I probably shouldn't do this because then the secret will be out, but there is no way that (if I can help it) this restaurant shouldn't be at the top of everyone's list: HANDS DOWN, THE BEST WONTON SOUP in the state of AZ. Most wonton soups have that clear chicken/vegetable broth- this broth is hearty and savory (maybe bone broth?), the wontons are also filled with BBQ pork, which is also a game changer. This place WAS good - (key word = WAS) a few years ago. It used to be a monthly staple when we wanted a Chinese food fix. The last 4 times we've had it, the bill just continues to get bigger, the quantity of the food dwindled, and the quality - more than anything else has tanked! Chicken is dry EVERY SINGLE TIME. Noodles - is that's what you want to call them are always cooked into a mush. Beef is extremely fatty. I wouldn't recommend this place if you want something consistent. A coworker and I decided to give this place a try after our favorite Asian place was closed for the day. They have an extensive menu and the prices didn't seem too bad for some items, while others seemed a bit excessive. For example, I could get a chicken eggroll for $1.95 but a four count of crab rangoon was almost $5. The lunch combos come with your choice of rice, and you get to pick one side and there is options to add on and order extra meat. My sesame chicken combo was priced at $8.50 (which seems more than fair in my opinion). With adding an additional eggroll + tax +tip + service fee ($1.95 per order) I spent $13. We have no idea what that service fee is for because I picked up the order and I placed the order on their website. They were heavy handed with the rice, the eggroll was decent sized, and the chicken was what I expected as far as portion goes, just wish there had been more sauce for all that rice. The flavor was good on everything. My coworker and I both got chicken meals and we both agreed the chicken was tough and likely more breading than chicken. We both had random veggies in our chicken dishes. I had two pieces of broccoli and my coworker had some random large pieces on onion in their orange chicken. Something I learned entering the restaurant is this was New York style Chinese. I have heard of New York style Chinese food and people swear it tastes different but I didn't notice any significant taste difference from any other sesame chicken I've had. read more

Well I hate to say this. It's our second time in 2 months, gave it another chance. Been eating here for over 12 years use to be very good. They obviously changed cooks and the food that has really gone down hill. Last night we had terriaki chicken which tasted like some of weird flavor not terriaki at all. Orange chicken was also bland. The vegetable fried rice my wife used to love is now some type of darkisk muck - horrible. The only thing decent was the chow mein.. I say decent. The food here is too hit or miss there is no consistency. My go to was shrimp fried rice, house special chow fun and green bean chicken. Their egg foo young was a special treat. Last night I don't know what happened they completely missed the mark. Grisly chicken, green beans that were not fresh and seemed to be from different batches. There used to be an old dude in the kitchen that used to hook it up. Ever since Youngblood got involved in the operations the place just isn't the same. All their sauces are the same pretty much whatever the dish is called. Service is efficient but no smiles it's just transactional all the way. Ambiance umm there's none. Beijing Chandler seems to be on a downward trend. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, and House Special Fried Rice, and all three dishes left much to be desired. The General Tso's and Kung Pao Chicken were severely lacking in flavor and spice - not even a hint of spiciness that I love in a good Kung Pao. The House Special Fried Rice was equally disappointing, with bland seasoning and only five tiny shrimp, a far cry from the larger shrimp they used before. I placed our "order to go" from this location since, when we're in this shopping plaza, we noticed that they always appear to have tons of orders to go! I had the orange chicken and my friend got the egg foo young. I wasn't impressed to say the least! The portions of the patties were big but they didn't provide enough rice considering that the patties were pretty big. The prices are decent but we weren't impressed with the taste nor presentation. Usually these small Ma and Pop shops are really good but this was a thumbs down. Perhaps in the future, I'll try it again with a different dish just to give them a second chance. read more

I ordered chicken lo mein, which was delicious, and the lemon chicken specialty, which was not. The menu is not overly descriptive, so I was not exactly sure what to expect. What I received was a bunch of tempura battered chicken pieces, 3 pieces of broccoli, and a yellow sauce that had absolutely no flavor. Again, I was not sure what to expect, but I expected more than that. There was not any hint of a lemon flavor. I have been going to this restaurant for years, and have never been as disappointed in a meal as I was last night. I will probably return, but will not ever order something new. read more

We've ordered from this place frequently over the years, and overall it's not bad. Tonight I ordered the pan fried noodles with chicken. This review is to prevent you from making the same mistake I did. The dish contained an abundance of chicken. Unfortunately, that chicken was boiled and had a weird texture. The sauce is clear (and quite lacking in flavor), so it didn't do anything to hide the appearance of the pale chicken. My dogs' mouths began to water, as they knew that they would soon enjoy the poultry I was extricating from my vegetables. The vegetables were nicely cooked. No complaints there. As I'm enjoying my vegetables and noodles, I notice a weird blob in my mouth. I look at my dish to see the sauce, although still warm, is congealing. Gross. It is a hidden gem at a hole in the wall shopping center. This is currently my goto favorite Chinese place. My families too. It has stretched out to my extended family as well. This spot is not what it seems. When you initially receive the food it smells delicious. However, the food... I could have made it myself and saved the money. My boyfriend and I ordered the beef fried rice and the beef chow mein. We also ordered crab rangoons and pork dumplings. The fried rice: it's missing eggs, the vegetables, the green onions. Literally looks like they just grabbed a batch of regular rice and threw meat in it. You have to lather it in soy sauce in order for it to have flavor. The chow mein: it was definitely better than the fried rice but still, not worth the bucks. It's bland. Plain. No veggies, no onions, ridiculously simple. The dumplings weren't the greatest either. The only reason why it's getting two stars and not just one is because the crab rangoons were pretty great. I probably won't be coming back here and I wouldn't recommend it. read more

Zero would be best. I've gotten the same thing for years cooked exactly the same way. I called and asked for it to be remade, I must have veggies very well done or I cant eat it, and I was told several things... 1- we cant cook them more well done 2- come and we will remake it with them well done 3- we already made it well done 4- the manager says it will take us an hour to soften the veggies Which is it? If the veggies are well done now, the things are still in the ground for you folks and covered in dirt.. that is how raw the overcooked are for me.
