Food is decent, but the cook's attitude completely ruins this place. Every time I've been in, he's been rude, confrontational, and flat-out disrespectful. Twice he complained my bowl was "too full" and tried to make me pay more--despite the cashier telling us to pack it however we wanted. The last visit sealed it for me. They had the garlic and ginger labels mixed up, so I accidentally added too much ginger. When I went to remake my sauce, he called me back, scolded me in front of everyone, and accused me of wasting their money. Completely unprofessional and embarrassing. Went with my mom tonight and the guy at the front was very rude to her. Waved his finger at her like a dog to come closer cause he couldn't hear her question instead of asking to repeat or lean in to hear. Then my mom asked what bowl was the small one cause he didn't even tell us which bowl to grab (we got two small dinner bowls) and just was rude about it. As someone who is in the food industry this is very unwelcoming, maybe teach him how to treat customers with respect. I normally don't write reviews but no one disrespects my mom, she was very polite to him even though his tone was not. Wish we went to YC's instead, never have issues there but wanted to try this place out since I've never been. Giving one star because egg noodles were yummy... but my food felt watered out, I put a lot of sauce in my sauce bowl and couldn't taste much. We came here around 4:45pm for the first time. The place was literally empty we had it all to ourselves. The food was amazing, they had a sauce sign that told us what to put in and they worked out great. It was a nice touch because I've been to similar places and they didn't have that. This is a great concept. I love Mongolian, create your own bowl type restaurants. YC's Mongolian, (now Blazin'), was one of my favorite places to go to pre-Covid. We decided to order it on DoorDash because when we tried to eat inside they were closed that day. Everything was fine, the food came warm and our orders were correct. The food just wasn't anything special. The appetizers (Spring Rolls and Potsickers) were acceptable. The "Create your own" stir fries were very, very bland. You could barely taste the sauces we ordered. My bowl was supposed to be red curry sauce with peanuts, noodles, chicken, and red onions. It was okay but the noodles were quite dry. I would definitely come back, but in person, to try to get more sauce. Don't be so stingy! read more

We were reluctant to continue frequenting Sizzle, but at the same time, were sad because it was one of our favorite restaurants that we truly enjoy. I told the lady i wanted the littlest serving, she gave me a bigger size saying i couldn't buy that one. I spent $19 on this food and had all of 6-7 bites the food was delicious but the lady in the front wouldn't listen to me, when i told her i can't eat a lot of post op bariatric patient. Sizzle was a nice surprise in Chandler. Similar to other designs, you pick your protein and then load up with noodles and veggies. There were plenty of sauces to choose from and also a salad/rice bar after your food is cooked. Prices were fair for dinner at $14/$15 per person, however they offer large portions and you can really pack in the toppings. The vegetables were fresh and they offer beef, chicken, pork, cod, and shrimp proteins. Overall, nice spot and a really tasty meal. read more

So, live in the neighborhood right behind this restaurant , and the two closest ycs have taken the Covid temperature challenge, so here's a quick one..... I walk in and " check in" on Yelp say first time yada yada yada... "is this like ycs." Long story short, it is like ycs. Present the check in offer of "10% off" (you pay before making Bowl) and was told "I don't know anything about that" and I believe something to the effect of "this isn't my normal shift" or something like that. Again long story short... 10% CHECK IN OFFER WAS NOT ACCEPTED. !!!STRIKE 1!!! I ordered to go and received a large bowl and a small plastic container for rice soup and salad. SO I LOADED up my bowl. And sauce, and every time I've ever did this at similar places I put the peanuts and seeds in the sauce, because if anyone who has ever been to one of these places know they will roll off the hill of food. And I was told next time the peanuts go with the food not the sauce, in a so so tone. PEANUTS we talking about PEANUTS man. No biggie buuuuut...!!!STRIKE 2!!! So I filled my container with rice. Asked for another small bowl to get some soup, again just wanted to try since I've never been here, was told 1.99. Said no thank you I'll pass. !!!STRIKE 3!!! So I filled a couple soufflé cups with siracha grabbed a couple soy sauces and left. The food was pretty good. Would have liked to try it all but was not paying extra to try the soup or wonton chips or salad, but if I would have "dined in" it would have been CHEAPER, (I think takeout is +$.75) AND I would have been able to try EVERYTHING for the SAME price. So overall the vibe was dead, staff had no clue about CHECK IN offer through YELP, and staff didn't come off as happy to see me there, (there was one person in the restaurant when I walked in)I thought the price was okay for what food is going for these days. Overall 3/5 because food was pretty good and if I was to dine in I would probably enjoy more. And 2.5 is average in my book. So slightly above avg due to the food. I was in the area to run an errand when I spotted this business and decided to have lunch here. Since it was right when they opened, I believe I was their first customer of the day, because everything was clean and appeared to just have been placed on the line. All the vegetables appeared to have been freshly prepared/cut up. For lunch, you have choices of 4 meats (pork, 2 cuts of chicken and beef, shaved/thinly sliced actually). Basically this is a build your own bowl (small or large) with various sauces for you to create. During the dinner servings, they add Shrimp and Fish (flounder) as protein options. Once you build your bowl you take it to the chef/cook that will cook up your bowl. While waiting you can also help yourself to plain leafy greens salad with 3 types of dressing options (Ranch, Italian & Creamy Ginger) and egg drop soup, as well as fried wonton chips/strips. My bowl was cooked nicely and quickly. Both the cashier (Joanna or Joanne) was nice and the chef/cook. I could see the manager/owner was running around from the back to the front to get things set up too. Not a bad place for a quick lunch and plenty of left overs. read more

