I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at Pho Chandler. I ordered two pho meals shortly after they opened because my son is sick and pho is usually our go-to when he isn't feeling well. I picked the order up around 11:30 AM, only 30 minutes after opening, so I expected everything to be fresh. When I got home, the basil was BLACK, the bean sprouts looked old, and even the limes didn't look fresh. The broth was extremely greasy and smelled strange, almost like sheep or mutton. The noodles were also extra firm even after reheating. I've eaten pho for many, many years and have never had a batch like this. Both meals ended up being thrown away. I also paid an extra $2.50 for chili paste for two orders and received only one larger container. UPDATE: I spoke with the manager, Nicole, who was very helpful and credited my account. I'll be picking up freshly made pho tomorrow, and I appreciate her making it right. However, this should have never been an issue to begin with. Takeout customers are paying full price and should receive the same fresh, quality food as customers dining inside.
Let us pho-cus on the good things in life. We came here recently to celebrate a birthday. While I usually get whatever combination pho the place has to offer, I decided to get the oxtail pho this time to spice it up. Another review had misled me said the meat was picked off the bone, which I was all for that evening. Imagine my surprise when the meat was served on the bone! I didn't want to sit there chewing on tail so I took half my pho and all the meat home. No worries. Meat is always more flavorful on the bone anyways. I was just trying to not embarrass myself in front of others, haha! I stand by what I said in my previous review here: Skip the spring rolls. The peanut sauce isn't robust. Stick to the egg rolls and you'll be happy!
Pho Chandler gets busy and for good reason. Don't forgot to check-in on the kiosk by the door. I ordered the Mì Hoành Thánh (Wonton Noodle Soup) with pork-and-shrimp wontons, chicken, vegetables, and egg noodles. The broth and wontons were solid and comforting, but unfortunately the chicken and shrimp were overcooked, which took away from the overall bowl. I also ordered the spring rolls and was reminded why I didn't love them last time I was here. The peanut sauce was pretty bland, which is a dealbreaker for me. I also had a few bites of the oxtail pho and it was good. It's a popular spot for a reason. And while not everything hit for me, the oxtail pho alone is worth coming back for.
Pho Chandler has lots of great options! I really enjoy the pho and bun xeo here! The pho broth is very flavorful and there's lots of meat selections to choose from. The workers are all so friendly and attentive. This restaurant is perfect for dine in or take out. I will definitely be back!
Oxtail pho is one of my favorite soups, but it's surprisingly hard to find in Tucson--most Vietnamese restaurants don't keep oxtail on the menu consistently. I love the way it pairs with pho noodles, rich broth, cilantro, and just a touch of sriracha, so I ventured out to Chandler Pho on the southeast outskirts of Chandler to finally get my fix. The broth didn't have the immediate "wow" factor I usually get from that first savory sip, but the oxtail itself was excellent--tender, flavorful, and served in a very generous portion. The vegetables served with the pho were also very fresh and added a great balance to the bowl. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout. I truly wish we had a restaurant like this with the pho options in Tucson.
Service wasn't bad and food came out quick. The inside has a decent amount of seating, but definitely can have a wait during peak hours. I ordered the pho which was a good portion. The broth was on the lighter side and not super salty. There was a lot more protein than I expected- something I feel like you can't find that often anymore. Also ordered the Viet Coffee which they brought to the table so you could mix and pour over yourself. It's not bad for a quick Pho fix.

