Sichuan Flavor Hot Soup
Ai T.

I have tried different tasty pot in California and this location tastes just as great. I got the Sichuan Flavor Hot Soup, this is a Larger pot, best for 2 people to share. Tip: you can refill the general broth for free. Since this flavor is already strong, even when I refilled the general broth I can still taste the original flavor. I love all the toppings in this pot especially the fried tofu cubes. I got Medium spicy level, which is spicier compared to the Medium spicy of the Beef hotpot. I alway get the black tea with milk cream here. Tasty pot literally has the best black tea with cream! Trust me you won't regret it! Get it half sweet. I usually get the Beef and the Kimchi Dumpling if I eat solo! 10/10 recommend. Service is always great, the workers are always polite!

We ordered 3 different dishes to share and try. Surprisingly I liked all 3 for different reasons. We had the beef, miso and Kimchee flavored broth. The service is quick and they kept refilling the soup base. Food came out rather quickly. It's a small, clean shop within the Mekong Plaza. Super convenient if you want to shop before or afterwards.

Mild Sa Cha flavor beef hot pot

Granted it a weekday, what a surprise for not having to wait for a table at the heart dinner time! I ordered this Sa Cha flavor for the first time and I actually liked it more than the spicy Thai style soup base I had last time. The beef was as tender as before. I was so tempted to finish the whole pot, but I realized that I can go home for a round two dinner by keeping a little bit of concreted broth!! It definitely got busier by 7:30pm. We were in and out in 90 minutes. Minimum service required as always. The QR code ordering is easy to use. Glad to have seen a server helping a couple who doesn't know how to use QR code to order with pen and paper. Good accommodation!

Mhh soup always hits the spot, I love when my soup is refilled. My all time favorite is the beef hot soup. The taro, corn, and beef are my favorite in it. The perfect soup to go with rice on the side. Also shared the Thai seafood hot pot and I have to say it's not my favorite. The lemon grass over powers it and just isn't pleasant to me at all. It does include a variety of seafood for the seafood lovers! Getting mild or medium wasn't spicy at all. I did enjoy it with their hot chilli oil that we asked for on the side! It is a must for me now!!

They don't do substitutions and every single menu item has seafood in the pot other than the veggie pot... NOT very accommodating for people who can't eat seafood, they told me I would have to remove the items if I didn't want it.

Our first hot pot experience was a success! My parents were thoroughly impressed and they are the most critical Chinese parents! For our party of 6, we shared 4 hot pots, but we could have done 3, as recommended (2 adults/hot pot). The bowls range in price from $18-24. We tried the beef, kimchi dumpling, thai, and seafood lobster. You customize your spice level (none, mild, medium, spicy, and flaming spicy). Lastly, you pick your carb. I believe each bowl already comes with vermicelli, so the carb is extra on the side. We chose rice, vermicelli, and instant ramen. I preferred the rice since the vermicelli needs to soak in the soup to soften. Our favorite was the spicy beef bowl. It was the right amount of spice but my husband and I will probably try flaming spicy on our next visit! My dad was impressed with all of the seafood (lobster, shrimp, fish, mussel, octopus, clam, cuttlefish, fishball, lobster ball) in the seafood lobster hot soup. You can get your soup topped off during your meal, which we did several times. We were so full! It was a fun dining experience.

My favorite hot pot spot in AZ. I always go for the Thai-flavored broth which is packed with flavor, comforting, and super filling. It comes with either white rice or vermicelli. Pair it with their house-made dipping sauces (seriously, chef's kiss) and you've got a perfect meal. The sauces elevate meats to veggies with just the right kick. It does get busy during lunch and dinner rush, but I've never had to wait long. Once seated, you scan a QR code to order, which keeps things quick and easy. Pro tip: Go during lunch. They offer complimentary tea with your order, which is a nice little bonus. Service is always fast and attentive. The staff checks in often for water refills or extra broth, which I really appreciate. The restaurant is on the smaller side and tucked inside Mekong Plaza, but don't let that fool you, this place is a gem. If you love hot pot, this spot should definitely be on your radar.

