Not a lot of choices on the menu but it's very authentic Taiwan food from I could tell! Mom and pop type of shop that have all the classics and pretty good boba tea in house so you could get both in one stop I really liked the beef roll with cilantro inside. The beef noodle soup is also good according to my husband. Only thing to note is that portions are pretty small here so you'd probably need multiple entrees per person.
This has been on my list for a long time to try and finally came in tonight for dinner. The place is very casual and frankly kind of dumpy but those are the best places for good authentic food! My family is from Taiwan and so I was looking forward to coming here and giving it a try. Now granted, I am picky when it comes to Taiwanese food, so if not made right, you will know about it. We ordered the ground pork over rice and Taiwanese braised pork over rice combos. Both dishes were pretty good. I dont have high expectations here in Phoenix and I was pleasantly surprised! We also checked out their cold case and lots of comforting dishes like Taiwanese pickled cabbage, marinated pig ears, marinated seaweed and tofu gan. We got an order of the seaweed and tofu gan and it was good. Also had a boba tea to go and it was as expected. Boba was chewy like it should be and for $3.35, pretty good deal. Overall, the food was good and there is a specials daily menu by the cash register but its written in Chinese, so you probably need to ask the owner what specials they are having or bring me with you! When we came tonight there was eel over rice, 3 cups chicken over rice combo and papaya milk and green bean sweet soup. I'd definitely come back here again when Im in the mood for Taiwanese food but I would skip dining in. I felt like I was in some school cafeteria, zero ambiance. But the food was legit!

We have been here many times but it's been a while. It was hopping tonight, so busy but the food was still quite fast. We had ground pork noodle soup, fried tofu and the Taiwanese pork bowl. It was very good. The portions were good size. We also had 2 drinks, a strawberry milk and a red bean snow. This is the only place that makes a good red bean drink! I love this small mom and pop place with authentic Taiwanese food.

There is a good amount of table seating if you choose to dine in and it's order at the counter style. Lots of drink options from milk teas to fruit teas to slushes. We've been a few times now and always get the popcorn chicken, absolute juicy and big chicken pieces. I love the portion sizes. The braised pork rice is also the perfect amount of umami and very tender with just the right amount of fattiness. Soup dumplings were good too but takes about 15 mins to get ready. The drinks are worth the price and the boba is nice a chewy.

My go to here is usually the popcorn chicken and Taiwanese pork combo and the papaya milk smoothie. I love the sauce that goes with the rice and also the brown tea egg, cabbage, tofu, and yellow pickled daikon. It makes a complete meal for me. The popcorn chicken is always a fun and flavorful snack to have. The beef roll is another classic that's delicious too. Recently they had a really good boneless pork chop. Tastes like the popcorn chicken. You can order most anything and it'll come out pretty fast. The staff are all so nice and work efficiently.

The beef noodle soup had great flavor, but the noodles were a bit too soft and soggy, and it only came with four slices of beef. The pork chop combo was decent. The pork chop itself was good, though slightly powdery and had a big bone in it. The pickled cucumber was tasty, but the simmered egg and tofu were bland and flavorless. Our favorite item was probably the beef roll. The sauce was delicious, but the portion was small and had very little beef inside. There's no real table service, you order at the counter, find your own seat, and they bring the food out to you. They'll clear the table afterward. There's a self-serve water station and to-go boxes available on the side, so you help yourself when you're ready.

I ordered a snack size and it ended up being way too much food for me on top of the ground pork soup. All super yummy! Next time I will instead get the chicken with rice meal. I come here exclusively for their fantastic pork chop rice combo! The pork is always crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The sides--steamed cabbage, pickled radish, and a perfectly seasoned egg--really complement the pork. You can even add an extra egg for about $1.50. The place has a homey vibe, with a TV playing a Taiwanese news channel. There's always a steady stream of Taiwanese customers.

