The Uprooted Kitchen counter, display case and kitchen
    Aimee K.

The Uprooted Kitchen offers so many delicious vegan and vegetarian dishes it's difficult to choose every time I'm there! Someone asked me today what I've tried there and the list was too long I had to pull up the menu to remember all of my favorites. For my latest visit, I tried a few new things and I wasn't disappointed! Buffalo Cauliflower Chickpea Burger, Smashed Roasted Potato and a Cold Turmeric Matcha. All of the dishes were vegan and so was my drink. Everything was so tasty as always! Chad is always remembers me even when I haven't been in for a while and is always smiling! Chef Erin is always busy in the kitchen pouring her heart into the food she prepares for all of her appreciative dining fans. They have open seating available on their family style tables for inside dining by the display case and patio seating outside for those wanting a little bit of sun outside of the Barnone building at Agritopia in Gilbert. Convenient parking is plentiful and all around the complex so it's so easy to get to them but admittedly gets quite crowded on the weekends. For those that have a sweet tooth they offer some wonderful treats that are healthier for you while also being indulgently delicious. For those that have to go gluten free, they do have some delicious items to choose from here. Stop in for a bite and discover all the wonderful things they have to offer!

If I could bottle up the feeling of comfort and nourishment, it would taste exactly like the food (especially soups) at Uprooted Kitchen. Their weekly specials are always creative, fresh, and somehow exactly what my body needs that week. The desserts are indulgent without being a sugar crash trap! They feel like a treat and a good decision. The owners make the space feel like home. You're greeted like a friend, not just a customer. It's casual seating inside of Barnone at Agritopia, which is always a fun location to walk around. Wholesome, plant-based goodness all around!

After seeing the reviews I was hoping for better but I was very disappointed. When I first moved to the area a new friend invited me out to try some vegan food. Everyone raved about the Uprooted Kitchen & I was very excited to try. I'm sad to say that I was very happy. The service was fine but my salad tasted weird. It had way too much going on & no flavor at the same time. The seeds didn't help. This is just not for me.

Pros: good food, friendly staff, fun location (close to other restaurants, coffee shops, and the Beer Barn) Cons: me going into this meal with very high expectations of the breakfast sandwich. People raved about the breakfast sandwich on Yelp, and while it was good, it wasn't outstanding IMO.

Delicious healthy food!! If you are looking for Vegan or Vegetarian spot this is the place! Located inside of Barnone. They have indoor and outdoor seating areas. I have been wanting to try this place for awhile based off of the reviews. They have a wide selections to choose from. Service was definitely five stars!! Unfortunately for me, I'm allergic to tree nuts and many items had nuts. The owners Erin and Chad were super accommodating about my allergies and added in different ingredients to my order for substitutions when items contained nuts. They are super creative with their dishes and they definitely know how to make healthy food taste good!! I would definitely recommend this place and will come back to try other items on the menu. Thank you Erin and Chad!!

Amazing food and ambience. This is in agritopia of Gilbert, quaint little restaurant. Food is very delicious. Amazing people here very community oriented. If you are vegan, you should definitely try here.

First time customer, I ordered the Buffalo Cauliflower Buckwheat Tacos and Roasted Sweet Potato Fries. The meal was very tasty, satisfying and healthy. Enjoyed my conversation with Chad to learn how he and his wife Erin came to be plant-based restauranteurs. Will be back for more!

Yes, I drove 2.25 hours to eat here, and yes I did have other business in the Phoenix area that day. But my first stop was The Uprooted Kitchen and my meal here left me hungering for the next opportunity to make the journey. I was fortunate enough to be there when the Thanksgiving Naan-wich was on special. I cannot get over how fabulous the housemade quinoa and oat naan was, and the holiday fillings were a real treat. Speaking of treats, the Chocolate Tart was incredible and it, alone, would have been worth every mile of that trip.

Food is ALWAYS delicious, consistent with flavor and plentiful. Service, always a good greeting and meal suggestions. Choice of indoor/outdoor dining with quiet surroundings and space.

The food is delicious and nourishing. The family is closing in May and I'll try to visit as much as possible before their closure.

The Agritopia Community Garden is a gathering place for members to garden, grow healthy produce, and build community in the garden. There are 48 individual 20x20 plots and 6 half plots. Each plot is leased yearly. The plot, water, access to the tool shed, and social functions of the gardeners are all included in the lease. Also located in Agritopia is The Epicenter, which is a mixed use commercial and residential project featuring retail stores, health clubs, restaurants, a luxury apartment, and more to come. Agritopia is one of my favorites if not my most favorite place in the Valley. I love the community, what it offers as well as the stores and restaurants. Although there are plenty of free parking all around Agritopia, it can be challenging to find a spot on weekend evenings as well as Farm Nights.

I did some checking of prices and truly, you may pay a few more cents then going down to the local grocery store, but overall...it wasn't that out of whack! Everyone working was friendly and pleasant and open to questions, responding with suggestions and ideas as well as information. What a true gem in the middle of a busy mixed-use space including restaurants and apartments and other event venues.
