    General Tso's Chicken

Ordered egg fried rice and there was no egg to be found and rice was very bland and the chicken was not cooked in the center was still raw.

General Tao's, veggie friend rice and chow mein with veggies.

I tried the food after new ownership tonight. It's better. The friend rice was fine. Could use a little more flavor, maybe garlic and ginger. The chow mein was good. I added extra veggies. Egg rolls were fine. I asked about the pot sticker but they do not make them in house, so I passed. The General Tao's was not so great. It had too much breading on the chicken and the sauce was just average. Previously I considered the food there unbeatable. This time I plan to try more items. I would plan to do take out. The workers are yelling back and forth to the kitchen so that kind of ruins the ambiance. Service was great!

    Won ton appetizer

Very disappointed!!! We ordered a n appetizer (10) won ton and there no meat in it. The pork fried rice had no flavor . The egg drop soup was the only tasty food out of order.

Another view of the tiny shrimp that menu says are Jumbo.

We decided to try Asian Grill again a few months ago. It used to be our "go to" Asian restaurant but we gave it a break for two years after experiencing a pesticide or chemical taste in the food a few times in a row (might have been whatever they were cleaning their pans or utensils with). On the positive side: no more pesticide taste in the food. On the negative side: we used to get dinner plus a lunch out of the dinner portion. Now the dinner portions have been cut way back and are more like a large lunch portion. Ok, I can accept that. Portion size is on par with many Asian restaurants. Here is what is disappointing and while I will revert back to Moon China in Ocotillo. The thing I like best about Asian Grill was that their Jumbo Shrimp really featured Jumbo shrimp always. A couple of weeks ago, I ordered a shrimp dish and the shrimp were maybe a medium. This week, I ordered and they were very snail, many the size of bay shrimp or barely larger. The menu still says "Jumbo" for every shrimp dish. I took pictures this time. The shrimp both times tasted like frozen, pre-cooked shrimp that was re-warmed. The texture was like shrimp that has been cooked twice. It was nearly flavorless. One had the big black vein (poop sack) in it. I did not eat that one. In the past, it tastes sweet and fresh. I wonder if the owners sold to someone who is cutting back on portion size and quality? Or if a manager cane aboard that made those changes? In any case, I won't be back -- at least not for shrimp if at all. I hope they see this and revert to how they used to be and maybe we'll go back. Photos attached.

The sweet n sour chicken, egg rolls and crab puffs were good. My kung pai did not have much flavor. It was spicy with a brown watery sauce.

I opted for the Chilean Seabass with whipped potatoes and a Lobster Shallot Tarragon butter. It was exceptional. Cooked near perfection, succulent, tender fish with the rich sauce and creamy mash. An excellent choice. Along with with a cold draft Stella, a great meal. My friends each had the Halibut and they both said it was exceptional as well. 4.5 Stars rounded up for our great server 01176

Because it gets rave reviews, started with the lobster pot stickers .. they lived up to their billing, I think there were 5 on the plate as my dining partner and I flipped a coin to see who got the extra odd one. For entrees, order the crusted mahi and the Chilean Sea Bass. Both were excellent, perfectly cooked. My server found me an outstanding white wine for my fish. Not leaving without sampling the bread pudding. Don't miss this even if you are full. It's that good. Whole experience very enjoyable with live jazz music playing indoors and piped out to patio. Will def go back. Menu full of good looking food

I approached the counter she was behind and asked if I could have a table for one. I then clarified that I would prefer a booth as the area the chairs were located has people constantly walk behind you and that triggers my PTSD a bit. The girl looked me in the eye and grumbled ok and told me to follow her. She led me to a table with chairs. If there were no booths available I would have waited, but I didn't say anything. Maybe a single person wasn't allowed a booth. She dropped the menu and walked away, never said a single thing. The restaurant itself was very cramped. I know it's a seafood restaurant, but that doesn't mean you need to treat your customers like sardines in a tin. It's definitely positioned to fix maximum attendance without comfort in mind. The waitress I had was kind and sweet, very professional. She refilled the drinks I had quickly enough. The whole experience was quite slow, it took me about 90 minutes from entry to paying my bill, which felt like is longer than the amount of customers inside would warrant. The main issue I had was the quantity of food. It's hard to fault the place too much for this. They aren't trying to deceive you, but they are using every legal marketing technique at their disposal to hide how much food you actually get. When you order scallops at a place like Red Lobster you get a skewer of them, even other high end places like Osaka. However, here you get a scallop. Yes, a singular scallop. There's no note saying it's that price per scallop. No description saying this is a single scallop. The word isn't plural, but my first thought wasn't a, "oh a restaurant would serve a single scallop at a time." The menu price is also high enough where assuming you get a skewer of scallops isn't unreasonable. So yes, it is on me to not analyze the menu appropriately, but regardless I still felt remarkably disappointed after the long wait and huge bill with the amount of food I received. I also got some crab legs as well, it was a crab happy hour at the time. I ordered the Entree and while yes, it said 1/2 lb, I don't order crab legs enough to realize half a pound of crab legs is two. That's like four bites of meat. I figured the word Entree and the $75 price tag was enough to indicate that this was enough to feed a full grown adult. I was wrong. When you order crab legs at any other restaurant, you get enough for a meal. This wasn't even enough for an appetizer. The sides themselves were also quite disappointing. I got a smashed potato or something, which is quite literally what it sounds like. A baked potato they smashed into a cup. Not expertly cooked or seasoned with awesome toppings, just a generic potato. Then the most average baked mac and cheese imaginable littered with bread crumbs to try to mask its cheap taste. I left with a $125 bill after tip. To me, that's an insane price to pay for this amount of food and essentially leaving hungry. Considering nothing on this table requires an expert chef to make they are asking for too much. May as well go somewhere cheaper. I mean its crab... it's not like they season it or anything. Can't say I'll be back. Ever.

My husband and I looked over the link, and what caught our eye was how pricey it was. Still, we decided that we could splurge and give it a try. Before going, our son-in-law called them. Our plan was to have an early dinner on Monday. He was told to come on in, and no reservation was needed. When we arrived, we were greeted and seated quickly. We were given a booth that easily fit the six of us. After looking at the menu, we were ready to order. One of our grandsons and I ordered the 7 oz. filet. Each entree comes with one side. We both chose asparagus. Our son-in-law had a New York strip steak, and another grandson ordered the Argentinian skirt steak. The third grandson had a chicken dish. We were offered some bread, which we accepted. It was good and gave us something to snack on while our food was being prepared. We all enjoyed our meals. My husband, who also got a filet, had it topped with mushrooms sautéed in Madeira wine, and broccolini. He said, in hindsight, that he wished he hadn't ordered the mushrooms as they overpowered the flavor of the steak. We all got our steaks cooked medium rare. I must say that the filet was one of the best I've ever had! They dry-age their steaks on-site. The meat was very tender and had a great, robust flavor. Service was excellent -- attentive without being overbearing. As for ambiance, the dining room was on the dimly lit side, and the decor says "upscale steakhouse." All in all, we're glad we went, and when we're in town next time, should our grandsons want to go, we will head there.