Service was slow and they forgot about our orders, but they gave us fried squid balls while we wait for our items to come out. My favorite was the beef roll! It wasn't oily like other beef rolls I had before. Spicy beef tendon came in a togo container. After you order, they grab it from the fridge. Soup Dumplings were juicy, but the skin was thicker than I would like. Beef Noodle Soup broth was good. Popcorn chicken had a lot of breading. Many tables to choose from. Overall this place was okay.

They have many options to choose from. I ordered the pork chops combo which I really enjoyed. My son ordered popcorn chicken as an appetizer and the beef noodle soup as his entree. I had a taste of the popcorn chicken and was really good. Also the honeydew milk tea is really good. The lady at the cash register was pleasant and friendly. I would definitely go back to try other options.

We ordered two rice meals and a snack called fried fish cake, the food was very authentic! I liked the fried pork chop, they were flavorful and crispy on the outside, the pepper gave it a little bit of kick. The side of cabbage was okay, but there were an braised egg and tofu, really nostalgic. My husband went straight for the Taiwanese braised pork rice, and it was good too, the bowl was huge, and the pork was perfectly braised but not greasy. It also came with an egg and a tofu. The fried fish cake was good, crispy on the outside and a little bit chewy on the inside. The papaya milk was very refreshing, one of my favorite drink in Taiwan but hard to find in the States. The staff were friendly and the owner was hospitality. They have a lot of options that I'd like to come again and try. read more

You order at the counter, and while the staff is small, they're incredibly warm and welcoming. Despite that, our food came out surprisingly fast. The Taiwanese braised pork was unlike anything I've had before -- melt-in-your-mouth tender, almost buttery, with a rich, savory-sweet glaze that soaked into every bite. The portions were generous, more than enough to leave you full and satisfied. The coconut milk tea was the perfect finishing touch creamy, and just sweet enough. Honestly, if I hadn't been so busy stuffing my face with the pork, I would've chugged the whole cup. Overall, a fantastic experience great food, great portions, and genuinely lovely people running the place. read more

I love coming to yes cafe when I'm craving Taiwanese food. They have a large drink selection and I always opt for the avocado snow. They had a special pork chop combo which meant that there's no bone, so of course I had to try it. It was a huge portion and delicious. The owner is always friendly and had a basket of free oranges that smelled sweet. read more

Yes Cafe is a cozy, family-owned Taiwanese restaurant. You go up to the register to order and service yourself for utensils, napkins, etc. in the area to the left of the register. The owners and chefs are all really friendly too :) Their Taiwanese popcorn chicken is a must order. Both the meat and batter are incredibly flavorful and go super well with rice. It remains consistently good. For appetizers, my partner and I really enjoy to the Taiwanese sausage. Taiwanese sausage is a bit sweeter compared to other sausage styles, but it balances well with the savoriness of other dishes you may order. As I'm picky with my soup dumplings, I would say that they're a skip. They taste really similar to some store bought ones I've had. Their beef noodle soup used to be really good! The broth was so rich and flavorful and the meat was really tender. The attached photo in my review was their golden era for their beef noodle soup. You can see how deep and rich the soup was. However, the last time we ordered it, the broth was noticeably thinner, less flavored, and had very sad cuts of beef that were tough. So many restaurants end up like this with declining quality :( For drinks, there are a lot of fun options like the papaya drink that aren't typical at other boba shops. I wouldn't say it's the best boba, but it hits the spot when paired with Taiwanese food. I love to support local small business, so I would still recommend Yes Cafe for their Taiwanese popcorn chicken alone. If you're looking to branch out and try other Taiwanese dishes, the menu offers a good amount of authentic variety! read more

Looking for Taiwanese food in the Chandler area? This would be it. My fave is their beef roll! They have the beef noodle soup, popcorn chicken, braised pork rice dish and a ton of other dishes, appetizers, and a large variety of boba teas. Their plates are shaped like Taiwan. They have cute art made by the family members who own the restaurant. I have a few of their art from many years ago. Service is quick. If you order to go they will ask when you want it. I think 10-15 minutes is decent time for them to make the food. This place has become a staple in the recent past weeks. Yummy! read more

