I stopped by The Orange Patch, and it's exactly the kind of place that reminds you how good citrus can actually be. The standout for me was the Oro Blanco grapefruit. Sweet, mild, and none of that sharp bitterness that makes you question your decisions. They also offer different orange size options, which is genuinely appreciated. Sometimes you want smaller, easy-to-eat oranges, and sometimes you want the big, juicy ones. They make it easy to choose. The freshly squeezed juice is excellent. Bright, clean, and refreshing without being overly sweet. It tastes like it came straight from the source because it did. The staff was also incredibly friendly and attentive. One of the women working there offered to help multiple times, whether it was carrying things up to the front or answering questions about the different citrus options. It felt welcoming without being pushy, which is always a win. If you value quality fruit, fresh juice, and genuinely kind service, this is an easy place to recommend and one I'd gladly visit again. read more

This is such a cute little store! We stopped in for the first time and loved the fresh citrus smell! They had samples to try and we bought tangerines! They were all so delicious and fresh tasting! Also the orange juice was being freshly squeezed right there! read more

Unfortunately, the Lehi Rd. location has closed down, since new housing developments are going up in it's place. Sad to see the orange groves & old store torn down. They have relocated to the southwest corner of Gilbert, & Thomas Road, in Mesa. The new location is smaller, but they still have orange juice, oranges, lemons, candy, honey, etc. They have seasonal hours, from Dec. thru the end of March. They reopen on Memorial Day, for their Farmer's Market, til July 4th. It's worth the stop, to support a family business. read more

Cute little place! Great customer service. The workers were welcoming and kind. Absolutely love their navel oranges! It's a cute "general store" setting. Got a box of seconds; navel oranges and kinnow. The box we got of the navel oranges was $19 and a box of kinnow was $15. I never heard of kinnow before, but they had some samples to the right (when you walk in) in the front of the store. We got some honey, pecans (shelled), pecan nugget candy, cashew nugget candy and the peppermint nugget candy. All of which are so delicious and NOT sticky at all! I'm a fan of nuggets and some are really sticky. Wasn't able to take a look at the second location, but I heard it's more merchandise than fruits/food. I heard this place is only opened during the orange season (nov-March); I might be wrong but you might wanna call and ask to make sure. Without a doubt a totally recommend this place for sweet navel oranges! So when you are in town during those months, make sure you stop by and smell the oranges! I'll be back. The Orange Patch on Gilbert Road is a must stop for us!! The fruit is sweet snd delicious with various kinds to choose from. The orange juice is so delicious, with no sweeteners added! Located in the middle of the orange groves, Orange Patch is a great stop for local produce, gifts, juices, etc. The Orange Patch Too store on Mckellips road has apparel, home decor, ice cream, local canned goods, etc. The merchandise can be on the pricier side, but it's local/high quality stuff, so worth the stop in. read more

As of 11/23 aOpen for the season (they open late fall, call them for a recorded message if you're not sure they're open for the season). Really neat citrus and gift store / orange grove. Very well done. There's even an 1954 Lincoln in the grove that you can go look at. They sell and sample many kinds of citrus and a ton of homemade sauces, pickled items, salsas, candies, etc. Lots of soup mixes, gifts, dates, ice cream, fresh OJ, and hundreds of other items packed into the vintage-looking wood building. Such a fun little spot to buy local citrus. Perfect for winter visitors to Arizona. Also a great place to go if you want to taunt your friends and relatives who live in colder climates. You can ship them fresh Arizona oranges and grapefruit direct from the Orange Patch. I've also had them prepare a box for me to take on an airline flight, complete with a twine handle. Samples are always available, which is very helpful when there are multiple similar varieties from which to choose. The staff is very accommodating, often able to assemble customized bags and boxes of citrus on the spot. The store itself is very cute. Kind of an old west feel. They also sell candy and nuts and honey and so on, as well as ice cream. There's even a small seating area in a corner of the store in which you can enjoy your purchases. Out back you'll find orange trees and a very clean freestanding restroom. While construction of the 202 Red Mountain Freeway wiped out much of the citrus right behind the store, you'll still get a sense of being in an orange grove, especially if you're a kid. While you're in the area, stop in at the Greenfield Citrus Nursery next door. They have live peacocks and chickens wandering about the premises, entertaining for kids and adults alike. read more

Of all the fruit stands in the valley this is the best. The oranges are amazing!! This store not only has just oranges but lots for great local foods as well. I highly recommend checking this place out. Its well worth the drive if you don't live close by. * helpful tip: The cost of the oranges, lemons, grapefruit and tangelos are very cheap. Product amazing citrus, delicious oranges, and great assortment of products like honey, hams, dates, etc. we did come at the end of the season, but the woman could have been a little more helpful. Coming from out of state with great reviews thought it would be a great family place. Asked her to tell me a little about it... maybe it has just been a long season. I love the oranges from The Orange Patch. Almost as good as the ones I used to pick from my aunts tree in Mesa, AZ. :) We usually get a box in January when the oranges are super perfect. Last year while on a road trip to AZ, we stopped in. Even in March the oranges were super yummy! They are super nice to work with and ship pretty much anywhere! Where else in the Phoenix metro can you get orange or grapefruit juice of this quality from citrus grown on site. The juice alone is worth the trip. I have fond memories of this place from my childhood in Mesa. Every time we drove down to it from our home nearby in Mesa, I felt like we were going transported to a different time and place (sounds cheesy, I know, but I have strong feelings of nostalgia attached to this place).
