I've been here several times now, and after multiple visits I finally feel comfortable leaving a review. First off, the restaurant is extremely clean and has plenty of seating and space, which makes it comfortable whether you're dining alone or with a group. The service has consistently been outstanding. The staff is attentive and welcoming, and the food comes out quickly. One thing that stood out to me is how proactive they are--condiments and water were brought to the table without us even having to ask, which is always a nice touch. On this visit, I ordered the fresh shrimp rolls with peanut sauce and the Vietnamese lemongrass chicken to take home. The fresh rolls were excellent and generously portioned. They definitely didn't skimp on the peanut sauce, which was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared. An unassuming restaurant conveniently located right next to Lee Lee's supermarket. We had been here before many years ago but heard it went through a few different owners since then, so we decided to give it another try. After looking over the menu, we decided to start with the shrimp and pork spring rolls, and the steamed rice rolls to share. The spring rolls were of a good size. However, the ratio of the filling was not to our preferences. There were way too many veggies and very little noodles. The steamed rice rolls were hands down our favorite item of the meal. It had a good balance of contrasting textures to it; flavors were delicate but delicious. For our main entrees, we ordered the Bun Bo Hue and the vermicelli salad bowl with grilled pork and an egg roll. The Bun Bo Hue was hearty but could've been more aromatic. There was decent amount of meat. However, there weren't enough noodles for me so next time I would order extra. Overall, service was fast and friendly. I would say prices were fair for the quality and quantity of food we received. This is one of those places you don't come to for the ambiance, you come for the food. The broth was pretty good, and the veggies very fresh. The pho came with an appropriate amount of meat, and decent broth. The BBH could have been a tad more lemongrassy, but still quite tasty. This place has really good food but very deceitful when it's taking the food out I came in close to 8 PM and was told that I would have to take my meal to go. They weren't serving any more buddy in the restaurant. They close at eight and I got there maybe 10 minutes before eight so I said I was gonna take it to go anyways and ordered it and while I was waiting for my meal, I looked at the bill which sounded kinda high and I can't believe they charged me a dollar for to go for each item not just a dollar for the whole meal that I purchased, but they charged me a dollar for my Pho, a dollar for my spring rolls, and a dollar for my egg rolls. Three dollars to package my food I've ate at many Vietnamese restaurants and never have I been charged to go fee. Who does that? I was very disappointed and the only way I'd ever go back to that place would be to eat in there. I'm wondering if there's a fee on top of that for having to wash the dishes that you eat out of this is ridiculous. How places are just trying to find a way to scam the customer I remember when a bowl of PHO used to be seven or eight dollars now it's like more than doubled or tripled and there's no way that it cost that much more to make it. People are just getting greedy and they're just taking advantage of the customer. I just finished a doctors appointment and I really craved a bowl of pho. This place was nearby and was only one of two places that opened earlier in the morning. I went in with the intention of ordering a combination pho, but after I browsed the menu, I decided to order the Phnom Penh Noodle soup. The guy who took my order asked if I wanted rice or egg noodles. I asked which he preferred. He then suggested both. Heck yeah, why not! Great suggestion! I also ordered a hot Vietnamese coffee. The coffee was brought out in a to-go paper cup. I was expecting the traditional apparatus. The coffee was very very sweet and tasted like it had a lot of cream and sugar instead of sweetened condensed milk. When I brought this to the attention of the server, he verified it did consist of cream, sugar, and sweetened condensed milk. I could hardly detect the condensed milk because of the overpowering sweetness of the drink. I threw it away after I returned home. As for the noodle soup, the broth was definitely imitation chicken broth possibly from bouillon. It definitely wasn't made with fresh chicken. Just FYI - this dish is made with chicken broth, ground pork, pork, shrimp, and quail eggs. The egg noodles had nice texture and chew. The rice noodles were your typical Phö noodles. Good, but the egg noodles are definitely the way to go with this dish. The pork pieces tasted old, like old socks and dry! The quail eggs and shrimp were good. There were only a few specks of ground pork in my soup. Overall, I was disappointed with my meal and dining experience. Recently visited here on a trip back to Arizona over Christmas break, needed a place to grab some food on Christmas Day and saw this place was open. Let's start with the service. The service was second to none as the waiters constantly checked in and made sure our waters were full and the food was good. Moving onto the food. The portions are a lot smaller and the prices has increased. One order of Bun Bo Hue and Pho Tai had barely any noodles and only three to four pieces of meat. My Bun Bo Hue was on the warm not hot as noodle soup should be. The price is ridiculous for such small portion, the total amount for both dishes cost $29.14. What is the best food to have on a cold winter afternoon or evening, Pho, duh! My throat was hurting and my stomach was growling, my first thought was Pho! Because it was so early on a Sunday morning many locations were closed, except Pho Dam! Thank goodness! I ordered the House Pho that includes all the different proteins: tripe, meatballs, steak, etc. the broth was general, nothing extravagant but very standard. The pho was good, the only downside was the amount of protein, especially the meatballs. To give you an example, you generally could receive 2-3 full meatballs, this was 1 meatball cut into thirds. Now apply that same concept with the remaining protein. That is the reason I gave a lower rating overall. My husband ordered the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup (Hue style - dark red broth). We were both very pleased with the flavor. However the protein portion was also very lite, he ordered extra in advance. In the end, Pho Dam, is pretty good. If you need to satisfy the craving, its open and it's perfect. If you're looking for the best bang for your buck and/or more flavor and protein for your tastebuds, I suggest another spot. read more

Impressed from the moment we walked in. I really like this area as I'm a big fan of all Asian styles of food and drinks. Vietnamese being one of my very favorites. I've always been a big Vietnamese food fan, but have never had bun bo hue. People kept telling me I had to try it, and though I have no frame of reference of what it should taste like, the bun bo hue at Pho Dam was incredible! I saw online that bun bo hue often has congealed pig blood (which I have tried and do not like), but the version at Pho Dam does not have that addition, and was phenomenally tasty. It has a more complex flavor than pho, with more spices and lemongrass. The noodles are slightly chewier and thicker than what is typically found it pho, about the diameter of beansprouts. The s/o ordered our usual pho tai, and the little taste I had of that was good too, so this place seems like a good place to come again in the future! The service is quick and efficient, which we appreciated, and despite how good the food was and the fact that we were there at a regular dinner hour, there weren't that many patrons, which made for quite the short wait time. Definitely worth the visit. Plus, it's in the same shopping plaza as Lee Lee's, and so after getting Vietnamese, you can also get some dessert or boba or groceries...lots of options if you're making a trip out of it! read more
