Ok I've eaten here so many times since they opened. However, I've only had their combo pho, brisket pho, spring rolls, and egg rolls. I get the same things over and over because I'm obsessed with their pho! Everytime it's the same deal: fresh fresh fresh!! You don't get rubbery overcooked reheated meat, you get fresh onion, green onion, bean sprout, lime wedge (with juice) etc, and the broth is amazing! I do love that they're open at 9am and I can have pho for breakfast on a chilly morning. And right now with a purchase of $20 or more, you get a ticket to possibly be the winner to an ounce of gold giveaway. That would be an awesome win! Plenty of parking! Seating availability is limited. Service is pretty quick! Otherwise it's worth going or taking it to go!
Staff was very friendly and restaurant was clean and clean welcoming. Unfortunately, the food was not very flavorful compared to other Phó spots I have tried. But not bad for a neighborhood Vietnamese restaurant! I will say, their homemade chili oil was very tasty and spicy (but I love spice!)
My friend and I was headed this way to get grocery but I was starving and I was craving Asian food haha. Stopped in to grab food, only until I walked in did I realize it was a Vietnamese restaurant. My friend and I both ordered the A Ma's favorite pho. Mind you it's hot as hell and I usually refuse to eat hot food on a hot day but I was visiting and eating everything but Asian food. The broth was sooo delicious. Loved the depth of it and it wasn't overly sweet. The serving size was so huge. I was curious about their Bo kho so maybe I'll try it next time I visit.

You can see them simmering the broth in the front, which always adds a great atmosphere to the restaurant. Workers here are super friendly and helpful in explaining the menu to you.

I didn't get the pho, but instead opted for the vermicelli bowl and a banh mi. We also ordered a chicken wing. The girl had to ask the back to see if they had any. We lucked out (they did have it) and we loved it! Let me tell you, the vermicelli bowl was massive, packed with fresh herbs, crisp veggies, and perfectly grilled chicken. The banh mi was also real good--the baguette had that perfect crispy crust on the outside while staying soft on the inside, and it was loaded with savory ingredients. The best part was it only cost me $6.99. The service was fast and friendly, making it a fantastic first impression. Highly recommend!

Fairly busy, but there were plenty of tables left. Ordered at the counter and sat at our table. Food came out much quicker than I expected. They forgot an order, but fixed that quickly when I asked about it. I went with the XL Pho Dac Biet with large noodles, my family opted for Pho Tai, Bo Ne, and Com Thit Nuong. I also ordered a couple Banh Mi Thit Nuong to go. Pho was delicious with a deep flavorful broth, perfect noodles, and plenty of good choice protein. Bo Ne sizzling filet mignon platter was decent, grilled pork rice plate was tasty, and the grilled pork sandwiches left me craving more. Friendly staff and great food. Will definitely be coming back. Wish I lived closer.
We came here on a weeknight and sadly, I don't think we will be returning. We waiting a good 10 minutes in line just to order. We then waited another 35 minutes for our food. We were not allowed to wait for our food at a table, so that was also weird. Although the pho was good, the service and cleanliness needed some help. I thought maybe I was being overly cautious, but then saw A Ma's on the dirty dining list from 3TV! This came after I was there the week before!
Pro-tip: I heard their second location near Ocotillo is a lot quieter. They don't have great hours-check the hours before you go! You have to order at the counter before you get seated. Highlights: I thought the pho and vermicelli bowl were very delicious. The pho is unique because you can order the normal thin pho noodles typically used in the US or the traditional flat ones that you would find in Vietnam. The food does come out pretty quickly. I would say it's a moderate price point. Lowlights: There's not a lot of seating and it can feel pretty cramped inside. The actual bowls that the food comes out in is really big so if your party orders a lot, there may not be a lot of space at the table.

The broth is consistently flavorful but not too much. They give a healthy portion of onions and green onions, but they do not give lots of bean sprouts. They serve the pho in unique metal bowls which have a nice aesthetic! Simple, fast, and delicious. Highly recommend!

The cashier was friendly and so was the server who dropped off our food. We ordered two beef pho's and an order of shrimp spring rolls and a Thai tea. The food took about 10 minutes to come out and the pho was piping hot when served. The broth was delicious and I really enjoyed the thick noodles that it came with. The shrimp rolls were tasty, they were a good size, and the peanut sauce was flavorful. Totally recommend! The inside is kinda small but they do have a few tables outside.