Beef hot pot, with lotus root

This was amazing!!! First time at this spot. A little confusing ordering from QR code. We couldn't verify our phone number we kept getting the verification code after it timed out, but the waitress was able to take our order. We ordered the following: - beef hot pot 9/10- so many vegetables, meats - lamb hot pot - 8/10 - didn't try increasing heat level would recommend. - lotus root - 7/10 - corn on the cob - 6/10 Tip: waitress offered additional broth. We received free green tea. We didn't need the additional add ons. Loved the water containers and you can adjust your flame level for heat. We will be returning.

I really wanted some soup, I should have googled their menu first, instead of just walking in lol. Don't get me wrong this place was good, but I'm not a fish in soup kind of guy. I also probably got one of the hotter soup bowls and I'm not a spicy guy . But I tried it anyways and did my best. The soup was good, with a free bowl of rice. This place was packed so it must be good! But every bowl has "fish something" in it.

Favorites here are the kimchi dumpling and the cheesy milk. I've tried a few and those ones are always great. The service here is super quick and they refill your broth if you need. The servers here are so nice and attentive, always happy to take my questions. The ambience was cozy, clean, and they play good music.

Great experience at Tasty Pot. The menu has a lot of options depending on what you're looking for with flavor and content. I personally enjoy the Szechuan flavor and this lived up to what I was looking for. The sichuan choice is a larger portion than their other choices and even the small ones is a lot to handle so keep that in mind you will probably have leftovers no matter what. I loved the variety of vegetables and meat and the flavor of the broth was exceptional. There are plenty of options to add additional meat/vegetables/noodles if you want. Service is quick and overall decent for the experience. Overall I would definitely recommend this for a hot pot experience!

Spicy Fermented Tofu

Wow! First time having Taiwanese hotpot and this place hits the spot. The flavors are excellent and you can customize the spicyness from none to hot. I went with mild this time but could try medium next time. Each pot has specific ingredients, but you can also customize it by removing or adding options. The Beef Hot Pot is delicious. The Stinky Tofu was also a unique dish to try. I had it on the side instead of inside my hot pot. I definitely recommend trying the food here!

This is a mom and pop place in a shopping center. It' doesn't cost much and is a good value to feed a big group. They have a variety of soups and we thought the Thai flavored broth was the best. They allowed us to sample a couple of the broths which was very nice of them. I am pretty sure they did it because they weren't very busy at the time and they could tell it was our first time eating there. So the service is very friendly. Make sure you sign in at the entrance inside the mall for a table. They don't have a sign-in on the street parking side. So we were standing around until we realized we needed to sign in for a table. This is important when they are busy.

Anybody know if they're open for takeout?

I was at the Grocery store next to it last week and it was closed.

No, it is not all you can eat. It is individualized hot pot.

Like Tom Yum, which is a shrimp flavored with lemongrass hot and sour soup.

Deliciousness -- 10/10 We ordered a bunch of snacks and I'm telling you right now, the deep-fried stuff is non-negotiable. The popcorn chicken is life-altering. My family is from Taiwan and so I was looking forward to coming here and giving it a try. Now granted, I am picky when it comes to Taiwanese food, so if not made right, you will know about it. We ordered the ground pork over rice and Taiwanese braised pork over rice combos. Both dishes were pretty good. I dont have high expectations here in Phoenix and I was pleasantly surprised! We also checked out their cold case and lots of comforting dishes like Taiwanese pickled cabbage, marinated pig ears, marinated seaweed and tofu gan. We got an order of the seaweed and tofu gan and it was good. Also had a boba tea to go and it was as expected. Boba was chewy like it should be and for $3.35, pretty good deal. Overall, the food was good and there is a specials daily menu by the cash register but its written in Chinese, so you probably need to ask the owner what specials they are having or bring me with you! When we came tonight there was eel over rice, 3 cups chicken over rice combo and papaya milk and green bean sweet soup. I'd definitely come back here again when Im in the mood for Taiwanese food but I would skip dining in. I felt like I was in some school cafeteria, zero ambiance. But the food was legit!
