Be sure to check the Maricopa County Restaurant Inspections website. On 4/7/26 an inspector observed live cockroaches in the back and they claimed they treat for pests themselves. They must hire a professional company that is certified! You run a restaurant and don't know this? They also had a bug zapper that had no dead animal catcher installed at the bottom of it. In use utensils for scooping stored in Luke warm water in violation. You have been warned. Upon a scheduled re-inspection on 4/17/26 all violations were reported to have been corrected. read more

The original owners were better. Caring and Happy to see everyone. They took honey chicken off the menu-not a deal breaker. The cool bento boxes are gone-so no free delicious salad. They bring lunch out on an oval plate and the waitress brought our food over with her finger touching the egg roll. I don't want your hands in my food. She is not friendly AT ALL. The chairs look old and recovered poorly. The lanterns are dusty. And the front of the restaurant is cluttered with boxes, it's a storage area we all have to see. The original owners were so much more family oriented and warm and welcoming. This new staff/owners behave miserable and bothered. I need a new place. read more

Tried giving them another try. Ordered online. 5:50 pickup time. Walked in at 5:50, and they couldn't find our order. Ended up ignoring us and helping someone else who walked in. Another guy came out and said that we must have placed our order wrong. Showed them the order and order number confirmation. Scrolls through the system for a bit and then just says "oh there it is". And walks off, not gong any other update. 20 minutes later finally hands us our meal. This place has gone downhill. We will find somewhere new. read more

Food was tasty and a good value in my opinion. All entrees are served with white rice and for $3 more, you can make it a combo by adding a small side salad, 1 chicken egg roll, and 2 cream cheese rangoons (recommended). My order was to go so I can't rate the interior of the restaurant. While I would not say their food is spectacular it's also better than many other Chinese joints I've tried. That said and for my first experience, I will rate each item I ordered on a scale to 5 (5 being outstanding). The Orange Chicken 3/5 - In most places, the orange chicken is usually somewhat crispy before it's coated in the sauce but the consistency here was the coating was mushy. The chicken was cooked right but the coating was soft which to me was a bit strange. I'm used to orange chicken having a crispiness to it under all the sauce. The sauce also was not the best I've ever had. It had a somewhat spicy taste. It was almost like spicy meets sweet (if that makes sense) and it wasn't horrible, but to me, nothing special. I'm used to orange chicken having a zest and it's not that J&K's doesn't, it's just I've had better. I ordered mine with fried rice and that leads me to my next category-- Fried rice 4/5 -it has egg! Yes this made me happy! It makes me mad when I order fried rice and a substitute is used (such as corn). Not the case here! And it has the veggies fried rice should have! It was cooked perfectly. The only reason I dock a star is because it seemed more oily than other places I've tried. Maybe cut back just a tad on the oil and the fried rice would easily be 5/5. Beef Lo Mein 3/5 -I'm not sure why but the lo-mein had a 'fishy' taste. It tasted almost like shrimp was in it at some point (best way I can describe it). The sauce also was not as thick on this one and I'm not sure if the sauce is the cause of the taste. It's just a slight hint of tasting like seafood and it's not that I don't like seafood, but it doesn't work with beef. It's still edible, it wasn't nasty, but like the orange chicken, just nothing to rave about. The meat rolls (egg-rolls) -5/5. I could eat these all day (and probably be as big as a house!). Crispy, fresh and cooked just right. Delicious. They hit it out of the park here. Definitely recommended. The potstickers -5/5. Like the egg-rolls these are cooked just right and though pan fried, not too greasy (which is why I can't understand the fried rice being greasy. One thing though -i'm not sure why they feel the need to put them on a bed of lettuce? Just a matter of opinion but they would be fine without the lettuce. Taste is good and with pot stickers it's usually one of those appetizers where you either like them or don't. They are good here. The service was quick and the order of all the above was ready in about 20-30 minutes so service I would rate a 5. Portions are HUGE so be prepared to eat A LOT, have leftovers or share. Overall I would give them another chance, but I would probably try other items next time so I can conclude my rating in an update. Three stars for now just because the entree items themselves could be a little bit better. Like I said in the beginning not bad but not the best I've had either where first experiences are concerned. read more

Our go to Chinese restaurant here! Friendly service, quick and affordable. We always get the dinner combinations! Sesame Chicken and Mongolian beef. All their combos come with rice, soup, crab Rangoon and a chicken eggroll. They give you so much food I always split them into two meals! This place is almost 20m away from our home but we try to order take out as we can. We go here for their salt and Pepper pork and Westlake BF soup - it's the only Chinese place we'd been to in Chandler/Gilbert/Tempe that has this soup. Their Pan Fried noodles and Honey Walnut Prawns were good as well.... Get ready to take a nap after eating though cause they very likely use MSG... maybe that's why the food is good. read more

Ordered takeout and picked it up on time. The wonton soup was good, however the Pot stickers and sesame chicken was rubbery. The chicken was dry and everything was just soggy and not very flavorful. For spending $60 on takeout I'm really disappointed and feel like I wasted my money. I called them and told them I'd like a refund.