108° this afternoon. We came up with Vietnamese food as a lighter, cooler meal Immediately seated, and got to ordering. Starting with crispy rice crepe & spring rolls . The crepe was perfection! Crispy, light shell stuffed with bean sprouts and bits of shrimp and pork. Served with lettuce leaves and herbs to wrap it in. Delicious! Spring rolls were good, nice peanut sauce for dipping. Had the papaya salad also, to get some more cooling greens. We then split a vermicelli combo plate. Large square bowl with a bed of chopped romaine, vermicelli noodles, shredded veggies, and topped with marinated grilled pork bits, grilled shrimp & a small egg roll. We couldn't finish it all, so had a few leftovers for this evening. Service quick and pleasant, casual & friendly. We've been coming here for years, and this was one of the better meals we've had! Wish they were closer, would come more often.
The food was decent, but I have definitely had better Pho before. The meat was very good and was tender, but the broth was not as flavorful as I would have liked. The portion is also smaller than what I would normally expect at a Pho place. We all ordered the P3 at our table with varying levels of spice. They were very quick with service, however, one thing did strike me as weird. They were asking for drinks, and I had already ordered my drinks. She then took the menu out of my hand, where I was looking at the food and flipped it to the drink side and told me that that's where the drinks were. It is a very comfortable store with an awesome ambience, and when we went, it was packed! The only thing I would say about the ambience is it is important to know that when you arrive, you will have to get on a waitlist and wait outside. There is no inside waiting area, so just keep that in mind for the hotter months.
The perfect order: Egg rolls (wrap them in the lettuce, cilantro, mint, and cucumber- then dip!) Phở Tái with Bún Bò Huế broth Side of vinegar onions and lemongrass chili paste - elevates the phó, I promise! Absolutely phónomenal. 10/10, no notes.
Service is extremely nice and accommodating. We were on a wait list but only waited 4 minutes. Prices are good and portions are big, I shared an XL pho with my friend and we ate appetizers. The appetizers were my favorite personally, get the vinegar onions if you love onions as well! Ambiance is clean and cozy.
Stopped by for a quick dinner with the family. We were seated quickly. Service was good. I got the steak and meatball pho. Very flavorful, the broth in my opinion was a bit salty but over all good. If you like your broth on the salty side, this place is your jam! The spring rolls hit the spot too. It had shrimp, beef, lettuce, and noodles. Service was good. I'd come again to try their vermicelli bowls! There's a boba place next door if you're looking for something sweet after.

Pretty legit pho spot in Chandler. Service was very friendly and fast. We got quite a variety. Pho Ga - was told this is normally served with beef broth but they offer chicken. I got chicken cause that's traditional for Pho Ga. It was pretty good but not the most flavorful. The noodles were also a little overcooked. There was almost an entire chicken breast in it, I could barely finish it. Overall it was good but could use some tweaking in the chicken broth. Bun rieu - My son liked it, ate the whole thing up. No complaints. Short rib pho - So much meat, the ribs were flavorful and tender, the broth was a little greasy and did not taste super fresh but overall my husband was still satisfied. I also got the Vietnamese ice coffee with condensed milk on the side. It was strong, delicious and traditional. There is plenty of seating and the restaurant is clean. If craving pho in Chandler, this place does the job. read more

Everything was good. I don't usually like pho because I think it doesn't have much flavor but I tried my bf's pho & liked it! I think i'll get it next time. I ordered tofu pad thai at lvl 4 heat. Tbh I think I could do lvl 5, the 4 was barely spicy. Pad thai had a very generous amount of tofu & was flavorful. The green beans were also good. Place smelled clean and service was good. read more

Awesome! Would recommend. Great food. Great service. We got the pho chicken. Crab cream cheese puffs and a side of veggies. Definitely impressed with everything and inclined to come back and try more. Great work! read more

OK. I am a Pho critic and my order of Combo Pho for takeout rates a solid 10/10. Only 3 other Phoenix metro Vietnamese restaurants have gotten that rating from me. The dining area looked very clean inside so the next time I will dine in if possible. read more

First time at Pho Chandler, we came in for lunch and it was pretty. I got the P3Phở Tái Nạm, which consisted of sliced eye round steak, well done brisket and rice noodle. The Cơm Đặc Biệt- Chandler Special Rice Plate , which had grilled marinated pork chop, beef, shrip, egg, slices of cucumber, tomato and lettuce over broken rice. I wasn't a huge fan the of the chandler special rice plate. But my pho was really good. The broth was really seasoned, and steak was nicely done. Their Thai tea wasn't really sweet enough to my liking. Overall decent food spot with decent prices. read more

