Ordered a takeout for Thanksgiving Dinner. Food was ready on time. We like all that we ordered, not greasy and the price is reasonable.

Overall I had a great experience here. Looking at the menu at first glance I thought the food was a tad pricy compared to other Chinese places. However, the portions are very generous and the food was flavorful. Which makes it well worth the price. I enjoyed everything that I ordered. Inside is quite small not really much seating so I would suggest take out. The service was great as well. The food is so delicious. They have the best Mapo Tofu in the Valley and I have tried so many restaurants. I drive 20 minutes to this restaurant even though there are many Chinese restaurants nearby. The owner is so friendly and knows me when I call to make my take-out order. This restaurant only has a couple of tables so it is primarily for take-out. They are busy so I recommend making a phone order. read more

This is a very small restaurant with one table for 4 people to eat in and a bench to sit and wait for to go orders. Got here around 11:45AM and there was a good stream of customers placing orders to go. While waiting I noticed they have a section selling chopsticks, and they even had children's Disney chopsticks. We waited about 20 minutes for our food and though we only ordered 2 dishes, it felt very heavy. Instead of their lunch specials, we ordered a couple of regular entrees. I thought General Tso Chicken was ok. I liked it wasn't very sweet and breading was minimal. You could actually taste big chunks of chicken. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the Beef Lo Mein at all. I immediately smelled and tasted old oil which was very off putting and was very bland. I love vegetables and was disappointed with how little there was. Hubs even commented about the lack of vegetables. The portions are huge and we could only finish about a third. They give you a ton of food and the prices are lower than other Chinese restaurants around here. Service was also good. The question I always ask myself is would I return for their food and sadly the answer is no. read more

WOK THIS WAY The food got me to TALK THIS WAY because of how delicious it is. The lunch specials are such a great deal they got me to Run DMC over during my breaks from work. The food is cooked fresh at a big portion, served with an eggroll and crab puff on the side. The prices are so cheap for the quality of these plates it's unbelievable in today's economy. The lunch specials are comprised of their Americanized Chinese dishes, nevertheless, they are tasty. I'll just give it a Chef Kiss, Ooh a-like this! There are traditional authentic Chinese dishes available too on what seems to be a secret menu, which you will just have to be able to communicate in Chinese to order. I have not ventured to try them yet but I see plenty of ethnic patrons carrying out stacks of their catering trays of food. For a non-speaking Twinkie, a.k.a. banana, like myself, who likes authentic Chinese food but doesn't know a lick of the language, I wish there were pictures with English to describe the authentic dishes. I would probably be going there more if they did. The funny thing is that they sell little trinkets and novelty items too. So shop while you wait. LOL One thing you should know is that there is no dine-in availability. Wok-ins not accepted (unless it is to-go)! Ha! It is carryout or delivery only. Review update, and sadly, some criticism. Been coming here for years, our favorite Chinese takeout. This time, disappointed. Beef chow mein, some of the beef rather chewy, not as good quality as previous visits. Giant egg rolls, smaller, with more roll and less filling. Kinda tasteless. Wife's chicken lo mein not as good as in past times. Less chicken, less flavor. Crab puffs tasted....off. A bit greasy, maybe an oil issue. And lastly, they forgot the white rice that comes with the entree. Hopefully this was just a bad day. We have driven 40 minutes to get here, and if today was an indication of Future standards, we're eating closer to home. read more

We wanted to find a good Chinese food takeout location and we found Wok with Ming. We ordered on their website because it was more convenient for us. We ordered a small Hot and Sour Soup ($2.50), a Mongolian Beef ($13.38) (substituted rice for Lo Mein ($3.50)), a Honey Walnut Shrimp ($16.38) (substituted rice for Lo Mein ($3.50)), an Eggplant Garlic Sauce ($11.38) (substituted rice for Fried Rice ($2.50)), and a Black Pepper Chicken ($13.38) (substituted rice for Fried Rice ($2.50)). It was a lot of food but we were hungry. We arrived to pick up our takeout order. They were just finishing up our order so we waited a few minutes. The food looked and smelled good. The Hot and Sour Soup was good and very close if not exactly how I remembered it at other restaurants. The Mongolian Beef was delicious, the Honey Walnut Shrimp was not bad, the Eggplant Garlic Sauce was good, and the Black Pepper Chicken was delicious. The Lo Mein and Fried Rice were both okay to me. I would recommend any of those items if you needed recommendations. Great place for food and I will be back in the future to try other things on the menu. read more

