Recommendation: Yes you got to try it if you haven't been. Food: everything is really good. My favorite is the Thai one. Service: great, usually available when you need something. Tip: if you go during lunch time, they offer free tea (cold black/green tea) What's new: they have a new soup! Spicy pickled mustard green fish! What we ordered: Thai and the spicy picked green fish soup! Both were excellent. They gave a generous amount of fish and the flavors were always consistent and spot on. It's definitely one of my top favorite spots. I hope they can expand toward Chandler/gilbert area.

I arrived at the perfect time and got my food fairly quick. The servers were friendly and helpful. They had a new menu item and I love Suan Cai Yu so I had to try this. It was super tasty and had tons of chunks of fish in there. I got medium spice and it wasn't really spicy at all. I wish I would have bumped up the spice level for this one. But overall very tasty and had the flavors I wanted. Overall I will definitely be returning and ordering this pot again. I have tried different tasty pot in California and this location tastes just as great. I got the Sichuan Flavor Hot Soup, this is a Larger pot, best for 2 people to share. Tip: you can refill the general broth for free. Since this flavor is already strong, even when I refilled the general broth I can still taste the original flavor. I love all the toppings in this pot especially the fried tofu cubes. I got Medium spicy level, which is spicier compared to the Medium spicy of the Beef hotpot. I alway get the black tea with milk cream here. Tasty pot literally has the best black tea with cream! Trust me you won't regret it! Get it half sweet. I usually get the Beef and the Kimchi Dumpling if I eat solo! 10/10 recommend. Service is always great, the workers are always polite!

We ordered 3 different dishes to share and try. Surprisingly I liked all 3 for different reasons. We had the beef, miso and Kimchee flavored broth. The service is quick and they kept refilling the soup base. Food came out rather quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a small, clean shop within the Mekong Plaza.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Super convenient if you want to shop before or afterwards.

Mild Sa Cha flavor beef hot pot
    Janet L.

Granted it a weekday, what a surprise for not having to wait for a table at the heart dinner time! I ordered this Sa Cha flavor for the first time and I actually liked it more than the spicy Thai style soup base I had last time. The beef was as tender as before. I was so tempted to finish the whole pot, but I realized that I can go home for a round two dinner by keeping a little bit of concreted broth!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It definitely got busier by 7:30pm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were in and out in 90 minutes. Minimum service required as always. The QR code ordering is easy to use. Glad to have seen a server helping a couple who doesn't know how to use QR code to order with pen and paper. Good accommodation!

Lives up to its name and you will still feel good an hour later. Love how it's served boiling hot and ready to eat.

Our first hot pot experience was a success! My parents were thoroughly impressed and they are the most critical Chinese parents! For our party of 6, we shared 4 hot pots, but we could have done 3, as recommended (2 adults/hot pot). The bowls range in price from $18-24. We tried the beef, kimchi dumpling, thai, and seafood lobster. You customize your spice level (none, mild, medium, spicy, and flaming spicy). Lastly, you pick your carb. I believe each bowl already comes with vermicelli, so the carb is extra on the side. We chose rice, vermicelli, and instant ramen. I preferred the rice since the vermicelli needs to soak in the soup to soften. Our favorite was the spicy beef bowl. It was the right amount of spice but my husband and I will probably try flaming spicy on our next visit! My dad was impressed with all of the seafood (lobster, shrimp, fish, mussel, octopus, clam, cuttlefish, fishball, lobster ball) in the seafood lobster hot soup. You can get your soup topped off during your meal, which we did several times. We were so full! It was a fun dining experience.

Mhh soup always hits the spot, I love when my soup is refilled. My all time favorite is the beef hot soup. The taro, corn, and beef are my favorite in it. The perfect soup to go with rice on the side. Also shared the Thai seafood hot pot and I have to say it's not my favorite. The lemon grass over powers it and just isn't pleasant to me at all. It does include a variety of seafood for the seafood lovers! Getting mild or medium wasn't spicy at all. I did enjoy it with their hot chilli oil that we asked for on the side! It is a must for me now!!