Pho in Phoenix has been rough for me, and Pho Chandler is easily my number 1 pick for pho at the moment. This is my second time having it, and it's just a really good bowl of pho. They offer 3 sizes Regular, large, and extra large. In my photo is an xtra large pho tai, and I feel like it's worth the xtra large title. It's a great sized bowl with lots of meat. Noodle portion is a good amount as well. The broth - good beef taste for Phoenix, but broth has a sort of chicken taste to it too? It is a super clean tasting broth, no oil really in it. Not too salty and can taste pho spices. I do taste a heavy green onion taste in this broth, and you can see there's a big stalk of it in the broth, but I like that. Overall, my favorite pho place in Phoenix so far, and I've definitely been to multiple at this point. The broth is good, portion size is good, and overall just a really good bowl of pho. Service was good and food came out quick, which was nice. Place is small and does fill up quick. I was excited to try the food, as all of the tables were occupied and there was a bit of a wait but I have to say that I was really disappointed in the food. 1) spring rolls were fine but the peanut sauce, even though it looked like peanut sauce, was literally missing the peanut taste. After adding a lot of hoisin to it, it was tolerable. 2) cream cheese puffs was also missing flavor but thank goodness it had s.s.s. 3.) Big portion of pho, and they do give you lots of noodles and a variety of pho meat but again lacked that beef bone broth that I was hoping for. It tasted like they kept adding water to the broth pot cause the pot meat was extremely good and flavorful but the actual broth itself was very bland. We had to ask for fish sauce and hot chili paste to 'sup it up. Plus, what pho restaurant wouldn't have hot chili oil already on the table! 4) pork chop was thin and sweet. Blah. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be back as it was just okay for me and there are other pho places. read more

Pho Chandler is my top go to for Pho on the East Side. Seats are always full with a very diverse crowd. Food is consistently excellent (have eaten here over 15x). Portions are large. I'm partial to the P13- beef short rib pho and the fried egg rolls. The short ribs are braised on the bone, very meaty and very tender. The egg rolls are outstanding and they serve them in the traditional way with mint, leafy green lettuce, cilantro and a delicious sauce. There's a lot more to the menu which also plan on trying...I'm just stuck on the beef short rib pho for now. One detail that is an added bonus- they brew their own tea...and it's good. They leave a carafe at the table so no waiting for refills! The staff is friendly and very attentive to include the bussing service. I'm recommend this place to family and friends. read more
My son and I visited on a particularly cold day in January. Craving warmth and pho, we decided to check out Pho Chandler. So many people had the same idea because there was a line outside. We had originally planned on dining in, but as soon as I saw the amount of people waiting, I decided to order to-go. We were greeted as soon as we entered. The space is cozy and ample seating. I ordered the Gỏi Cuốn (spring rolls), $6.95, Phở Hải Sản (seafood pho), $17.50 and my son ordered the Phở Đặc Biệt (house pho), $14.50. It was ready within 20 minutes. We requested shrimp only in our spring rolls. It was fresh and the accompanying peanut sauce was rich, creamy, and delicious. My pho came with snow crab, shrimp, and scallop with rice noodle. The broth was flavorful and I appreciated the amount of protein it came with. It was a solid pho! My son's came with house special combination of sliced eye round steak, well done-brisket well-done flank, soft tendon, and trip and beef meatball with rice noodle. He, too enjoyed his pho. Would order from Pho Chandler again! read more

The service is just as reliable as the food--friendly, fast, and welcoming every single time. You know a place is good when you can order anything on the menu and trust that it's going to be amazing. I'm more than willing to drive an hour just to eat here, and it's always worth it. If you haven't tried this place yet, you're seriously missing out. Definitely my go-to Vietnamese spot in Chandler! read more
