This wasn't my first line grocery store but I've really come to enjoy this store. They have some really great deals. My advice is to take your time and look as you will find little treasures everywhere. Bring a quarter for the cart. You'll get your quarter back when you return the cart. The last time I was here was 5 years ago when they first opened and due to the lack of variety and limited inventory I haven't been back until recently. I was pleasantly surprised to find Pan's mushroom jerky I first saw on Shark Tank which sells for $7.99 on Amazon. They had two varieties- original and applewood bbq for only $3.99 and I ended up buying 15 of them lol. Today, they had 3 pack green onions for 86 cents! That's a crazy price considering they're at least 99 cents for a bunch nowadays. Other great finds were bella mushrooms for $1.84, 8 oz spicy smoked Gouda cheese for $3.39 and organic kombucha for only $1.99! You can get some amazing deals here. They also carry some cool stuff in their Aldi finds aisle. I saw some cute animal planters for $3.99 and mushroom bird houses for $7.99. The are two major differences at Aldi's compared to other grocery stores. They don't offer free shopping bags so you have to buy them or bring your own. The other difference is you have to pay 25 cents to get a cart but you get it back when you return it to the corral. I personally think it's a great idea as it doesn't cost the customer anything except a bit of inconvenience but they don't have to hire staff to collect the carts. I think it's a great idea as I hate people leaving their carts all over the parking lot. read more

I knew of Aldi from Europe and the East Coast, and here's a tip if you're a first-time shopper at Aldi. Bring a quarter and your own reusable bag. If you shop late when they are restocking, you might find free boxes available, but don't count on it. They're usually only available when restocking and near closing time. You'll need a quarter to unlock a shopping cart, and you're supposed to get it back once you return the cart. Unfortunately, mine got stuck, and I never got it back. As far as Aldi Finds, keep an eye on them. They sometimes have limited-time offers on a variety of products. The checkout process was okay. The cashier scans the items and returns them to your cart, and then you'll bag them yourself. Who doesn't love ALDI? This location has a great selection of food and merchandise. The Aisle of Shame (AoS) was well-stocked and true ALDI fans know what the AoS is. We were greeted when we came in, and everyone seemed friendly. Loved the warm atmosphere of this location and will definitely stop in when in the area. read more

I love Aldi! They have the best deals. You can get almost anything from the local grocery store for up to 50% off at Aldi's. This Aldi is in a great location with a large parking lot. I've been here several times and have never had any issues. Items are usually in stock. Some of my staples are the sourdough round bread (with only 3 main ingredients), spinach, salmon, eggs, snacks, and more. I also love going through their seasonal aisle. I often find goodies like beautiful greeting cards, pajamas (yes, pajamas!) and fun earrings. The store is clean and shelves are organized. The layout flows well. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They work quickly and efficiently, too. Even with usually just one cashier, they get people in and out within minutes, all while keeping a positive attitude! read more

Why haven't I come here sooner!! We used to have an Aldi's back home, but have not been to one in 10+ years. While talking with some friends about our upcoming charcuterie board night they expressed I needed to get all the cheese at Aldi. They were not kidding! Great selection of quality cheeses and I snagged the crackers, olives and jams while we were there too. My only mistake was brining my hungry teenager LOL and finding the deals in the aisle of goodness. We bought more frozen items, but the fresh items also look good. The manager on site was also very helpful with the cart situation as you needed a quarter and also gave my son a cute little keychain quarter holder to use on our next visit. Bring your reuse bags also unless you want to buy some and they also offer boxes to pack up your goods on the back shelf after you check out. A cart full of mostly what we did not actually come with became a successful and fun visit. read more

I typically like Aldi. However, this location has gotten dirtier and dirtier. Last time I got food, half of the produce was moldy and there was some sort of roach/beetle in one of the bags of produce. I don't think I'd be back due to that. read more

First time at an Aldi. I've seen many posts about Aldi stores, and saw that I needed to bring a quarter and my own bags, so I did. I thought I was prepared. When I went to check out, I had guessed that I needed to go to the end of the conveyor belt and bag my own groceries, as I usually do at Safeway. I was wrong. The cashier was just chucking the groceries as hard as she could into the cart while I was trying to bag, just tossing everything like she was throwing rocks. Tossing cans from 1-2 feet away onto my produce and on top of my hands as I tried to bag. She looked furious and I didn't understand what the hell was going on, I tried my best to bag, and then when she finished, I looked up, and ONLY THEN did I see a counter with other shoppers bagging their groceries to the side. I felt like a dumbass, but I had no idea this was the protocol. Instead of letting me know, the cashier just raged out. Well, now I know. This is a good tip to share with first time Aldi shoppers besides just the quarter and bag thing. I understand certain things can really annoy cashiers. I'm very familiar with grocery stores, my husband and I both work for them. My husband runs a Safeway. I guess I'm just wondering why the cashier chose to rage instead of letting me know what to do! Lol It was a crazy experience. It was a crappy experience, the produce wasn't very fresh. The Roman tomatoes looked like they were about to expire. And the prices aren't worth being treated rudely. The ground beef was like $5.99 a lb, which is crazy. As someone who has worked in customer service their entire life, I despise rude cashiers and won't be back ever. I have been twice to Aldi, once when they opened and again after few months later. Both the times I felt hassle specially with the cart. When I went for the first time it was super crowded so, didn't find a cart. And now, u have to pay to get a cart, it's only a quarter but it's so much of a hassle. Carry a bag or u will have to buy one. The selection is good and they have a huge section for bakery items, ready to go meals. But, unfortunately I was not impressed with the ingredients. The price is cheap so the ingredients used is unhealthy, it's just my finding. They have many imported food, specially pasta, sauce, wine, savory and sweets. Cool market. I have visited and shopped ones in California and now they have made their way to AZ. Lots of interesting fresh and frozen foods. The options for a quick dinner or appetizers for an evening with friends or a special occasion. They remind me a lot of The Fresh & Easy markets, there were several in CA that closed. Aldi's has a similar concept. I just stopped in I was killing time before a doctors appointment. I didn't want to purchase anything and risk it defrosting. I would definitely go back and pick up some of their great frozen options for appetizers and they have some interesting sauces to cook with. Check it out for yourself... ALDI is like the old Fresh and Easy. It's a European-style market. Smaller, many unknown brands, less selection. This trip we got some chicken, a frozen pizza, and a few other things. The prices were competitive. Meat and produce prices may have been slightly better than most other grocery stores. The brand of salsa they carry is OK. I think I like Sprouts brand better, but it was good. Meat seemed to be fresh. Produce seemed to be good quality. The pizza wasn't a brand I ever heard of, but it was pretty good. Remember to bring a quarter if you want a cart. You have to insert a quarter to unlock a cart. It's incentive to bring the cart back from your car because you'll get the quarter back if you do. So their employees don't have to wander around collecting carts several times per day. Overall it didn't "wow" me, but it was fine. I wouldn't do most of my shopping here, but I'm sure we'll be back occasionally. read more