Amazing pho with homemade broth and 2 types of noodles. We came on a Sunday morning. At this restaurant, you order before you sit down. Pho with rare steak: (5/5) Comes with the option of thick or thin noodles. We tried both of them, and I prefer the thick noodles. Came with noodles, homemade broth (most pho restaurants use a standard MSG broth, but not this one), rare steak, onions, mint leaves, bean sprouts, a lemon wedge, and jalapeños. The beef was very tender and flavorful, it was not chewy or dry at all. The broth tasted much better than other broths, but I'm not too sure what is in it. All other ingredients were fresh. Service: (3/5) You order before you sit yourself at a table. You get your own water. They do bring the food to your table though. Ambiance: (2.5/5) The restaurant is a little bit cramped and the tables are mismatched. It can also get very busy but they also have outside seating. Overall I would recommend the pho here just remember that it's mostly self serve and the broth is very good. read more

The food is genuinely tasty, that part delivers. But the operation leaves a lot to be desired. A few things stood out: - It's counter service: you order first, then sit and wait for them to bring it out - Everything is self-service; get your own water at the counter - Fully disposable setup, including paper plates for rice. Feels built for takeout, not dining in - Despite all the self-service, they still ask for a tip at the register; which felt off - Staff seemed disinterested; ask a question and you're treated like an inconvenience - Casual, no-frills vibe. Got a medium or large party? You're rearranging tables yourself or splitting up Bottom line: decent food, but the service model and the tip ask don't add up. The pho was good, but the broth had a much stronger beef flavor than the traditional pho flavor I'm used to. Toward the end, I could taste more of the pho spices, but overall it leaned heavily toward a rich, beefy broth. I'd recommend it to people who enjoy a hearty beef-based soup with a hint of traditional pho flavor. I ordered the A Ma's Favorite Pho, and my sister ordered the Chicken Pho. When my pho arrived, I was a little disappointed with the vegetables. I'm not sure if they were canned or simply steamed for too long, but they were softer than I prefer. I personally like vegetables that are just lightly cooked and still have some texture. My sister's Chicken Pho initially looked more like a beef pho, so we wondered if the wrong dish had been brought out. However, she said it tasted fine and still enjoyed it. Overall, the meal was good. I was just expecting the more pronounced pho flavor that I'm used to finding at other pho restaurants here in the Valley. read more

Get the PHO! just do it you won't be disappointed. We ordered two brisket bowls and one tofu. Broth without enhancements was very good, after some veggies, hosin, and sriracha BOMB! I loved every bite. Noodles were a good chew as well and the service was quick and efficient. read more

What a cute little Vietnamese restaurant in Chandler! I come to Chandler occasionally for work and will make sure to come here again!! The service was friendly and fast, and there was plenty of seating inside even though it was busy! Reviews recommended the bun bo hue, and it did not disappoint! The bowl was big and FILLED with a lot of meat (tendon, meatballs, etc.) It was exactly what I needed: a hot bowl of noodle soup! Flavor was what I expected and it filled me up. The Thai tea was also big and yummy (just a little too sweet)! Overall, I'll be back next time I'm in town and need some Vietnamese food!! read more

The pho broth here was flavorful and rich, very solid. I would definitely put this place into my rotation. If I'm being really picky about the broth, it could use a little more umami to coat the back of your tongue. The pho was served super quickly; you order the counter and sit and it's served within a few minutes. Egg rolls were fantastic. I like the metal bowls too! They have outdoor and indoor seating and the place is pretty clean. Great serving sizes, will be coming back! read more

We love grandmas, right? Well, most grandmas, I guess. On my first visit, I ordered the #7 A Ma's Favorite Pho (ribeye, meatball, and brisket) and the shrimp spring rolls to share. Perhaps it was the chilliness of that winter afternoon but that pho hit the spot. It was everything a hug should be: warm and comforting. The spring rolls were fresh and excellent but that pho has me wanting more! It's a cozy place. Seating can be challenging as this is a busier shopping plaza. Order at the counter and find a table. We regularly shop next door for our noodles but never made time to visit A Ma's Kitchen until tonight after our Show at Chandler Center of the Performing Arts. Located In a large strip mall next to Ranch Market, A Ma's is a favorite of the local Vietnamese community. It is a small kitchen operation which is crowded and seating challenged. Parking is plentiful in the large parking lot including spaces in-front. Atmosphere The dining area and kitchen minimalist decor. Service is counter order. Upon entry we scored a table for two and ordered. There were some language barriers and a nice woman from the back came forward to translate to complete our order. My wife ordered a starter for two, the Goi Cuon Tom (Shrimp Rolls); and the #5 Pho Bap Po beef shank in beef broth with noodles small bowl. I ordered a Vietnamese Coffee and the Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio (Vermicelli bowl with egg rolls). This came with fresh mint, sprouts, peanut bits and a traditional side of fish sauce. I painted it heavily with the original Sriracha sauce. Oh yes I did : ) The coffee was delicious and strong, Loved it! The quality and flavors of the food more than made up for the limited space and we agreed to plan a stop here before shopping for noodles next door at the Ranch Market. $51.61 for two. read more

