Spicy Korean steak noodle
Aimee K.

Stopped for a quick impromptu on the go lunch while running errands. Placed a pickup order for the spicy Korean steak noodles with rice noodles instead of lo mein plus a cookie for later. My order wasn't ready as promised so I had to wait about 8-9 minutes which was alright. Considering the fact that I had to wait, my noodles were surprisingly just warm and not piping hot. There was a nice heat to the noodle dish but I didn't care for the overly sweet and excessive abundance of the sauce. My noodles were dripping sauce with each bite. I shouldn't complain or expect real Asian style food from a non Asian establishment. If I come back, I'll try something else like mac n cheese. Most of the tables were clean but several of them needed to be cleaned. It was lunch time so was a line of people waiting to order and several waiting for orders which was expected. Parking is conveniently located right outside the door by the umbrella covered tables. Was nice to sit outside for a change while the weather outside is still enjoyable.

Menu looked delicious online so we gave it a try. The portions looked small when the food arrived but the taste was outstanding. Well worth the price. For $30 we got got food pictured & 2 bottles of Coke. Not terrible. We'll be back because this food is delicious. We left happy with full tummies. They have 4 types of mac plus noodle bowls & salads. Everything looks delicious.

The ladies were kind and everything but I paid $17 for my lunch and asked which chicken was better the parm or grilled. They said parm but when I got my food I thought it was grilled because of how cooked it was... it was completely burnt, flat and really hard. I also waited a while for the food and there was only one customer in the restaurant at the time. I couldn't even go back because I was in the middle of moving...

Take a number and wait...

This was a random stop and we actually ended up here because the Hawaiian place on the other side of the parking lot looked too busy. Also- I love noodles. Restaurant was clean and service was fast. I like that they have both larger and smaller serving sizes because we were just in for a snack. I also like that you can add the protein of your choice. I however made a bad choice. I got the impossible chicken which was, in essence, plant based chicken nuggets cut in half and plopped on top of my noodles. I won't do that again. Also- I was hoping for Singapore noodles but they aren't on the menu. All in all, my meal was fine but nothing to rave about.

I love that they change their menu daily, it's handwritten and the details are posted on their Instagram page if you want to take a look before you arrive. Everything is made fresh to order! The day we had gone in, they had a few sandwich and pasta options available to choose from. My husband got the spicy Italian sausage ziti pasta dish and I ordered the chicken parm sandwich. The sandwich came out first; I really liked the marinara sauce on it. It was a bit difficult to eat but exactly what I was expecting and wanting. The pasta took some time to come out, but that was fine. The sauce was like a pesto vodka sauce, very rich & filling, and also tasty. We were both only able to eat half of each dish since they were both large dishes. I believe they only serve pasta dishes on certain days, so if they have them on the menu, definitely consider ordering one of those. They seem to have sandwiches everyday. It's a pretty small place with a few tables & some bar type seating. It gets pretty busy around lunch time, so plan accordingly. We'll be back again to try other items!

He usually gets a plain pie (pizza with cheese), which he says is great, and I have had several different kinds of pizza during our visits to Sal's and each one has been amazing - plus, they have garlic powder at each of the tables. The calamari and tiramisu are also fantastic!! The service is always great - our servers are consistently friendly and helpful. The place is super cute and homey and can accommodate both big and small parties. It's a good thing that Sal's is 20 minutes from us, or else we would probably be here at least 3 times a week, something that would do considerable damage to both of our waistlines.

Our server was friendly, though hesitant to make any recommendations or share any opinions about the food, other than her love of the limoncello cake because 'it is light.' We tried the eggplant and chicken Parmesan because it sounded interesting and unlike offerings at other Italian restaurants. It was unique and fun to try, but I don't think I would get it again. It was quite heavy on the breading and there was a generous portion of cheese and sauce. We asked if we could substitute a salad in place of the spaghetti that it came with and our server did indicate they offer garlic sautéed spinach or broccoli so we selected the broccoli. She did not inform us that it came at an extra charge, though we would have still been happy to pay it, it's just nice to be informed ahead of time of any additional cost. I definitely recommend the cannolis as the filling was thick and creamy and not overly sweet and the entire shell was dipped in chocolate!

