I downloaded the app & easily placed an order online for everything I needed to be picked up the following day (rarely can you get same-day for pickup). This store seemed to be able to fulfill my order quicker than others, and at a location I prefer. Nothing was out of stock, just a few items were replaced with a different brand since the store brand was out of stock- no biggie! I called the number on the sign when I parked in the designated spot. Less than 5 minutes, and an attendant was out there with another employee toting the groceries- I didn't even have to get out of my car! I believe it was a manager who was helping me, and he was very professional. Both him & the gentleman with my cart full were wearing masks. I was instructed to pop my trunk, he asked for my drivers license (I ordered alcohol) & took the info down before having me sign the pickup slip, handed me my receipt & I was on my way! (Oh, besides the fact I accidentally popped my hood instead of my trunk. LOL! He was so kind as to make sure my hood was secured so I still didn't have to get out of my vehicle during the entire interaction- 5 stars on his part for the awesome customer service!!!) The reason I docked a star- the groceries were bagged pretty poorly. Some bags were near empty with 1 item while others were overflowing & items compromised. And, they were not placed well when they loaded my trunk. I ended up having to fish out the roll-away bottles & cans that flew all over during transport home. That would have been bad news had there been eggs in my order! And, I pointed out how there was a patron parked in the reserved spot for pickup that was clearly inside shopping, therefore blocking a reserved spot dedicated to someone such as myself who needed to use it for the quick pickup... he brushed my comment off as if it didn't matter. Luckily there was another reserved spot open, otherwise it would have prevented the pickup, and I think he should have taken the plate number down & announced over the intercom to inform the person responsible that isn't okay. So, overall, this was a breeze & I'm very pleased with this location. I'll definitely continue to shop here wether it be pickup or actually going in. They have everything you'd need on a basic grocery trip, and the customer service is quite decent for the most part. I was handed a copy of my receipt, but it was also emailed to me. I appreciated the text notifications when my order was ready, as well. They've made the process very easy during a pandemic when we really don't want to be going out & about or around others if it can be avoided!

I bought some fresh flour tortillas and tortilla chips and both were very good. In addition, I reloaded our stock of mazapán treats and tried the Jarritos spicy gummies (pineapple, mango and tamarind flavors and not too much heat). If you like the Chef Merito seasoning like I do, they have a good variety. I remember when there was just one, but the lineup has expanded with meat-specific options -- the Pollo one is quite nice on simply grilled or beer-can roasted chicken. I need to come back for some pastries and fresh chiles and Mexican queso -- they have a counter with all kinds of options in addition to the prepackaged stuff. Parking can be a little challenging due to the popularity, depending on when you go, but we found a spot that wasn't too far away from the entrance.

The burger was large, flavorful, and made with quality ingredients. Considering the generous portion size, the price was very reasonable and offered excellent value. I'm also a big fan of fresh-brewed tea, and it did not disappoint. It was fresh, refreshing, and the perfect complement to the meal. One of the highlights of the restaurant is the large shaded patio. Even on warmer days, the misting system helps keep the space comfortable, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy your meal outdoors. Between the great food, reasonable prices, outstanding employees, and comfortable patio, this was a very enjoyable experience. I'll definitely be back.

Nobody ever accused Fry's food store of being a great place to enjoy fine Japanese cuisine…read more Michelle and Thiri are two hard-boiled females who run the sushi operation at Fry's Grocery in Apache Junction. They have been tough to please since the store opened several years ago. We've been "once burned, twice shy" too often lately, with their anti-social attitude and inflatable prices. First, they lie about the sushi, claiming they make it fresh. Right on the bottom of the package it admits it's from Dallas, Texas. These gals become ruder and more toxic with passing time, as they maintain a façade that they don't speak English. They constantly avoid eye contact, as they pretend to act busy, aware there are customers who have been waiting thirty minutes or longer to get their attention. The majority of what they call sushi isn't sushi at all, another lie. This is the stuff they advertise as "Wednesday $6 Sushi Special". There is no fish in any of this amalgam; only small chunks of vegetables with ordinary salad dressings dripped over it. Well, at least it's pretty to look at. They hate being asked for soy sauce or wasabi, both of which they like to skimp on. The wasabi isn't placed where it can be found, and the soy sauce is conveniently hidden behind the end cap of the cooler, making it hard to find and harder yet to reach. Talk about compulsive cheapskates. Stuff they insist is sushi include - are you ready? - Spam, that rancid, 1940s canned blob of salty grease that's passed off as some kind of cat food for upscale humans. Most of these are sold as "rolls". And the only crab they sell is "krab", which resembles gelatinized toothpaste. Real sushi is made with seaweed, but these culinary amateurs never heard of it. Nor have they heard of octopus, eel, yellow tail, roe or any of the other commonly popular sushi cuts. Maybe those breeds of seafood don't thrive well in the waters of Dallas, Japan. Don't get me wrong, they sell a ton of this home-made, mickey-mouse mash to people who naively think they're eating real sushi. The only true cuts of sushi they sell is salmon, tuna and shrimp, which they keep slicing thinner and thinner, while keeping their prices higher than a confederate flag on 4th of July.
