I have lived in this town my entire life, back when it was mostly farmland, no streetlights, and stop signs, and I have been shopping at this Fry's since it opened. For years, I've brought my elderly dog with me, who simply sits quietly in the cart. She does not bark, get up, bother customers, or cause any issues. She basically just lays there. Over the past 3-5 years, as the town has grown rapidly, this store has gone downhill fast. What used to feel like a normal, small town grocery trip now feels chaotic and stressful every single time. The store is always packed, customers are constantly cutting people off, not paying attention to where they're walking, and acting rude or disrespectful. Shopping here has become an awful experience. Today, after years of bringing my elderly dog in without a single issue, I was stopped immediately upon entrance and told to leave. I understand stores have policies they have to follow, but the way it happened felt cold and frustrating, especially after being a loyal customer for so long. This town used to have a more rural, neighborly feel, and this Fry's used to reflect that. Unfortunately, it no longer does. Even though there is a closer Fry's to our house, we shop at this one. Just a quick heads up today... Yesterday bought a pack of bone in ribeye steaks. On sale for I think $ 10 lb. Love our neighborhood Fry's off Ellsworth & Riggs. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, the store is clean and always stocked except when the warehouse does not have an item. Laura (front end) at the self checkout always makes me smile and is always so helpful. Love the promotions for charity they do with "Gloria's Salsa" as an incentive to donate. The asst mgr is always worrying about getting the carts brought in but she also worries about the emp[loyees in the heat and if they stay hydrated. This speaks volumes. California friends: when I say I'm at Fry's, I don't mean the electronics/computer store, lol! This is a grocery chain and it's pretty damn nice! These stores are loaded with everything you'll find at a regular grocery store, and some even sell clothes (kinda like a Super Walmart). They have sales like every other store and the savings do add up! The employees are helpful and the stores are clean. I recommend shopping here over most of the other grocery stores in the area. This is the biggest Fry's I have ever been in. I rolled through here on the last day of the year to get some black eyes peas, which my wife insists you have to eat on New Years for luck in the coming year. I have never heard of before this but it's easier to swallow a spoonful than argue with the wife so there you go. They had almost all of the registers open, plenty of parking and the place wasn't a distaste like WalMart although it had a WalMart Superstore feel to it with clothing, she and electronics aisles. There is also a huge Starbucks attached to it as well, so you can get your coffee fix on before shopping. read more

I love coming here for their fresh sushi and for my grocery needs. It's not far from my house and the staff here are always so friendly. The store is always clean and has great turn over on their items. They have so much variety and products to choose from. For kids, they offer free fruit that's available in the fruits/veggies area. If you haven't already, download their app so you can save more on certain sale items. Keep in mind the entrance on the Starbucks side closes at 7 PM. It's always fresh and if you ask the gentleman making it, he will make you something custom :) we get it a couple times a month and it's always a great experience and fresh. Today, once again my wife wanted to visit the Fry's grocery store after hitting the gym, however I reminded her of the understaffing issue and poor employee morale that infects that location. We only need to get lunch meat at the deli she said so I was overruled. . As I waited in the deli line which there was no line at all, the employees were working on something I said hello to both of them, Letting them know I was there. Usually, they write my name down and let me continue my shopping however this time that did not happen. Another customer arrived and was taken before me while my wife waited. I went to the customer service counter to ask for the manager. I spoke with a gentleman named Avery. He had stated that the manager is busy and cannot see me. I am perplexed as I'm not sure what the store manager's job at this location is, but I did think it was customer service. I must've been wrong.. Probably won't come back to the store for quite some time as I believe the morale is super poor due to bad management. People need to get fired so that they can start doing their jobs. Horrible Customer Service and the Digital Coupon Weekly Specials are a scam. 1/2 the time the clerks are rude and do not have a clue what is on sale or not. Today was the best...... a speciality salad dressing had a big shelf sign for 1.99, and when asking the clerk to please check the price the clerk became indignant & rude. As it tuned out, the same sign in very small numbers said the 1.99 was for a purchase of 5. Give me a break!!! The clerk at that point was as rude as can be....smirking when she looked me in the eye and said "YOU read the sign wrong" and are wrong. Unbelievable!!! Scanners have not helped other than to create lazy rude clerks who have no idea what is on sale, what is a special and the length of the ad. Easy for the store to accept this behavior and blame it on the clerks when the company is responsible for the training standards which do not exist. The applicants they hire are pathetic. read more

