Things like the ticket booth, corn maze, and giant slides were run by really good kids (teens)- they did things like make eye contact and conversation! We were so grateful to have found this gem. The petting zoo is so cute. It has all the typical "festival food" trucks- affordable burgers and dogs, cotton candy, BBQ (not running that night), pizza truck, fresh mini donut, etc. The bathrooms and port o pots were clean, up until the time we left, anyway. The corn maze was nice because you weren't suffocating via corn stalks or feeling overwhelmed. They have a game thru the maze. It's simple but makes it a little better to experience. Absolutely will be driving from Peoria every year to get our pumpkin patch fix here. Affordable, clean family fun- no Halloween decor anywhere, making it a nice spot for fun seasonal family photos. They have a huge cornfield maze that is not supervised. The kids had fun running around in there. We loved the pretzel stand. Their pretzels are huge and they offer a big variety of different flavors. Their pretzel dough is really good. The pretzel was crispy and fluffy. So so good. We all devoured them. Lots of fun photo ops available. One suggestion I have, make sure to order your tickets online as soon as you know you want to go visit the farm because they will sell out. They kindly let me buy tickets at the door for being a first responder. Thank you. I would have bought my tickets right away online if they had Apple pay because I did not have my card available at that time so I waited to buy my tickets. In front of The Coffee Shop, behind The Coffee Shop, next to The Farm Store, Garage East, and near Joe's Farm Grill. On a Sunday in September, there was parking and we were walk-ins everywhere. Queen Creek Olive Mill is such a delightful place to spend some time. Of course, seeing the olives are fantastic, but their infused olive oils and the dishes they create with them are equally worth enjoying. There's something so relaxing about sitting outside in the shaded portion of the property, looking out over the grounds, and even taking a little stroll among the numerous olive trees. I ended up ordering the ricotta eggs on focaccia, and gosh darn, they were DELICIOUS. The white truffle-infused olive oil was absolutely the star of the dish. It added just the right amount of rich, savory truffle flavor without overpowering the creamy eggs. The focaccia was flavorful, perfectly suited for soaking up all those delicious flavors, and made the whole dish feel extra indulgent. Picking when unripe, gassing, waxing, and transporting around the world is clearly not good for food quality, you or the environment. Hell when was the last time you bought a good tomato at the store? While I'm certainly not a tree huggin hippy I do appreciate ripe picked quality ingredients not laced in tons of chemicals and Glyphosate. This is where Greenhouse Gardens Market table comes in. Take a short drive or a bike ride over to a newly refurbished farm where the owners take pride in everything they do. We went last Sat and picked up some Swiss Chard and carrots that pulled back 3 decade old memories as how good they can be. Depending on growing season they have a variety of cool and interesting items to choose from so it is good to get on their mailing list to see what's available. They are still building and ramping up so there is still plenty to do at the farm but they have made amazing progress and I can't wait to see how it progresses and develops over time.
