Authentic! I keep returning her for pho and I stop by simply for their cafe sua da. The Vietnamese coffee tastes as if you were standing in Saigon. The server is named Mung and that means happy. She is. Please stop there before they tear down this center and build a hotel in its place.

This little hole in the wall is across the street from the MCC rose garden has the best Pho in the Phoenix. The beef broth has a wonderful deep flavor and is delivered steaming hot. Noodles cooked perfectly. I always order the #1 combo pho in the XL bowl. You can order any of the pho in XL bowl for $1 more. It's a small family operation, so you will need to be patient when they are busy. Enjoy! Highly recommended!

The broth for both were really good. There was only 1 server/cashier. We went for an early dinner and he handled the tables just fine.

I literally don't have enough to say about this place I'd give it 6 stars if I could. This is a true hole in the wall gem of Mesa! It is nothing fancy on the inside or outside it's right next to sees candies and I say that because I don't even think their sign has words on it outside it's so faded. Service is quick efficient and he comes to give you water, to order, and then you pay at the front he's very chill. But the food.. the FOOD their pho is mind blowing it is so good I can't say enough I've tried so many I'm a rare beef kinda gal I get the #8 because it cooks in the broth and it's just chefs kiss.

The pho was fine, we got #8 and #10, but it was not incredible. The flavors were very muted and subtle. It certainly tasted good, but it was not all that I know a good pho could be. I have been eating and trying different pho places for years. My husband has recently been introduced and he enjoyed the broth. The rice noodles were slightly powdery. The imperial egg rolls were alright, a little bland. We did not finish them and we were very hungry when they were brought out. The service was efficient. The restaurant is very small, very hole in the wall feel. I really wanted to love this place. It may be worth giving it another chance, if not to support this small husband and wife ran business.

Unfortunately, I have to rate this as the worst Pho I've had and the other noodle dish we got was not too far behind. Everything seemed to have been microwaved as that was the only thing you could hear in the kitchen. For the pho specifically, the broth was warm instead of hot and not very flavorful. The bean sprouts tasted kind of off so I could not really eat them. The restaurant itself looks relatively clean but the kitchen area seems cluttered and does not inspire a lot of confidence. The other dish was pretty flavorless and some of the meat was cold so it was not reheated properly. I had to go to another restaurant afterwards for dinner. Service was just ok.

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience here food wise. Service was as expected from an Asian establishment- they only come by if you call for them. Ordered the #41, vermicelli with egg roll, grilled pork. First impression: very thin and little slices of pork! Many other Vietnamese restaurants I've been to give much more. The egg rolls were extremely mushy inside, no texture at all. The veggies underneath were an iceberg lettuce...there should be red or green leaf lettuce instead in addition to pickles carrots, daikon, and cucumbers. Fish sauce was watered down and sweet. Catered to Western audience. The pho seems to be what they are known for but the noodles were overcooked and mushy. Soup was lukewarm so it didn't cook the meat...pho broth should be hot! We also heard the microwave go off multiple times while waiting for our order. Def makes you wonder how much is freshly made. We won't return. If you are a Vietnamese food veteran I wouldn't recommend, but if you are new to it and don't have expectations, you could try it.

This is in an old Taco Bell. Not much to look at. But what matters most, the food, is great. You order at the counter (no table service) and your food comes out fast. It's a great place for a quick lunch. I had #11 - phô with brisket. It was a little light on meat but still very good. Prices are reasonable. A good sized bowl of phô will set you back $10 to $12. This is far better than fast food for around the same price.

I heard pho is really good so decided to give this place a try! As soon as I saw the menu I was surprised by the prices just because you don't see pho being under $10 these days! As soon as we got the food however, I knew the reason why.. We got the shrimp pho and vermicelli bowl with beef and egg rolls. First off, the vermicelli bowl did not have much on it... only thin slices of beef and cut up eggrolls. More eggrolls than beef. A lot of noodles with hardly any lettuce or bean sprouts. I did not care much for this. I would not order this again. The pho had good broth. I wish they added a bit more veggie. Overall, not a bad place. I would go for the pho

A little hole in the wall restaurant with delicious pho. We went 45 minutes before closing. There was still a bunch of people dining in. We ordered 4 dishes for the four of us. Seafood, meatball, and two meat pho. For my seafood I have never had pho with fried crab meat but this was so amazing and filling. If you're looking for a simple, delicious and decent priced pho, this is the place to go. If we lived in the area we'd definitely frequent Pho Nhat.