This 5 star review is specifically for Sue and Lashay. These two really pulled through for me in a potentially terrible situation. I had left my wallet in a shopping cart and a customer turned it in. It was easy to see there was a thick amount of hundred dollar bills just inside the zipped pocket of the wallet ---I had just sold my boat. These two put the wallet in the store safe until I came for it. Not so much as a penny was out of place. The integrity and honesty these two possess brought me to tears upon picking up my lost wallet. I want to thank you both again -- you set the bar very high and what you did should not go unnoticed-- I offered a reward but company policy would not allow them to take it. Can't shop at Queen Creek Arizona store on Ellsworth. They forcefully take away your groceries after you pay for them. The front end manager told me I didn't pay. I had to prove it with Fry's card, receipt and discover card. Filing a lawsuit. Don't shop at this store. They humiliated me publically saying I didn't pay. They act like police officers. They are incompetent and abusive. I had to argue for a. Hour with manager to get what I paid for. Got on phone with husband and told me to call the cops for theft. They are now saying we don't pay when we do to take back groceries. Contacting attorney general office. Self service clerk is an idiot. Because I did two separate transactions to get cash back she insisted I didn't intend on buying the other half of my groceries. Explained it three times but she's too stupid to understand and shut down register after I paid and left he standing there 20 minutes and front end manager would not listen grabbed my paid for bags took them -- that's theft. Store is clean but it's new. I had a checker today, nice woman but NOT trained. The woman in front of me checked her goods on her cart, "thanks hun" but checker didn't know how to ring things up take things off or remove security devices from clothing, and then when her register was jammed, didn't know how to call a supervisor , which I had suggested. "they didn't show me how to do that " Poor lady. It's a holiday weekend and they have one register open. They have only the self check outs open. The lines go all the way to the aisles. The self checkouts are ridiculous. Get rid of them already. You pay for less cashiers but the good prices still go up. Hire more cashiers and get rid of the self checkouts. Even when I do go through the self checkouts I'm constantly stopped. I'm constantly treated as if I stole something. Or the machines continues to mess up. But no one is around to help me. It's insane when Walmart has more cashiers open than Frys. read more

We were so excited to have a new Fry's open near us. now that the "new business" grace period is over, one might think most of the bugs would have been worked out by now. Quite the opposite. Initially the deli was a catastrophe. 30+ minute waits were the norm. while that has improved it's often hit or miss that your wait time will be appropriate. I've left without getting assistance more often than not. 3pm on a Tuesday: Tried getting help at "Murray's " cheese. Two employees ignored me. After about 5 min. I asked another employee if anyone could help. He went for someone while the two behind the counter remained inattentive. I saw him about ten minutes later and he asked one of the dynamic duo behind the counter. one of them finally turned to me and said Murray was close. huh? Asst. Mgr. told me she would send someone over. 15 minutes later still nobody. I left that store for the last time. This is just one of the many customer non-service issues I've had with this store. In all fairness, some employees are kind and helpful. However, the ratio of good to not-so-good doesn't work for us. I'm done. P.S. Your app is extremely poor and cumbersome. read more

Very disappointed in how I've been treated twice by one of your front end supervisors at the new Fry's on Queen Creek and Signal Butte. His name is Justin and I've only seen him twice and both times were horrible experiences. First time was around 7/12 or so, there was a display for Takis for 1.99. I noticed that in small print the sale ran through 7/9 but took a picture of the sign to see if it would still be honored. When I got to the check out I showed the cashier the picture and she called Justin over. I showed him the picture and he just rolled his eyes and said, well that sign needs to come down now, he did the override and walked away what seemed to be an annoyed attitude. Needless to say a few days later when I was back in the store, the same sale tag was still up. The second time I interacted with him was on 7/27. I took my two 13 year old boys with me to pick up a few things. I'll admit my boys were jumping all over each other horsing around, but at all times they were with me. We used the self check out and as I was finishing up, Justin came over and stood next to the employee who mans the self checkout lanes. He stood there with his arms crossed watching me. As I grabbed my bags, he stopped me and said that some customers told him they saw my kids stuffing things in their pockets. I asked if he was serious and he simply said "yes" I called my boys over and asked them to empty out their pockets, my one son had nothing but his phone and my other son had some loose change and a few candy wrappers. Neither of them knew what was going on and were confused and kept asking what happened. After embarrassing all of us in front of other customers he didn't even acknowledge that they stole nothing, didn't apologize, didn't say thanks, nothing, just turned around and walked away. Needless to say I was beyond upset and had to hold myself back from making a scene and calling him out, but I didn't. I realize kids do stupid things and do steal, but my kids were with me the entire time, were completely clueless and displayed no hesitation about emptying their pockets, that should have been a clear sign to Justin. I will continue to shop at Fry's and have always patronized Kroger brands, feel free to check my profile with my phone number to see the amount of business I give to the Kroger brand, however if I have any further experiences with Justin, it will not be pleasant, and he will get an earful from me next time. read more

Positive note: Shelves usually seem well stocked and the produce area is never lacking. Overall cleanliness of the store is very good. The vendors are courteous while in the aisles. Checkout clerks are nice. Negative note: The younger staff members have horrible customer service. My wife and I have repeatedly witnessed staff cut off customers by walking directly in front of the customer's cart and making the customers walk around them. We watched as two younger staff purposefully walked slowly down the middle of an aisle, making customers move around them or completely stop to let them walk by. The worst part was the employees started giggling while this was happening. The same happens with the e-shoppers who look at customers with a "you're in my way" look. My own personal event happened when a younger employee slowly walked directly in front of my cart, cutting me off, and making me have to completely stop. He just gave me a dismissive look and offered no apology. He then turned and began walking even slower directly in front of my cart. When I could finally go around him, I asked him for his name and his manager. He refused to answer, turned away and mumbled "F--- you". I had to ask another employee to call for a manager. The manager was receptive and concerned, but she also looked like she fields numerous complaints. If I see this employee at this Fry's in the future, I will know the store does not value its customers. I will have no choice but to contact Fry's corporate office. read more
