I've eaten here a couple times and I think both times I had Harissa Avodado. Now if you're not a fan of spicy then do NOT order this. Nowhere in ther description does it say spicy but it's spicy. Description: Harissa honey chicken, Crazy Feta®, hummus, avocado, corn, cucumber, feta, pickled onions, basmati rice, Super Greens, harissa vinaigrette I like all the ingredients inside but when you eat the chicken it's so spicy. I wish the menu description would say it's spicy or has a big kick to it. I wanted to like it but ended up asking for some tzatziki sauce which still didn't ease the spicy enough for me. I'll have to try again with different protein and build my own bowl. They have different house made lemonades like cucumber, lavender, black current, orange and more. I went their for the first time and had the Steak + Harissa. It was goid, I loved the sauce. I do wish the steak was cooked more medium but it was decent. I love giving 5-star reviews! It hurts my heart to give less than 5-stars but it really helps to separate the greats from the poor, okay and good places. I can confidently say after my first visit that Cava in Chandler is great! My wife and I stopped here on a whim looking for food in the area on our way home. She remembered I wanted to try Cava and she was down, so we popped in around 7:30 on the Thursday night. Wow...the place was packed! That's always a good sign. I hadn't done my homework on what they offer, but the employees were more than gracious to go over their selections and the ingredients and toppings they have. They recommended a custom bowl and that's what I ordered. You can also order wraps and pitas. I packed my bowl with so many things I'm going to leave quite a few out due to geezer brain, but I got white rice as my base and spicy lamb + grilled chicken as my main proteins. I added red pepper hummus and harissa in my bowl, then a ton of veggies like olives, avocado, onion, cucumber, pickles, etc. I added lentils and topped it with a spicy sauce. My wife got the sweet potato base with lettuce/greens base. We also got a side of pita chips. The drink fountain has Maine Root sodas! That may be disappointing if you're a Coke or Pepsi only person, but I haven't had Maine Root in years and was super excited to get the blueberry soda again. I also sampled their root beer and it's amazing. Cava has unique craft drinks as well like a tangerine aleppo (also sampled...really good) and an assortment of limeaid/lemonades and teas. The interior was spacious enough that we could navigate around the crowds and find an open table. The tables and interior were clean, especially for the end of the day where many restaurants can be a work in progress on the cleanliness side. Drink - Pineapple apple mint drink - Love their food. Full of flavor. Their pineapple apple mint drink was tasty. I couldn't compare it to anything else at the time, but I could taste the basil. It is described online as following: pineapple apple mint - 160 Cal, this super refreshing juice is made in-house with pineapple, apple cider, fresh mint, and lime juice. The lime is why I thought it was a lemonade. I could still call it a limeade. It was thirst quenching and refreshing. Atmosphere - Quite a few people there at lunch time. No strange or strong odors or smells. No music playing when I visited. I liked that. I prefer no music over loud music. I don't like loud music. It's hard to hear with loud music. I did not visit the restroom. Service - There were about three or four employees. The service here has been quick. Order and pay at the counter. Self seating. Quick service for take out orders. Some places take a long time for take out orders. I went to a breakfast place and while their app showed the progress it took forever to get to the completion stage even during a non-busy hour. I was surprised since it was for pancakes, eggs and turkey bacon. Cava was great, especially since I was in a hurry but was really thirsty. Parking - Surface parking lot. No parking meter or parking structures. Wish there was covered parking. Nothing unique add at this time. Did not see a health rating on Yelp. Seemed clean and organized when I visited. read more

