General Tso's Lunch
Scott S.

The lunch special of General Tso's chicken with pork friend rice, a spring roll & egg drop soup for $13.50. Excellent!!! A solid 9.5/10.

Moon China Bistro is a family owned restaurant that we frequent often. The restaurant is always clean and the staff is always friendly. The food is consistent in quality and is always fresh and good. They offer takeout and eat-in dining.

House Kung Pao Lunch with Pork Fried Rice. No carrots or peas. Add Bean Sprouts. The way it should be.

Better than average. We probably eat here once a week. Almost always for lunch. One of the better deals around. The food tends to be consistently good and occasionally very good. The egg roll like most places in Phoenix is bland but at least crispy. Some dishes are better than others and if you go often enough you'll probably find your own favorite. Most people I go with like the Kung Pao. My son likes the Singapore Noodles with Shrimp. I used to get the Kung Pao shrimp but now I get the House King Pao so I can get shrimp, chicken and beef. Sometimes we order the sweet and sour shrimp without the sauce. If you order the shrimp appetizer you get crummy breaded shrimp for $7 but if you get the sweet and sour shrimp they are battered and crunchy. You also get an extra egg roll, Rangoon and fried rice you can either eat there or take home for later. And a soup as well. Yeah, it's a few bucks more but it's worth it. Nothing better than left over fried rice late at night. And you get enough where if your a normal adult you won't need a large dinner.

Fried rice and shrimp Chop suey!!

Just got a lunch to go Shrimp chop suey with fried rice. The lady that took my order was great. I love the spring roll and wonton. The chop suey and fried rice lack flavor. But I will definitely go back and try another lunch special. Plenty of large shrimp too

Sesame beef lunch combo

I am give 5 stars for a few reasons... #1 the sesame beef! Omg... I have been looking for years (more than I am willing to admit because clearly I am obsessed) for sesame beef that was like what we ate when I was a kid visiting my Dad in GA. It seemed like it was a normal menu item at Chinese restaurants in GA but here in AZ, not so much. Well my search is over. I found it and it did not disappoint. The fried rice, egg roll and crab puff that came with the lunch combo were pretty basic. Nothing out of this world like the sesame beef. #2 reason for 5 stars, cost. I got this lunch combo, which fed me for two meals, for $10. Without saying the fast food establishment near this restaurant that I ate at a few days ago that cost me $13 (wtf!?), you can't beat the quality and cost of getting your lunch here. Lastly, the service was great and you can't beat that either.

My go-to Chinese place in the area. Small family run restaurant. Food is real solid and the staff is friendly.

We were also very happy with the value that we got for our food. We ordered a Kung Pao Chicken lunch special, a Chicken and Vegetable lunch special, and the Golden Fried Prawns appetizer. They have lunch specials that are from 11am-3pm Tuesday-Friday and are amazing. The entrees coming with an egg roll and soup or a salad (which were also both amazing). The service was spectacular. They kept our waters full and never kept us waiting. The food also came out exceptionally quick and they were happy to answer any questions. Lastly, the ambiance is great. They have nightly entertainment and comfortable seating that make this the perfect outing. There is plenty of light and it is the nice casual vibe for lunch or dinner. If you are looking for a new restaurant, this is for sure one to try.

We thought the salt and pepper pork was too dry or overcooked. And it doesn't seem fair to rate general Tso as it's a fried dish and by the time you eat it 40 minutes later, it's not crispy anymore. It was pretty good as we threw it in the air fryer to crisp it up. The staff was friendly and our food was ready in about 12 minutes. I can see why this place is popular.

For starters, this is a review specifically for the DoorDash version of kung fu noodles. I actually…read morejust realized that I'm not even sure if this is the correct location but since I live in Gilbert, I'm going to assume this was the one that was delivered to me. Either way, The food we received was the bomb.com! We were hanging out and watching movies on a Saturday while my lady was nursing a bit of a cold. She wanted something in the chicken noodle soup family, and after a bit of back-and-forth, we decided to look for Ramen or pho. Now that's where the start started, but that's clearly not where it ended. After a couple of different searches, we found kung fu noodle And simply picked it based on a combination of the pictures, the reviews and the fact that they have several noodle soup options that looked really appealing. Ultimately, we ended up ordering the spicy beef noodle soup, and the house special noodle soup along with their dumplings, crab Rangoon's and fried rice. Now, usually I skip straight to the review of the food at this point, but I have to give them one additional compliment. This place goes the extra mile in terms of making sure the delivery experience is Extra level. Starting with their packaging, which, for someone who is infatuated with great design, they really do a great job of driving home the full brand experience! Not only were the package is aesthetically, pleasing and artistic in some cases, but they were also very functional as well with all of the plastic containers having sealed lids that had to be broken open for the first time by us. This was just extra assurance that our food wasn't tampered with on the ride from the restaurant to the house. In addition, the food was extremely fresh and hot, even the crab Rangoon's, which in some cases can be delivered with that wet, gummy effect because of the steam and condensation that accumulates inside of many of the take-home containers that you receive from most Asian food places. I wouldn't argue that this is the kind of containers that you would necessarily keep around as home Tupperware, but the bag that they sent everything in definitely feels like it's gotta reuse or two in it. Overall, we were really happy with the quality of the food as both Soups were portion wise enough for two consecutive days of meals. Same thing with the fried rice, which was really good We got the shrimp version and it had plenty of shrimp and veggies in addition to really fresh rice. Lastly, while I'm not specifically a dumpling guy, I decided to try these because the pictures looked really good on the website. And I can't lie, these were definitely really Good dumplings. Overall, we are looking forward to trying to spot out in person, but if we have to order again before we make it in person, that's what it is going to be!

Overall a very average takeout style spot. There is seating indoors, but you'll be given takeout…read morestyle containers when served. This does make it a little easier to take any leftovers to go because you can grab a lid later. The inside is very clean. You likely won't see too many other guests eating in as most get takeout. Service is frank and prompt. Ever since some of our favorite long time local hand pulled noodle places closed over the years, my partner and I have been on the search for any kind of replacement. Unfortunately, Kung Fu Noodles does not live up to that for us. You have to approach this restaurant with takeout in mind. Portion sizing is pretty generous. The food itself is very okay. With so many other takeout places to compete in the area, my partner and I likely won't return.
