I should've listened to my own advice and order the generals chicken with an egg roll. It was my first time, dining here, and I threw caution into the wind. I totally got burned this was. By far the worst, worst Chinese food ever! Paid $32 for garbage. I should've just taken that money and burned it I placed the order. They told me 10 to 15 minutes. It would be ready. I picked it up, brought it home only to find that it had been sitting for a very long time like it was someone else's order and they didn't pick it up so they decided to give it to me. I've been craving good salt and pepper tofu and it's surprisingly hard to find in my area for delivery. I actually thought I was ordering delivery this time, but it turned out to be a pickup order -- not ideal, but luckily the restaurant is less than 15 minutes from home. The tofu itself was delicious -- crisp, flavorful, and nicely spiced. I like salty food (probably my Russian side showing), though my German boyfriend thought it was a little too salty for his taste. I really enjoyed the heat from the jalapeños -- just enough to add a kick without overpowering the dish. Even though I was bummed about the pickup mix-up, my order was ready when I arrived. The staff member was friendly and even mentioned I hadn't selected a rice option, so they went ahead and added one for me -- a small gesture that made a big difference. My sister and I visited this little Asian diner for the first time last weekend. We were really impressed! It seemed like they do a lot of takeout orders, but they had a nice amount of seating in the restaurant as well, which we took them up on. The cashier doubled as our server and he was wonderful. I ordered the sesame chicken and my sister had the orange chicken. We were both given huge servings and at a reasonable price. The flavors were great and everything was hot and fresh. Fast service but the Kung Pao chicken was VERY salty and the sauce just tasted horrible. Didn't even taste like normal kung pao should. . Not sure what recipe they used but it was gross. Worst kung pao ever. I threw the rest out, instead of saving it for leftovers. I was starving so I ate half but I'll never go here again. I want to go back and let them know but it's far from me. :(. Such a great spot for both lunch or dinner! Each time I've frequented this restaurant, the food is always delicious and portions are very generous. I love that they offer lunch specials thru the weekend. Lunch is served with an egg roll and fried rice is $2 extra. My go to is the Mongolian Beef. Very tender & flavorful served with a good amount of meat and love the mushrooms! My only complaint is the pricing. My lunch total with fried rice is almost $13, which seems more like dinner pricing to me. The restaurant is small & clean and offers a few high top table as well as booths. The seaweed salad portion was ample and delightfully cold ., with lots of sesame seeds sprinkled on top... perfect on a hot spring day! This place is amazing. If you read a bad review it is not true. The staff is super nice and very attentive to details. I order two appetizers and within 5mim one came out after the other, hot fresh off the stove. Shortly after my chicken pad Thai and orange chicken with fried rice came out hot and ready to enjoy. On this particular evening, I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, General's Chicken, and Crispy Pot Stickers. If you order the pad thai because you want delicious noodles, you'll get some delicious noodles. With that said, it tastes nothing like pad thai. Where's the tamarind!? The General's Chicken was really good though and the Pot Stickers were delicious. I think I'll probably just stick with the Chinese food options here. 3.5 stars but I'll round up! Our first time and last time here. The restaurant nice and clean and good atmosphere, good customer service however the food not so good. We ordered three different entrées, sweet-and-sour pork , Asian shrimp , Thai basil, beef .white rice, fried rice, crab, puffs, spring rolls. Our bill was 55.00 plus 1. Had this a few weeks back when we were on a quest for delicious crispy egg rolls. Saw the reviews and the option for chicken egg rolls OR handmade chicken egg rolls. We got suckered into the up charge for "homemade". I guess I assume that egg rolls are all homemade in Chinese restaurants ‍ We also ordered cashew chicken and sweet/sour pork. I had a rare craving for chicken lo mein and was satisfied by Dragon Express. Also in our order was minced chicken with lettuce wraps, crispy pot stickers, fried rice, orange peel chicken, and spicy Korean pork. The minced chicken with lettuce wraps was comparable to PF Chang's; probably the best thing in our order. The crispy pot stickers were good, but tbh it's hard to mess up pot stickers. My assumption is that they are frozen pot stickers and heated up but I cannot confirm. My brother ordered the orange peel chicken. It was battered, fried, and covered in orange sauce. It was more batter than chicken, but that's not uncommon for orange chicken. The fried rice was your typical fried rice, good, solid. The Korean pork we ordered the spiciest level possible and it was NOT spicy. My brother notoriously cannot eat anything even remotely spicy (regular hot cheetos are "too" spicy for him) and he tried it and confirmed, not spicy. Trust me when I say it means a lot when he can eat it. Overall, Dragon Express is good to satisfy a craving but doesn't necessarily hit the spot. read more
