The farm

I LOVEEE this place!! It's so cute and I love that the little shop allows you to buy homemade or farm fresh food!! It's AWESOME! The workers are so nice & helpful.

I had a really nice time sipping my drink by the duck pond--such a peaceful spot. It's a great place to walk around and soak up the sunshine around the farm. Everyone working here was super friendly and offered unique, personalized suggestions for trying new drinks, which I appreciated. It's a quiet, relaxing place to hang out. Get here early in the morning, so you can try the breakfast tacos!

My daughter bought these 12/22 at Air Guitar. We can't believe them!!! They are still beautiful and we have never added any water-- long story. They were meant for a gift that never happened due to illness. We all just assumed someone else was watering. Nope! They are almost creepy that they are still so beautiful after weeks!! Well worth any $ you pay for their flowers. Now I want to go to the farm store to try the produce. amazing!

Schnepf Farms - Lots of beautiful decor

Schnepf Farms

This place is a lot of fun to visit with kids…read more I didn't know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. They have a cafe with breakfast, lunch, baked goods, and coffee. They also have a little store where the cafe is where you can buy pickles, jams, and other goods in jars. There is a little train that runs every 30 minutes ($5) that gives you a good tour of the farm. There is a playground and rooes course for kids as well as an area with animals that has goats, pigs, sheep, a donkey, chickens, and roosters. There is also a farm area where you can pick your own vegetables. There are little buckets with garden shears to help cut off the leaves. I wanted to pass this information along regarding all there is to do there because I had trouble finding it on their webpage.

12.13.25 - First time attending Christmas at Schnepf Farms and I thought it was so cute!…read moreUnfortunately, we arrived later than planned so I don't feel like we explored everything. The place seemed pretty big. It was like walking into a Christmas village. There were Christmas lights, decor, and even a bit of fake snow. What would have made it better is if they added speakers throughout the place and had Christmas music playing. It seemed like there are plenty of things to see and do here. Train rides, other rides, mini golf, bouncy house, paint ball, ice skating, arts & crafts, bonfires, food/drinks, and plenty of photo ops throughout the place. I tried food from Sublime Cheesesteaks food truck. I ordered the Goucho Cheesesteak and it came out to $16.80 total. My friend ordered the Original. Goucho was good. I think my friend said Original was good too. I did see a food stand selling taters and fries. That sounded good at the time too! It was so cold out (forgot my jacket) so I was trying to hurry and find some hot cocoa to warm up a bit. Found a cocoa cart and I believe it was $7 a cup. Added marshmallows and crushed peppermint to mine and it was perfect! I for sure want to come back again but earlier next time to see everything! Also, hope to see the pumpkin patch this year as well. Tip #1: purchase your tickets online ahead of time for the date you plan to attend. They might sell out if you wait until the day of. My friends bought their entrance & train tickets a week or so before I did. By the time I purchased, the train tickets were sold out. GA tickets: $25.95 ($28.18 after tax) Train ride: $10 Tip #2: carpool with friends especially if you have a lower car and care about it. I believe the road after turning into the property and the parking was all dirt and gravel. Luckily, I carpooled with friends who had an suv

The Farm At South Mountain - Beautiful

Very pretty, working location that normally closes for the intense Arizona summers. You can walk…read morethe property and see what they have growing, and say hello to the chickens/ducks and sometimes turkeys in their coops. This is also a reservable venue for weddings! The food here is pretty pricey, but delicious. It's a great time when the weather is nice to sit outdoors and enjoy a good meal. The eggs are fresh and most of the produce is too. Would recommend!

2/28/26: it was disappointing eating lunch at The Farm. Years ago we had eaten at Quiessence and…read morehad a lovely time. Wanting to try another of their restaurants before the ungodly heat arrived, we decided to stop in for lunch. Parking: can be a bit nerve wracking, especially parking in the dirt lots east of the place. You have to walk across 32nd St & if you know Phoenix drivers, this can be dangerous. There is a pedestrian light now, though, so that helps -- but oddly enough, there's no "walk" signage. It's merely a blinking yellow light for north- sound-bound traffic so you have to pray to the universe drivers are paying attention & actually stop for you. Ordering: a bit odd. The main door we went in was more the middle door that didn't really take you to the beginning. There's a drink station then the food station. We skedaddled to the right of the main doors for the drink order, only to discover there's another door that people walk through to place orders. So we joggled w/ another customer trying to figure out who was there first. It honestly felt like a school cafeteria, a bit chaotic, as well as cramped. The patio was pretty large & well shaded, but it was also full -- and this particular day also the ONLY SHADE. We were left to sit at one of their many tables on the grounds with no shade. Food: not worth the $77 we paid. I get it's a working farm, & though we try to support local as much as possible, the food we ordered was not good enough that we will stop by again. The strawberry fields salad was a typical salad, no wow factor there. The Italian sammy was dry. There was a minuscule amount of some kind of dressing on it, but def not enough. Dessert: red velvet whoopie pie was so overpriced it's not funny. If it tasted great, I wouldn't complain...it did not taste great. The pecan pie was abysmal; not enough filling and very bland. Two "specialty" drinks, a salad, a sandwich, & two small desserts, for $77? No, sorry, not again.