First look you wouldn't think it would be tasty behind door number 1. But, you should definitely enter !!! It's definitely more of a take out type of Chinese restaurant, but there are a few tables to sit at. Ordered the Orange chicken which was fantastic. Came with a side cup of sauce which was just a tad spicey enough to taste flavor. Also ordered the Mongolian beef, absolutely by far the best beef I've tasted at a Chinese restaurant. Highly recommend!!!!. Had the typical fried rice, which, was typically cooked . Overall outside of cluttered looking restaurant the food is by far very recommended. The egg rolls were different than I'm used to which was surprising and cool. They're like a tempura fried egg roll. They were yummy. The dishes were tasty and made fresh to order. Let me start out by saying this place has authentic Cantonese food. It's not on the menu, you have to call and ask! But typically things like roast duck, ma po tofu, crispy skin roast pork, ginger chicken.. It is also currently TAKE OUT ONLY. As for the Americanized Chinese food, the chicken noodle soup was pretty bland. But their egg rolls are on another level. They're MASSIVE! The crust is completely different from a normal fried egg roll, they're amazing. The ingredients used in the egg rolls are clearly fresh and taste great. You can tell these are made with care. Upon entering one of the first things I noticed is the music is incongruous. Definitely not Chinese, and somehow it just didn't fit. Minor, but as I said I noticed pretty quickly. The decor is OK. Nicer table and chairs, and booths, and it "felt" like a Chinese restaurant (except for the music). We ordered Kung Pao chicken, chicken curry, and chicken soup. The Kung Pao chicken was weak. It was missing the flavor (and heat) of the Thai peppers. I don't like it scorching, but the peppers add a definite flavor that was lacking. Maybe 2 or 2.5 stars. The curry chicken was hotter than the Kung Pao, and tasted better too. It was a good yellow curry. I would rate that 4-stars. Though we couldn't taste the chicken. I don't know if they boiled it or what, but the chicken was a flavorless protein. Also with the chicken soup I couldn't really taste chicken. In fact, that was by far the poorest performance. It tasted like slightly salty water. Very weak. I would not order that again. 1-star Egg drop soup (included with the lunch special) was pretty good. Definitely more flavorful than the chicken soup. Another case where I wish I could rate 2.5 stars. I can't see myself going to three this time. "I've experienced better" is accurate. I don't really have any desire to go back. read more

My son and I were craving Chinese food so we decided to try Wok with Ming. We order the honey walnut chicken, orange beef and Ming special egg rolls. The honey walnut sauce was smooth and creamy and the chicken was of good quality. The orange beef tasted good by itself and I like the fact that they separated the orange sauce so the beef is not soaked with the sweet sauce and I can control how much I put on. The Ming special egg rolls are huge and are really good. This place doesn't look like much from the outside but the food we ordered was really good. I will definitely go back!!! read more

I ordered ahead online and when I got there at my pickup time, they looked up my order and then fired it for the kitchen...so I had to wait 15 minutes in a dank lobby with children running around into and out of the kitchen. What's the point of having online ordering if you don't process the order until I arrive??? The food itself was very ample...one plate weighed about 3 lbs but unfortunately the serving size was the only decent thing about it. This restaurant is in a convenient location and I was in the mood for some asian fast food. When I walked in I felt like a truck smashed me in the face called the awful smell big rig. I've only smelled a worse restaurant smell at the Woochu Buffet on Signal Butte in Mesa. I was just in the lobby but it was dirty enough to persuade me to leave right away. After frequenting another local Chinese restaurant in Gilbert for the past bunch of years, we decided to give Wok with Ming a go after seeing the great reviews. Really glad we did! We ordered Black Pepper Chicken (REALLY good!), the Ming Special Fried Rice (no peas), and Chicken w/Broccoli (excellent!). We ordered online for pickup. Next time, I'll probably call ahead to confirm when the order will be ready. I had to wait for 15 - 20 minutes after arriving on time for my order because they were swamped. BTW, when ordering online for Take Out, you're forced to add a tip to your order (at least 10%) which seems to miss the point of what a tip is meant to be: optional and earned. Paying a tip before you've experienced the service makes me feel that a tip is required no matter the quality of the service or good quality. I think I'll order by phone next time. read more