My favorite hot pot spot in AZ. I always go for the Thai-flavored broth which is packed with flavor, comforting, and super filling. It comes with either white rice or vermicelli. Pair it with their house-made dipping sauces (seriously, chef's kiss) and you've got a perfect meal. The sauces elevate meats to veggies with just the right kick. It does get busy during lunch and dinner rush, but I've never had to wait long. Once seated, you scan a QR code to order, which keeps things quick and easy. Pro tip: Go during lunch. They offer complimentary tea with your order, which is a nice little bonus. Service is always fast and attentive. The staff checks in often for water refills or extra broth, which I really appreciate. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is on the smaller side and tucked inside Mekong Plaza, but don't let that fool you, this place is a gem.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you love hot pot, this spot should definitely be on your radar.

They don't do substitutions and every single menu item has seafood in the pot other than the veggie pot... NOT very accommodating for people who can't eat seafood, they told me I would have to remove the items if I didn't want it.

I really wanted some soup, I should have googled their menu first, instead of just walking in lol. Don't get me wrong this place was good, but I'm not a fish in soup kind of guy. I also probably got one of the hotter soup bowls and I'm not a spicy guy . But I tried it anyways and did my best. The soup was good, with a free bowl of rice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place was packed so it must be good![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But every bowl has "fish something" in it.

    Francis C.

Favorites here are the kimchi dumpling and the cheesy milk. I've tried a few and those ones are always great. The service here is super quick and they refill your broth if you need. The servers here are so nice and attentive, always happy to take my questions. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience was cozy, clean, and they play good music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Ask the Community - Tasty Pot

Do they have beer? And if not.. can we bring our own?

No they don't have alcohol, and you can't bring your own unfortunately

    What are the Vegan options?

Doubt any. The broth have some sort of meats or eggs or fish flavoring in it.

Are they still open for business? Phone number is not working anymore!

Yes, they are open. Not sure about the phone but we were just there last weekend.

Do you have any vegan options?

Yes they do have two types of vegan options, they are the Thai and tomato flavor veggie hot soups

When do you stop accepting customers before closing time? We came in at 8:35pm. That's 25 mins before closing time. Even your sign said 'OPEN. Come in'. However, they didn't take us.

I'm just a customer so I don't know what their official policy is but it takes about 20 minutes for them to make your food after you order so that wouldn't be enough time.…

    Are there any non-seafood options?

Yes! There's one with meat and there's a vegetarian option as well. They have many different style pots!

Anybody know if they're open for takeout?

I was at the Grocery store next to it last week and it was closed.

Is it all u can eat?

No, it is not all you can eat. It is individualized hot pot.

What does the Thai option for the broth taste like?

Like Tom Yum, which is a shrimp flavored with lemongrass hot and sour soup.

    Vegan or vegetarian options?

    Yes

They offer a sort of cook-it-yourself experience where you order up to two kinds of broths, and they bring them to you in a large pot that goes over your tabletop grill. You receive meats from your server, and have access to a self-serve bar of vegetables, noodles, seafood, and spices. Because it is so customizable you can really experiment with flavors and come up with some delightful combinations. I was a big fan of the brisket and octopus in the spicy broth, and my fiancée enjoyed the pork belly in the sweet broth. Both pots also complemented each other quite well! My favorite part of the ambiance was the privacy curtains. Because tables are all next to each other I imagine it would be easy to see what other diners are doing, but the curtains add a sense of privacy that made us feel like we were almost dining alone. Our service was also excellent. We had several people working in the restaurant come by during the meal to make sure we had all the broth, water, and meats that we wanted. Definitely try Jin Shabu! It is delicious and well worth the money spent!

After that, you grab a plate and head to the buffet where you can load up on vegetables, noodles, seafood, and so many other options. They have a huge seafood selection, which is one of my favorite parts. There's also a station where you can make your own dipping sauce exactly how you like it, plus a little dessert section with cookies to finish off your meal. The atmosphere is super laid back, making it a great spot to stop by after work without feeling like you need to dress up. They had the World Cup playing on some TVs and anime on others, which made the vibe even more fun. My only downside was their pricing.