I was pleasantly surprised to find Pan's mushroom jerky I first saw on Shark Tank which sells for $7.99 on Amazon. They had two varieties- original and applewood bbq for only $3.99 and I ended up buying 15 of them lol. Today, they had 3 pack green onions for 86 cents! That's a crazy price considering they're at least 99 cents for a bunch nowadays. Other great finds were bella mushrooms for $1.84, 8 oz spicy smoked Gouda cheese for $3.39 and organic kombucha for only $1.99! You can get some amazing deals here. They also carry some cool stuff in their Aldi finds aisle. I saw some cute animal planters for $3.99 and mushroom bird houses for $7.99. The are two major differences at Aldi's compared to other grocery stores. They don't offer free shopping bags so you have to buy them or bring your own. The other difference is you have to pay 25 cents to get a cart but you get it back when you return it to the corral. I personally think it's a great idea as it doesn't cost the customer anything except a bit of inconvenience but they don't have to hire staff to collect the carts. I think it's a great idea as I hate people leaving their carts all over the parking lot.

She immediately told us the kitchen would be closing in 10 minutes (we arrived at 7:19 and they close at 8), which already made the experience feel a bit rushed. We ordered a deep dish pepperoni and sausage pizza, a Caesar salad, fries, and water. The salad and fries came out quickly and were good, but we waited until 7:52 for the pizza. During that time, several staff members including what seemed to be a manager, were loudly yelling back and forth across the restaurant about staffing and schedules. With no music or TV volume, it was impossible not to hear, and it felt very unprofessional. Meanwhile, our water glasses sat empty. I had to ask three separate times for refills, and the third time I actually had to get up and find our server at the bar, where she was sitting, still discussing the schedule. When the pizza finally arrived, it was delicious. But basic things like Parmesan and pepper weren't offered. I had to flag someone down to ask. And even though we'd just received our food, the lights on the patio were turned off while we were eating, and we were brought a box very quickly, which felt like a not-so-subtle hint to leave. Overall, the food was good, but the customer service and atmosphere really took away from what should have been a nice birthday dinner for my daughter. Very disappointing experience.

The atmosphere is upbeat, bright, and welcoming with a really good energy whether you're stopping in for lunch, dinner, or meeting up with a larger group. The setup works especially well for groups since there's plenty of seating and the ordering process keeps things moving even when it's busy. One thing they do very well is efficiency without losing hospitality. They have both a dine-in ordering counter and a dedicated to-go counter, which seems necessary because this place stays packed. Even during busy times, the staff stays friendly, attentive, and organized. You can tell there's real attention paid to each order and that management understands how to run a smooth restaurant operation. The menu has a lot of solid choices whether you want something lighter, comforting, vegetarian, or protein-packed. Portions were satisfying, and the broccoli deserves its own mention -- somehow simple but absolutely addictive. My only real note is that pricing feels a little high for an order-at-the-counter style restaurant. I love the paned windows that look out onto the patio, the very high ceilings, and the brown rattan lighting fixtures. Even though the space is quite large, it's extremely inviting. That said, it's a great place for something healthy. I feel like you can't go wrong with any of the choices if you're trying to eat well. My friends lunch looked much better than what I had. I had the Flying Avocado Wrap, and I didn't love it. In fact I didn't finish even half of it - - I took it home and my son ate it. I think it's the bread I don't like, and anyone who knows me knows I can be really picky. Will I come back? Probably. When I have lunch with somebody else who wants to come here, I won't have a problem with it. I would really like to try the forbidden Rice that my friend had. But I'm not likely to ever swing by here on my own.