Feb 2026 - Had a great lunch when I visited some friends recently and was delighted to find the lemongrass chicken is still delish. Everything still the same, but clean and well-run. Quiet college crowd at lunch. TV was muted with captions. See's is still open next door, too. read more

There are better pho places around for sure. Less than average sized portions. Beef noodle bowl tasted like the noodles had been in the refrigerator for weeks. Rare steak pho had about 4 pieces of meat. Chicken pho had lots of chicken, but it was just chicken and noodles, no onions, no nothing. Like a kids soup. Service was what you expect from pho, unhappy to be here and unfriendly. The place is dirty all around. The sauce bottles have grease all over them. There are bottles of hand sanitizer on the tables because THERE IS NO BATHROOM! Gross. Not recommended. We will never return here. read more

The first and most lasting impression was the overwhelming smell of plumbing problems and propane, which I dearly hope was just an off day and not the norm. The chicken pho I got was very good, however, I couldn't eat the chicken itself because every single piece had gristle and sinew. The broth was very flavorful and I really enjoyed that. For the most part the interior was clean, but there were some flies. I think if I ordered something else and came on a different day where it didn't smell like sewage the experience would have been really good, but the smell was, unfortunately , extremely distracting and unpleasant. read more

I was craving pho and this restaurant was the closest according to maps. It was Thursday during lunch time, and there were 2 people eating in the dining area which had ample room for many more guests. Small and cozy. We got the beef combo and took it to go. Services was quick and we were out in less than 10 minutes. We had no complaints. Just straight forward pho, nothing fancy, but tasty. read more

I've ordered for takeout here at Pho Nhat on Southern many times and especially when I'm craving for some beef pho . The beef broth is pretty decent and the portions for the price is pretty fair in comparison to all other pho restaurants here in Mesa, Chandler locations. The owner is always willingly to get whatever I needed for my takeout. It's a husband and wife teamwork, so at times it can get busy for him to answer the phone. However, I have no issue with that because there's only 2 people doing the work. One cooks and the other waits tables and serves food. The interior could used a fresher new look for instance a fresh paint on the wall. An old fish aquarium where there's no fish in it should be removed and the space should be used more efficiently. Overall, I highly recommend this place. Great customer services, good food and all around good people. read more

I've had their beef pho To-Go 3 times now and each time it has been so delicious. The Pho broth is so flavorful and the rice noodles are so good and always the perfect consistency. It's the real deal. read more

I walked in and walked right back out. Place was empty but yet had several tables that still needed to be cleaned off and the place smelled. I had no interest in tasting the food after that. Could only imagine what the kitchen looked like if the dining area was dirty with no customers. read more

1. The pho is decent. If you're looking for pho that isn't salty with too much MSG or that isn't bland, this is the right location for you. The broth is still rich, yet mild. It has this distinct tea taste. Therefore, you know the soup is actually healthy. 2. The restroom is outside at the back of the restaurant. In other words, if you need to use the restroom, you have to leave the restaurant and walk to the back of this restaurant. 3. This family owned restaurant is small and has plenty of parking, no nonsense decro and is very basic --- but serves great dishes at a great value. 4. The price is the best. It is lower than most pho that costs above $10 or even $12. The customers are getting the best value here! You can't beat the price. 5. This is a tip: If you want boba milk tea, definitely drive straight to Boba Tree, which is 2 minutes away on the same street. Likewise, if you need some asian groceries, drive a little bit and you'll find an asian market, which aldo shares the same plaza as Boba Tree. You're welcome! Kill all 3 birds with 1 stone --- on the same street within minutes. 6. The older gentleman who was serving me was very kind and respectful. I am not sure if he is the owner or co-owner. 7. Because this is a small business with limited staff, you might need to lower your standard here. You'll find that empty dishes are still on the table when patrons have already left. You'll find that there is only 1 person who is the cashier, waiter, and cleaner all at once. I highly recommend patrons to be patient, given that you're receiving the best value for the food. Be kind. Be respectful. Be understanding. It's hard being a small business with limited staff. Enjoy! Keep your expectations low and the world must go on. read more

