This place is conveniently located inside Ranch 99 Market with lots of variety of ready to eat Chinese food. Their hanging roast ducks will definitely catch your eyes and they also sell crispy pork and char siu. They also have hot entrees with rice and noodles, bento style hot boxes, and Chinese donuts. I usually stop by after grocery shopping and have tried their braised pork belly, chicken sticky rice wrapped in bamboo leaves and shrimp dumplings. Pork belly was ok but nothing special. Sticky rice was pretty tasty with a lot of chicken. The shrimp dumplings were not very fresh but fine for a quick dim sum. They even have happy hour from 2pm - 7pm and the selected dim sum is only $3.99. Everyone I've encountered here has been very kind. Finally I was able to try this place! Highly recommend going early because they run out fast. The female employee was very nice and competent but I felt bad because the line was so long. It seemed like there was available additional employees in the back who could have helped with the wait. She was kind and was able to call our people who tried to cut in line. The area is clean. Great convenient spot for lunch or dinner especially to stop yourself from grocery shopping hungry. I haven't had their items to go but the hubby and i got a 2 side and 3 side plate each and man, that was a ton of food. We honestly could've shared a 3 side plate and would've been plenty full. Half noodles, half fried rice is always the move. Sides? Whatever strikes your fancy! The portion sizes are ample and just go for whatever strikes your fancy! This shop at the food court of 99 Ranch Market is on the farthest side from the entrance when you walk in. While the huge lit up sign above the shop says Hot Deli, the name on the menu says it's Asian Gourmet Kitchen. They offer a plethora of options such as Chinese style breakfast, dim sum, combo plates, and BBQ meats. There was a bit of a wait to order since there was only one person on staff for the entire shop chopping the BBQ meat, plating, and being the cashier. I attempted my best broken Mandarin here in ordering lol. The person at the counter spoke both English and Mandarin so it wasn't a big deal that I only knew a handful of words. Hey it's a start in attempting a convo in a different language. We got some congee, hot soymilk, a yóutiáo/Chinese donut, and a combo plate with fried rice, eggplant and marinated wheat gluten. The yóutiáo was really good. It was crisp with a soft interior. When dipped in the hot soymilk it reminded me of eating breakfasts in Taiwan. The congee was also spot on. The consistency was perfect and well seasoned. It had chopped up century eggs in it. The combo plate was delicious and it was pretty filling. 5-26 updating review after second try. +1 still as they are still figuring things out with soft opening. I went back the second day to get the popular Chinese bbq. I got a mix of char siu and duck. The char siu, large portion of rice, and veggies on the side was great. The duck however was... Well hard for me to properly review as all I got were bone and neck pieces. Flavor and skin were definitely there and fatty. I'll try again another day but is quite expensive if all I'm getting are bones to gnaw on. --- Quick counter serve Chinese food ranging from dim sum to bbq roast pork/duck and char siu. We had the noodles/rice with pork spare ribs, eggplant, and fish. We also got a side of har gow. In total it was about 15 bucks and was a lot of food for 2 people. Will definitely order from again. After We moved in Chandler was so exciting the Ranch Market food court, but after we tried the Chinese food court 4 times the food was terrible , the fish fillet like add lots club soda make it's tender and taste like a piece fat meat and bitter and most food was deep fried , the beef with broccoli, flavor was good but the beef taste like fish too read more

Better than expected! It's part of 99 ranch's food court. But the supermarket is new and doesn't have that much people which improved the eating experience. The 油條 (Chinese donut) weren't that great, not fluffy enough and more like a bread stick. 豆漿(Soy milk) were pretty good. 糯米雞 (sticky rice chicken) was decent and 鹹水角 was good. It was inexpensive and a much better experience than going to a local dim sum restaurant where you have to fight traffic and get also mediocre dim sum. read more

Checked out Hot Deli today at the soft opening at 99 Ranch Market! Wide variety of Chinese BBQ. Half orders of Chicken/duck are $13.99 and $24.99 for full order! My friend bought food many times here and food is quite good. Today I stopped by first time and they were closed, around 7:30pm. The guy who has curly hair, look like Idian(might wrong) was very rude when I asked him if still open or no, he yelled at me "we're closed" and got engry. Checked this place out a few times hoping things would get better but the service is poor and the meats are mediocre. We tried the roast pork and it was very fatty and the meat itself tasted bland. We also tried the roast duck another time and thought it was okay, better than the roast pork. But honestly the workers looked annoyed when taking our order and were rude to the customer in front of us when she kindly asked if there was sauce for the meats. Been here a few times since 99 ranch opened. Love this Chinese bbq spot. They serve dim sum all day, I don't think it's the best but definitely great for a quick lunch. The star here is the bbq duck, roast pork And char siu for me. I think this duck is my favorite now in az. ADDICTINGLY GOOD!