We went over the weekend. You place the order at the counter and receive a number. Sit wherever you'd like inside or out. We received our pho shortly after ordering. The broth was good and the Vietnamese coffee was perfect. Not too over powering and that you could enjoy it. read more

I've had this place on my list for a while. It's always busy when I walk by. Self serve restaurant where you pay before you're seated. Water is also self serve. I got the steak pho and the meat was super tender. Not tough at all. The broth was ok. I would skip the spring rolls. I guess I'm used to the tight rolls but this was lightly wrapped and had too much lettuce and tasted like it was missing something. Glad I tried this place out. It looks like the go to place for the locals. read more

Went around 1pm and this place was packed! You order at the counter and they bring out the food to you. I ordered spring rolls and brisket pho. Loved the tasty peanut sauce that comes with the spring rolls. Pho was flavorful and huge. Definitely coming back to try some other dishes. read more

I was craving Vietnamese food and this spot is so comforting. First off, the portions are huge...I ordered Bun Bo Hue and only ate half of it. The food is good and is definitely one of the better Vietnamese spots here. Upon sitting, you order the food at the register and they bring it out to your table. So it was our first time at this restaurant and after all the hype and long lines we came here on a Sunday night and there was still a 20 min wait. No problem! After they asked us if we wanted to sit outside, we got a table that still had the last people's dishes still on it. No problem! We could see they were busy. Only thing I didn't like was they didn't wipe the table after taking the used dishes. Also I was very surprised to see the bust boy take the old bowls of noodles and dump the leftovers in the trash bin outside the restaurant! That's a problem! Not long after our Pho came. We ordered 2 pho tai with traditional noodles and 1 with traditional broth and 1 with light broth for me. The waiter could not tell which was the lighter broth Pho and when asked he just had this confused look on his face. I don't think he spoke English very well. No problem as we just tasted the broth and figured it out. The broth was tasty and the noodles were cooked just right. Mine didn't have much noodles to my dismay as we were hungry and this was a $15.00 bowl of Pho. Also while eating I looked around and the area around our table was filthy. Lots of trash on the ground. My wife said the restroom was dirty and had no toilet paper and she had to use paper towels. If your business is so busy you can't keep things clean it's a BIG PROBLEM! Unfortunately my experience here was underwhelming. I had high expectations especially since the restaurant is located near an Asian market. I figured the ingredients would be of higher quality and the broth would be more flavorful. I actually gave the chicken to my dog because there was no seasoning. The noodles were still slightly hard. The broth....BLAND. Overall, what is missing is the care, thought and patience to properly develop a Pho worthy broth. I will never return nor do I recommend. read more

This Pho place is quite good, I've been here several times with friends and family and the best time is when it's raining. The broth is alright and they have sufficient sides with the pho and the aroma is very strong! The lady who does the orders is nice, atmosphere is quite small but there is room for more people and there are more seats in outside. read more

Small little gem in 99 ranch plaza! It is busy all the time. They added extra tables outside recently. As the weather cooled down, it is pretty nice to sit outside. It was full when we got there. We ordered at the counter and took a number. Waited about 10 minutes a booth was available. Then our food came right after. Service was friendly and quick! I love me a good Pho and Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodles) on a chilly day! Noodle soup is life!! They made the broth in boiling huge pots in house at the open kitchen. The whole place smells so good! I love that the noodles are served in big metal bowls to keep the broth steaming hot! For the pho, you have options to pick soft or chewy rice noodles. We got both to try. I prefer the soft noodles. It is silky but it still has a good chewy texture. The chewy noodles are the regular noodles other pho shops serve. read more

They serve a very solid pho for a very reasonable price. I especially like the meat quality that they have, it was very tender. I can see why they are always busy. You get a good amount for how much it costs and I love Stainless steel bowls. read more
