I knew of Aldi from Europe and the East Coast, and here's a tip if you're a first-time shopper at Aldi. Bring a quarter and your own reusable bag. If you shop late when they are restocking, you might find free boxes available, but don't count on it. They're usually only available when restocking and near closing time. You'll need a quarter to unlock a shopping cart, and you're supposed to get it back once you return the cart. Unfortunately, mine got stuck, and I never got it back. As far as Aldi Finds, keep an eye on them. They sometimes have limited-time offers on a variety of products. The checkout process was okay. The cashier scans the items and returns them to your cart, and then you'll bag them yourself. On my visit, I was offered a free box since they were nearing closing time, so I bagged all my diet foods! Avocado, cucumber, yogurt, and other small items.

Who doesn't love ALDI? This location has a great selection of food and merchandise. The Aisle of Shame (AoS) was well-stocked and true ALDI fans know what the AoS is. We were greeted when we came in, and everyone seemed friendly. Loved the warm atmosphere of this location and will definitely stop in when in the area.

Clean store with a lot of produce. Good prices on some items others are comparable. Store opens at 9am daily. Would be nice to have earlier hours at least on the weekend for early risers such as myself. Personal preference. Happy to finally visit. Cashier was very friendly. Don't forget, bring your bags. You can purchase paper bags if you need to.

The Agritopia Community Garden is a gathering place for members to garden, grow healthy produce, and build community in the garden. There are 48 individual 20x20 plots and 6 half plots. Each plot is leased yearly. The plot, water, access to the tool shed, and social functions of the gardeners are all included in the lease. Also located in Agritopia is The Epicenter, which is a mixed use commercial and residential project featuring retail stores, health clubs, restaurants, a luxury apartment, and more to come. Agritopia is one of my favorites if not my most favorite place in the Valley. I love the community, what it offers as well as the stores and restaurants. Although there are plenty of free parking all around Agritopia, it can be challenging to find a spot on weekend evenings as well as Farm Nights.

As I looked around, I couldn't help but think that if I lived there, I'd probably be stopping in daily. The combination of a bakery and coffee house makes it the perfect neighborhood spot. Although I skipped the coffee this visit--it was mid-afternoon on a Sunday, and I wasn't looking for a caffeine boost--I'll definitely be back to give it a try. For this visit, we focused on the baked goods and sampled four items: the chocolate croissant doughnut, maple croissant doughnut, vanilla doughnut, and a red velvwtcupcake. Every single one was delicious. The croissant doughnuts were wonderfully flaky with just the right amount of sweetness, the vanilla doughnut was soft and flavorful, and the red velvet cupcake was rich and satisfying. It's rare to find a bakery where every item you try is a winner, but this one delivered across the board. Whether you're stopping in for coffee, a sweet treat, or both, this charming bakery is well worth a visit. I'll definitely be back.

Perhaps dining in is a better experience, I can't remember if they warm up the pastry but we took our maple, cheesecake croissant, and cinnamon roll to go. It tasted a day old. The croissant/ bread didn't taste fresh, almost stale. I opted to warm it up a bit, it was a bit better but then it just started feeling too sweet so I wasn't interested anymore. the cinnamon roll breading lacked flavor, but the cream on top was good. But again the bread dough just felt stale. It was a Sunday in the AM that we went. Not busy at all. Since it's a part of an apartment, parking is a little awkward and can feel tight. You could easily not notice the place and mistake it for being closed. It's right off of the round about. (the wind had blew over the open sign and the open sign wasn't lit) Service is okay, nice enough. Not really warm. Seating is ample and is cozy to sit and read or catch up with a friend.

As a health food vegan, I am always on the lookout for food like this: whole foods/plant-based, including some oil-free options. Their whole menu reads like a list of my favorite food buzzwords: buckwheat, lentil cauliflower scramble, sunflower seed meat, local fermented sauerkraut, freshly milled Sonoran wheat; tempeh, sourdough, homemade seeded bread, homemade cashew milk, etc. etc. It was legitimately hard to decide what to get. I went with the baked(!) strawberry banana oat buckwheat pancakes. Super tasty, and a generous portion. I also couldn't resist an oil-free sunbutter cookie (with its wacky bluegreen tinge that was apparently from the sunflower seeds) and also loved the cold brew coffee with cashew milk.