The customer service was amazing. We didn't have to wait to long for our FHO Soup. We had shrimp and steam vegetables. You go one time here you wouldn't want to go anywhere else. We ordered spring rolls to take home. I'm so full I don't think I can eat one. LOL read more

This place was busy when we came for supper. Families and couples dining in. Social distancing between tables. Pho was delicious. We ordered #8 and #21 $7.25 each which were served in a huge bowl with fresh basil and bean sprouts. Fresh Spring rolls with pork and some rolls with shrimp with dipping sauce. The rolls are cut in half for four portions each order. Condiments and napkins on table. I saw other posts about cleanliness. Not the newest restaurant building but it wasn't dirty. Delicious food at a good value when compared to others in the area. Feels like a family run establishment with one employee visible and one cooking in the back. In my six years of living in the Valley, I vote that this is the best Pho I had in town this side of the Valley. Yum! Broth was very good. I had the Pho with Rare Beef and Beef Tendon (pho tai gan). The whole thing was very good. I am very pleased. It's not easy to find good Pho for me. Update: I ordered the com bi suon (rice with grilled pork chop and shredded pork) and it is okay. Doable. Overall the food is decent but I can get good soup at plenty of other places and not be lied to and robbed by their staff.

Our grandson, who got the chicken and fried rice, liked his meal. The ambiance is that of a casual place with some artwork on the walls. If we lived nearby, we would gladly go here again. To start - if you want a booth, make sure you specify that when you put in your name - it changes the wait time. While we waited, we ordered Cokes from the bar, and Marquis gave a warm welcome and great service! Upon finally sliding into our booth, we found the seats hadn't been brushed off - and it was very crumb-y (pun intended) - we ended up using our napkins and then grabbing new sets from a nearby table. We also learned the Coke was FLAT and bitter - not great. However our server, Calvin, during that typical greeting and small talk actually invited us to share our concerns, asking us not to hold back and as a result went above and beyond to turn our experience around. An additional visit from Manager Josh followed, apologizing and genuinely seemed to want the the feedback as a tool for improvement and coaching for some new staff. From that point, everything was great! From getting replacement drinks, to sampling the pulled pork and brisket to tender ribs, and the good sized Cajun shrimp appetizer, the team truly redeemed the evening, and the apple cobbler (it's got a pastry top!) and cinnamon sugar donuts was a great close to the meal. Calvin and Josh gave a masterclass in how to turn a meh start into a memorable meal. We're looking forward to going back - next time with a booth request upfront!

I recently found out that this location is under different ownership, which may explain the change. And no TVs, which is actually nice - it let us focus on the vibes, the food, and each other. Many other parties were laughing and having a good time. We spent about 130 between the two of us, having ordered an XL combo and an extra side (chicken buldak - I couldn't eat the noodles but the chicken was bomb). One of my most favorite pho in my area. I'm a pho specialist. Very picky when it comes to choosing a pho restaurant. Being originally from San Diego, where the pho can not be beat..I've been going here for a few years now. It's the best Vietnamese restaurant I've found for pho in my area. Besides the fact that this place is ghetto..they recently upgraded to color tv and new green chairs. Very small and old.. I've been a regular customer for about 7 years, he will never say hi to you.. Pho Nhat ranks high on my list of go-to spots for pho in Arizona. The flavors are rich and the pricing is reasonable. You can expect your meal to arrive promptly, which is a big plus. However, there are some downsides: tables might not always be clean, the atmosphere is fairly basic, and service can occasionally be lacking--such as needing to remind staff for a water refill. Obviously with most good hole-in-the-wall Pho places, there is always something kinda weird about the restraunt. Usually a small weird tv to the side playing some crazy foreign programming that you try to watch but don't understand, this only adds to the experience. The Pho ga and the Pho tai were both excellent as were the well made spring rolls. I will be back and I recommend this place to any diehard foodie, just look for the old taco-bell on southern and you have found the place to be. read more

Been going here for 12 years. I love this place. I get the Phò gá which is with chicken instead of meatball...but phò is great too. Also the lemongrass chicken is always great. It's a Mom and Pop shop and I love supporting our community. I have a few Phò restaurants between my house in Phoenix and Pho Nhat in Mesa, but I'll go all the way to Mesa because I love their food and just because they are awesome. read more