A hidden gem! I was happy to come across this Taiwanese cafe! It is hard to find Taiwanese food in Arizona, other than hot pot so I was excited to check this place out! We ordered beef noodle soup and the pork belly rice bowl. We also got the tofu with seaweed that was in the refrigerated section. They were all pretty solid! The broth was not too salty and not too bland. The meats were soft but the only down side would be there were quite a bit of fat around the meats. The pork belly rice bowl was very flavorful but the portion of meat was on the smaller side. A lot of rice on the bottom. We weren't quite full but didn't want to get full off of rice... Service was great, it looks like a family owned restaurant so not a lot of workers. I think they have certain items where they only make a certain number of batches so got to come earlier for those. ( not too sure what it is) but overall I think I would come back again! read more

We came here for boba and that's all I can comment on right now. They have a wide variety of milk, slush,fruit teas and more. The boba toppings were diverse and flavorful as well. I got the lychee tea with boba. The size, price and flavor were enjoyable. I would definitely go back again and try some food as well. read more

I've been here a few times now, the Taiwanese food is legit and it's been consistently good. You order up front, grab a seat and the owner will bring your food to you. Owner is always nice to us and our food is quick to come out! Cafe is clean and a good size. Tv is playing Taiwanese news and shows. There is a variety of snacks, appetizers, meals, and drinks on the menu. We've had the strawberry boba milk, popcorn chicken, Taiwanese braised pork rice combo, beef noodle soup, beef roll and pan friend noodles. All delish! One note about the pan fried noodles, it's not like the pan fried rice or egg noodles you see at Chinese restaurants, which is what I was expecting to see. Instead it was more like those vermicelli rice noodles we Filipinos use for pancit. Not a bad thing but I didn't want pancit because I made that the other day. Lols No biggie but just fyi if you order the pan fried noods. read more
A pretty small place and you probably need to wait a bit to order. Our fav here is the popcorn chicken. The kimchi fried tofu is great too. The braised pork with rice and ground pork with rice are OK but not impressive. We liked the boba tea we got, though I forgot to ask to have less sugar, a bit too sweet for me. read more

After traveling through the rural parts of Utah and Arizona, I can't tell you how happy I was to find Asian food, and on top of it - Taiwanese food! Everything hit the spot. It's a little "pricier" than what you might be used to in a bigger city such as NY or Philly Chinatown, but it's pretty much the only authentic Taiwanese in town, so I think it's fair! Everything we got was good. The boba was a good texture, and good flavor from the milk tea and pudding. The popcorn chicken was authentic, crispy - salty, savory, delicious and juicy on the inside. I enjoyed the beef noodle soup as well. I would definitely recommend Yes Cafe to anyone in the area, local or not! If you've never tried Taiwanese food, it is different than your average Chinese food restaurant, and this place is definitely authentic. The owner was very kind, and spoke both Mandarin and English. I would 100% go back if I was ever in this area again! read more

Authentic Taiwanese food is hard to come by. So when I saw this pop up on Yelp, I knew I had to check it out. The place has a casual, hole-in-the-wall sort of feel to it, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. They have a fairly big standard menu, as well as seasonal specials as well. I've tried a number of dishes here and most are very good. I highly recommend the beef noodle soup, marinated pig ears, Taiwanese fried chicken, and spicy beef tendons. A few items that I wish were on the menu include oyster omelet, three-cup chicken, and braised pork knuckles. Overall, I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the mood for some authentic Taiwanese cuisine. read more

Very Taiwanese!!! The staff was friendly. You can self-help the sauce, and the chili sauce was incredible! The room was big and clean. The plates were all Taiwan shape. It made you feel like you were in Taiwan. The smell was good. Fried tofu came along with a dipping sauce. It was so hot, watch out. The outside was hard and crunchy; the inside was soft and juicy. The popcorn chicken was so delicious; the taste was the same as the one in night markets. This is a must order!!! Ground Prok combo, the meat, and the sauce were perfect. Fried Sausage combo was all good. Stew Pork Feet combo had a strong ginger flavor, the one we got was a little meat. read more