First thing to note is that we had trouble finding this Aldi because Google Maps said it's at Pecos and Cooper, but it's actually at Pecos and Val Vista, next to Winco. Not sure what happened there, but it looks like it has since been corrected. This location just opened a week ago. The in-store layout is the same as the Chandler location (Queen Creek and Alma School). Remember to have a quarter on hand if you want to use a cart, and to bring a tote bag to bag your groceries. Using their tote bags or paper bags will cost 10 cents each. I have looked into highly recommended items to get at Aldi, and it seems like these 2 locations do not have everything Aldis in other states may have. Hopefully over time, we will get those products as well. I think for basic items, such as produce, canned items, etc, Aldi has very competitive prices. However, my typical grocery store has everything I need for the same price or slightly higher (but still inexpensive), and in a more convenient location. I highly recommend their knock off Girl Scout cookies made by Brenton. They taste the same, are available year round, and are a fraction of the price! read more

Those specials are lost leaders and they have very limited stock on hand. Four freaking times I have gone now for those weekly specials and no time were they available. What a Joke and waste of time. Strangely enough they put the distilled water in their refrigerator so you can't get drinking water cold. You have to take the distilled water cold Unfortunately distilled water. If you drink it long enough you would weaken your bones you lose your hair. The store doesn't understand that without minerals completely You're not replacing what you need. I give this a 2 because of the lack of customer service! Cashiers and workers are not friendly! They do not greet or say thanks. There was 5 people in front of me in line and 3 people behind me before someone decided to open another lane. The store was cleaned and stocked ! CDC guidelines are definitely enforced! I have no complaints just remember you are there to service the customer be courteous smile greet and thank them for coming. Not too much to ask! Pretty small store with a few items that were worth getting. Can foods and whole chicken were decent priced. Don't forget to bring your own bags. They load everything into your cart without any boxes or bags. They have a good selection but be careful some items are priced higher then other stores. read more

Warning - the store recently opened and it is FREEZING inside, so bring a coat. I guess the heat isn't working yet. I shopped for five minutes and left because it was so cold. Size of old fresh n easy stores. Most items were brands I never heard of. Better have a quarter if u want to use a cart. Need to buy grocery bag for 10 cents each if u don't bring a bag. Cashier scans your items and then puts them in the prior shopper's cart (COVID HAZARD ALERT) and then you push the covid cart to the counter in the front of the store to bag your stuff. Your cart is left at cashier to infect the next person. Must re-chain your cart to get yout quarter back. At least I can say 'Been there, done that' and I feel no need to return. read more

I love international stores, however Aldi can keep their crap. The store lacks customer service. One register open with 3 customers in line and as customer gathers towards the line another associates behind one of the registers keeps directing customers to the one long line thats open. Then you have to bag your own groceries (which is fine), most people bag their items after they have completed their transaction, which holds up the line. The cashier I dealt with sat and watched as the customer in front of me bags her items. The cashier should have assisted. Isn't that part of customer service? Then, what is up with chairs for the cashiers but can't assist their customers. Aldi does not understand or know what customer service is. read more

I really wanted to like this place, but I sort of found the whole experience somewhat annoying. I can look past the required 25 cents to unlock a cart so I don't have to carry food on back (much appreciated), but then after I shop for my groceries, buy bags, load my groceries onto the counter, pay for them, go load all of those bags with said groceries at a separate counter, leave store, take cart to my vehicle, unload groceries, return cart, lock it and retrieve my quarter. If the cashier is already placing my items back into my cart, why not just place them INTO a bag in my cart? I appreciate the effort to cut costs, but I don't really want to feel like I am working a second job when I go grocery shopping. They market themselves as "fresh". There are certain produce items that I buy organic only and their organic section was disappointing; small volume packages in a very small corner of the produce section. I spent $17 for a tiny pack of blueberries, a tiny pk strawberries, 4 tiny avocados, 2 zucchini and a small of grape tomatoes. So while they did have a ton of produce, the prices were okay; on par with Walmart. Most of the other items in the store are brands I've never heard of and look like Oscar Meyer and Kraft packaged under another name; nothing particularly appealing. The lunch meat and cheeses looked; meh. Don't think I'll be going back. read more
