, usually I skip straight to the review of the food at this point, but I have to give them one additional compliment. This place goes the extra mile in terms of making sure the delivery experience is Extra level. Starting with their packaging, which, for someone who is infatuated with great design, they really do a great job of driving home the full brand experience! Not only were the package is aesthetically, pleasing and artistic in some cases, but they were also very functional as well with all of the plastic containers having sealed lids that had to be broken open for the first time by us. This was just extra assurance that our food wasn't tampered with on the ride from the restaurant to the house. In addition, the food was extremely fresh and hot, even the crab Rangoon's, which in some cases can be delivered with that wet, gummy effect because of the steam and condensation that accumulates inside of many of the take-home containers that you receive from most Asian food places. I wouldn't argue that this is the kind of containers that you would necessarily keep around as home Tupperware, but the bag that they sent everything in definitely feels like it's gotta reuse or two in it. Overall, we were really happy with the quality of the food as both Soups were portion wise enough for two consecutive days of meals. Same thing with the fried rice, which was really good We got the shrimp version and it had plenty of shrimp and veggies in addition to really fresh rice. Lastly, while I'm not specifically a dumpling guy, I decided to try these because the pictures looked really good on the website. And I can't lie, these were definitely really Good dumplings. Overall, we are looking forward to trying to spot out in person, but if we have to order again before we make it in person, that's what it is going to be!