Horrible customer service. Been here multiple times before and never had a problem until today. Had my bf place a take out order in the restaurant, when he got home the spring rolls were missing that he paid for. He called and was told to come into the restaurant so the employee could see the receipt, but we live 30 minutes away and we told the guy on the phone that! He said he was too busy to help us and hung up. (Even though they have copies of the receipts they make customers sign) We tried calling back and were ignored. We have been really missing YC's that was next to us and decided to try out Sizzle. We were happy to walk in and see the same Mongolian set up that we love. In addition to the sauce recipes listed on the wall, they have a few of the owners favorite sauce combinations that you can also try. The service was quick and the owner came out and helped with sauce recommendations. The food lying out was pretty fresh and everything tasted very good. Good portion size for the price. Pretty nice location with plenty of seating! We stopped by for a late lunch and it wasn't too busy. We paid for two small bowls and a drink. (You pay as soon as you walk in) We grabbed our bowls at the front, and proceeded down to get our fixins. I topped my bow with as much as I could. The small is quite small, and so I found myself struggling at the end trying to get my noodles and veggies to fit.. The employee cooking it all up was friendly and cooked it up quick. I added some sesame seeds and cilantro at the end, and tadah it was ready to be eaten.. The salad and soup bar area was dirty though, and stuff was all over. I got myself some egg drop soup and also some white rice. (These items are available for customers who dine in) The white rice was crusty and didn't taste fresh. The soup was ok. My bowl was really good! It ended up being smaller then what I expected, since once cooked, everything like shrinks.. Overall this is a nice experience. STAY FAR AWAY Tonight myself, grandmother and my two children decided to try a new restaurant to support local and not only were we disappointed with the food but we were verbally assaulted by the owner (pictured). when my food was served I asked the server if it was mixed because my food tasted strongly like ginger and she asked me to remake my bowl and they would correct it, when I took my bowl up to the front the gentleman here told me this is my fault and I should express to them that I don't like ginger?! If I didn't put it in my food, why should I have to worry about that? That was only the beginning...when we we're finished eating the server (confirmed owners daughter) brought me three boxes and three to-go cups for our drinks, when I went to the front to fill the to-go cups I was followed by him and he yelled in front of everyone in the restaurant that drinks are for inside the restaurant only and that I could not take my drinks with me; people were so shocked they got up immediately and defended me saying you never yell at a customer (if that was you, thank you) ... when I took my drinks with me he told me I am not allowed back and called me a b**** in front of my grandmother, customers and children. I only got him calling me stupid on video because he completely caught me off guard. PLEASE STAY FAR AWAY AND IF ANYONE KNOWS HIS NAME PLEASE LET ME KNOW. So in that way there is no one to blame but myself if I don't like it. If I were to do it again, I would add more chili oil and more garlic oil. I thought it was enough, but my flavor was very mild. There were apparently fresh ingredients. The staff was friendly. There was soup and salad available in a separate salad bar (included). It was disappointing that they charge 50 cents for a to-go box. That was an annoyance after a pleasant meal. Given that there are other similar places around, this compares negatively to at least some of them. I had two bowls (not my fault) and the owner made sure that I was only using one to fill with the food options. Of course I was. High integrity brings solid friends. They have shrimp, imitation crab, eggs, bamboo shoots and many other fun items to create your noodle or rice dish. The price with shrimp and soda was $15. Great deal. You can pile on the noodles and soak them with your choice of sauce. Yum. I'll opt out of the drink next time because the healthier drinks are limited ...but props to the owner for they have cherry-limeade. Sugar that is hard to say no to. First time visiting and we dined during lunch. It was $12 for small bowl and $13 for large. Dinner prices are a $1 more and they offer shrimp. The proteins offered at both times are beef, chicken, and pork. Lots of veggies to choose from and starches such as ramen, rice, udon and other noodles. Several sauces.
