a grocery store with a checkout counter
April A.

First time in this store and I see why it's popular: lower prices than many of the big name/big box stores and also organic items at much lower prices. You put a quarter in to unlock the cart, use it for your shopping, & when finished, you put your cart back, lock it, & you get your quarter back. Keeps the number of stolen carts down. Also, you bag your own groceries. That helps keep the costs down as well. I bought 3 reusable Aldi bags for future trips. I was impressed with the store itself. Nice wide aisles to go through while shopping. Cashier service is awesome and the cashiers are very helpful and friendly. The ambiance is busy yet quiet. Perfect when you don't want craziness while shopping I saved close to $50 on my groceries! What I bought today was $88 and would have cost me close to $130 at Walmart, where I usually shop! Aldi will be my go to from here on out except for certain items I can only get at Walmart.

The store seemed messy. It seemed like the employees really hadn't taken time to make the store look organized. I'm in no hurry to come back

Don't forget to bring a quarter if you want to use a shopping cart! (Or bring a reusable bag)

Not all items very fresh. Eggs dated today. None with better dates. Gallon of milk same price as Fry's.

I adore this farmers market. I'm not sure I'd actually call it that, but I go here for all of my…read moreproduce, herbs, and bread! I just left with: raspberries, mushrooms, cotton candy grapes, several apples, bananas and avocados plus a huge mango for $12.50! I put the same items in a cart at Fry's... $25 (& that's with coupons). I don't eat meat - but my friends have commented on their meat prices being fair or lower than the grocery stores. I'd highly recommend this spot to everyone in Gilbert. They do have jams, spices, and candies that are a touch spendy.

Extremely clean, spacious, and filled with good old fashioned fun. I genuinely debated on leaving a review because I don't want everyone coming here and trashing up the experience (lol). But they well deserve the accolades! We went on 10/22/26, starting at 4pm and stayed until 6:30pm. The customers are quality people- no littering of food waste, no obnoxiously crude or raucous behavior so that everyone can enjoy themselves with their families. Things like the ticket booth, corn maze, and giant slides were run by really good kids (teens)- they did things like make eye contact and conversation! We were so grateful to have found this gem. The petting zoo is so cute. It has all the typical "festival food" trucks- affordable burgers and dogs, cotton candy, BBQ (not running that night), pizza truck, fresh mini donut, etc. The bathrooms and port o pots were clean, up until the time we left, anyway. The corn maze was nice because you weren't suffocating via corn stalks or feeling overwhelmed. They have a game thru the maze. It's simple but makes it a little better to experience. Absolutely will be driving from Peoria every year to get our pumpkin patch fix here. Affordable, clean family fun- no Halloween decor anywhere, making it a nice spot for fun seasonal family photos. Check them out, it was very worth it for this Midwestern-roots family!

As a foodie one of the ongoing frustrations is the movement toward shelf life, uniformity and quantity produce over quality and locality. Picking when unripe, gassing, waxing, and transporting around the world is clearly not good for food quality, you or the environment. Hell when was the last time you bought a good tomato at the store? While I'm certainly not a tree huggin hippy I do appreciate ripe picked quality ingredients not laced in tons of chemicals and Glyphosate. This is where Greenhouse Gardens Market table comes in. Take a short drive or a bike ride over to a newly refurbished farm where the owners take pride in everything they do. We went last Sat and picked up some Swiss Chard and carrots that pulled back 3 decade old memories as how good they can be. Depending on growing season they have a variety of cool and interesting items to choose from so it is good to get on their mailing list to see what's available. They are still building and ramping up so there is still plenty to do at the farm but they have made amazing progress and I can't wait to see how it progresses and develops over time. I hope this piqued your interest and you stop on over and support local food, local owners, and grab some awesome fruits and veggies. Right now in the winter they are open on Sat from 9am to noon but you can check their FB page for updates and changes.