My first experience with CAVA was actually in Maryland. I am sooooo glad CAVA is finally here in Arizona and I finally made it!!!! Nothing has changed and the flavor was just the way I remember it! The portion size is great even for to-go. When I got home (20 minutes), the food still tasted great! The pita bread was crispy. All of the sauces were delicious. With so many options on the app, I was worried that the ordering process would be complex, but it was easy to follow through. I was only in the dining area for a brief moment and someone already saw me and told me I can grab my order at the pick up area. It was a smooth process. This was ok, and took care of my hunger. I ordered the build your own pita. I immediately wished I had done the bowl with rice instead. I wasn't crazy about the texture of the pita. It was thick and puffy. The harissa chicken was good and fairly spicy. I loved all the toppings. It was packed with cabbage, broccoli, tomatoes etc... it was all tasted great in the bowl with rice! I've been wanting to check this place out for a while but haven't had a chance to until now. I thought it would be a restaurant but it's actually more of a casual fast food spot with a dining area inside and out on the patio. I hadn't looked it up so it was a surprise to find out they offered Mediterranean style food. Ordering was fast and easy. The portions were quite generous and the pita wraps were very large! We ordered greek chicken and crispy falafel pita wraps and a side order of spicy lamb meatballs. Everything was quite tasty so I'm sure we'll be back again! The spicy lamb meatballs were spiced with seasonings and not spicy (hot) for anyone that might be concerned. The prices weren't overly high and seemed fairly reasonable for what we received. We weren't wanting any sides so this was just about what we needed at the time so we actually didn't overeat as we probably would have under normal circumstances. I think we just walked in after a large group departed so the tables weren't wiped down yet. The rest of the tables were kind of a mess but we were able to find a clean one. Parking is easy and just outside the front entrance. There are several dining places in the area so it might get a little crowded depending on the day and time. They're conveniently located for us to get to easily. I'm sure we'll be back again for more now that we know what to expect. First timer here after I have consistently heard people rave about this place. You can build your own bowl or pita, or choose from one of the prebuilt options on the menu. I chose to go with the harissa chicken avocado bowl and added extra chicken. The bowl is good and has a lot of stuff in it... greens, basmati rice, corn, avocado, pickled onions, cucumbers and some hummus. Some of the scoop sizes are kind of small, so certain flavors got lost in this bowl such as cucumber. Overall the flavor is really good and I would come back for this. Service was a bit slow for a "fast med. food" option but seems like they're still figuring things out. This is a great quick option packed with a lot of flavor and fairly healthy. read more

This is the only location that is bad at stocking their sauces. Every time we come, they're always out of sauces and it's between 7-8pm... they close at 10pm, I don't think they should be running out of sauces that early. The staff is always cleaning up for preclose around 8pm and always feels like they just don't care to do anything they would have to clean up for? They close at 10 pm so it doesn't make sense. Once people come in at or after 8pm, you can just see the staffs annoyance of more people coming in... it's 2 hours prior to close, no reason for that. read more

My oldest son built a bowl with grilled chicken, saffron basmati rice, lettuce, fire-roasted corn, hummus, tzatziki, and feta -- he couldn't stop raving about the combo of creamy and savory! I had a similar bowl with grilled chicken, fire-roasted corn, Persian cucumber salad, veggies, feta, and balsamic vinaigrette with tzatziki -- light, refreshing, and perfectly satisfying! Since the time they opened, have been wanting to try and finally went in on a Saturday for lunch! The set up is very much like Chipotle but here they have Mediterranean food. I wish the menu was simple like a bowl or a pita but they have chef selection which is not easy. I went with chicken and rice which is chef selection and the people behind who make the bowl have to read through the card to customize it! This makes the whole process slow. They are still getting used to but the line was long and slow which made many impatient. We can add more toppings and bases, some of them were charged extra. It costed about $35 for two people which I thought was a lot! But, the food is excellent and filling, loved the bowls! Look the food is ok, but the moment that the manager LIZBEYDY starts BULLYING and BELITTLING an employee in front of customers to where it honestly looked like hazing, that is the moment that I STOP going to this restaurant or at least not go to the location at 4010 S Arizona Ave. Chandler, AZ 85248. The assistant manager GLORIA did nothing to help and was scoffing at the employee along with the manager and they made the employee VERY UPSET. Their behavior was DISGUSTING and DESPICABLE and honestly they should be fired or at the absolute very least get A LOT more training!! We recently went to try Cava. We all ordered a wrap and they were all different. Reviews were definitely mixed in our family. By the time you actually get to sit down and eat your food, the wraps are no longer hot, because it has to travel down the assembly line. First of all, I've had entire meals left off of my order through delivery (which they delivered after the fact) which was so comical because the delivery person arrived with literally just a blondie and harissa and pita side dish. Okay, whatever. I've had food delivered without drinks. I've picked up meals that were 45 minute waits AFTER the app pickup time. We got take out so I can't speak to the service or atmosphere but the food was great! The kids meal is the right amount of food for my toddlers to share, though the pita is messy like a soft taco. I got the spicy chicken avocado pita and it was really good! It was spicy from the harissa and sweet from the corn and honey, salty from the feta. I poured a little creamy dill on it and it was enjoyable. There wasn't very much avocado and too much corn, but it was good! I liked the pickles and the chicken a lot. The serving was huge! 15$ for a pita isn't cheap but it is a lot of food- think chipotle burrito sized. That being said, the pita is messy to eat because it falls out the back.
